HT1933 The Report a problem link doesn't work on my email receipt.

I want a refund for a piece of garbage app, but the report a problem or review link doen't work.

Yu can try contacting iTunes support via this page if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
It sounds like your son made an in-app purchase, you can turn them off on your iPad via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purcahses 'off'. And depending upon what version of iOS that you have on your iPad you may also have a Require Password setting which you can set to 'Immediately' (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering).

    Automatic downloads will only work if you turn it on before you download the app.
    Are you sure that you are signed into the correct or the same ID on the iPad as you are using in iTunes on your computer. Settings>iTunes and App Stores. Check the signed in ID there.
    Do you have any restrictions enabled? Settings>General>Restrictions. Installing if apps can be restricted and you might have content restrictions set as well.

    I received an email with an invoice for a purchase of 5 apps that I DID NOT PURCHASE. IT'S ALL IN CHINESE AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO READ CHINESE. After following a tutorial on how to report a problem, i clicked on that link 'report a problem' next to the apps the thief purchased BUT IT BOUNCES ME BACK TO THE ITUNES SUPPORT PAGE. Unlike the tutorial, it did not bounce me to the 'select your problem' page. I want to report this problem so that I may get a refund on those apps i did not buy ( and do not even have on my ipod! ). Please help me.

  • I've gotten a Firefox update prompt twice now that I suspect could be malware. It never connects and the "view more information" link doesn't work. Can you advise?

    It's a small window labeled "Software Update" with the Firefox logo. It reads:
    It is strongly recommended that you apply this update for Firefox as soon as possible.
    The link provided reads: View more information about this update.
    The link is inactive and when I tried to update it searched and searched -- the phrase "connecting to . . ." was on-screen for long time, but nothing ever happened. I closed the window, then tried to learn more but the prompt didn't come back until today.

    You are not running the latest version of Firefox so it may be a genuine prompt. Try downloading and installing the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/ then see if you still get the prompt.

    What 'no work', the purchase of the app or the app has downloaded but doesn't work on your device ?
    If the purchase isn't going through then what happens, are you getting an error message ?
    If the app has downloaded but doesn't work on your device then have you tried deleting and redownloading it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it ? If that hasn't fixed it then have you contacted the developer ? If you have and they can't help then try the 'report a problem' link to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

  • FRUSTRATED - Report a Problem links not working on OSX or iOS

    Apple, youre killing me man. Looong time Apple user here.
    Used to be I could click on a support link anywhere and it would simply, and intuitively take me where I wanted to go. Today, thats not the case.  Not sure whats going on.
    I bought a Fax app and tried to send a few faxes.  Turned out, the quality of the sent fax was terrible, and unreadible by the recipient (even after three attempts, and three different types (jpg, pdf, etc). I simply want a refund since the product didnt live up to its advertised capability.
    I went to my email receipt, found the three .99 fax purchases and clicked on "Report a Problem"...hoping for an easy solution.  Nope...instead it too me to the iTunes download page. Great. Thanks Apple, I already have iTunes.
    So then I thought I would just go to my iPad or iPhone and click on the same link.  Once I clicked on it "Cannot Connec to iTunes Store". 
    My attempts to find a solution on these forums has been fruitless. I feel like im back in the days of trying to find anything on Microsofts site...just a never ending loop of redirects.
    Also, even when using the contact iTunes support links and typing in "refund app purchase", I get a return of "This is the most effective solution for your product and topic. Select how you want to proceed."

    Then, when I click on the Email icon for "More Options", even THAT link doesnt work. 
    So here I sit. If anyone has cracked this code please pass it on.

    You could try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
    If that also doesn't work then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

    I woke up today around 9:30 am UK Time, checked my emails on my phone and then started playing "Talking Ginger" kids game because of one of the offers, around 10:00 I noticed an email alert on top of my iphone screen about itunes receipt.
    When I opened this, it was about "Kids Song Collection" purchase reciept for £1:49.
    I was shocked because first of all my 3 years old daughter is sleeping, secondly I have security settings configured in iphone with a complex password to purchase and she does not know that password and thirdly I am using the phone and I know I didn't even open App Store or that app so how come this has happened.  I did a search on google about how to report and tried to follow the process through itunes but every time I click on "report a problem in itunes" this opens a new apple page in firefox "http://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/"
    Whilst further browsing Purchase History in itunes I also noticed another purchase from yesterday about "FireWorks Arcade" and this was unbelieveable because I didn't even receive any receipt yesterday about that purchase and again I am the only one who can make purchases due to the complex password known only to myself.
    I am not sure what is going on here, but clearly as per today's incident it seems that apple is loosing their control.
    Please advise what can be done here.

    Can someone please tell me how to report an app that doesn't work and get a refund?
    The app won't allow feedback (as soon as you type anything the "Submit" button is disabled) and the link for its support goes to a web site that appears to be totally unrelated.
    The "Report a problem" link on iTunes just takes me to the generic support page with a 1000 links to various forums etc. That's for nothing Apple.
    I can provide more details but I don't even know if this is the right place yet.
    Now maybe it's just me being a newbie with this whole Apps/iPad thing but it is NOT a user-friendly system IMO.

    Express Lane is indeed how you contact the iTunes Store. The page I provided the link to is the one you reach when you click "Contact Support" in the sidebar.
    Is there no simple way to immediately cancel an order if you realize in the first fifteen minutes that it is not working as expected?
    There is no way to cancel an order at all, not within fifteen minutes, not within fifteen seconds. Once you click the "buy" button, you've purchased the item, and the Terms of Sale for the iTunes Store state clearly that "all sales are final". So if you are requesting a refund, you have to email the iTunes Store via the form you reach through Express Lane, explain the reasons for the request and hope that iTunes Store Customer Service will grant you an exception.

    I tried to insert data into an Excel file but it seems the Report Generation Toolkit Evaluation doesn't work.
    Attached file my VI.
    LV is saying i have to activate the product in order to run it. An error occurs on each Report Generation subVI, which involve i never could test my application.
    I went on Help/Activate Labview component and the evalution is well activate.
    Someone has an idea why the evaluation version doesn't run Report Generation Toolkit ? A solution asap please...

    I assume you have tried toggling the setting in Firefox between Outlook and, say, Gmail:

    In the search box, type or paste '''mailto''' and pause for the list to filter.
    Change the setting and OK to save it, then return to the dialog, change back, and OK again.
    You also might want to toggle the setting at the OS level between Microsoft Outlook and the native Windows Mail client in a similar fashion. In Windows XP you could use IE's Options dialog, Programs tab, for this, but I'm not sure in Windows 7.
    Since one possibility is a problem in your Firefox settings (including the possibility of interfering add-ons), and another is a problem at the Windows level (e.g., Registry settings), it would be useful to try to identify which one it is. One quick way to distinguish is to create a new Firefox profile. It will start up with all factory settings. You can switch back to your existing profile after testing.
