No. Even if there was it wouldn't mean anything without an official statement from VZW confirming it. Anything else shared in here is speculation.

Real usage is always going to be different than whatever VZW programs into this tool. Perhaps you are referring to something else?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Major U.S. wireless carriers on Thursday pledged to make it easier for consumers to "unlock" their mobile phones for use on competitors' networks, responding to pressure from consumer groups and the top U.S. communications regulator.
Verizon Wireless, AT&T Inc, Sprint Corp, T-Mobile US and U.S. Cellular agreed to "clearly notify" customers when their devices are eligible for unlocking and to process unlocking requests within two business days, said wireless industry group CTIA.
U.S. wireless carriers often "lock" smartphones to their networks as a way to encourage consumers to renew their mobile contracts. Consumers often get new devices at a heavily subsidized price in return for committing to longer contracts.
The top carriers have long allowed consumers to unlock devices and take them to another network at the end of a contract term - commonly, two years - though the process varies by company and can be quite painstaking.
Then in late 2012, the Library of Congress, the minder of U.S. copyright law, completed a new triannual review of exemptions to the law that effectively made phone unlocking illegal, even after the consumer completed the contract.
The ruling surprised many telecom observers, outraged phone users, and finally landed on the White House's agenda thanks to an online citizen petition that gathered 114,322 signatures, more than the 100,000 needed to spur a response. The White House sided with the petitioners.
I have been a Verizon customer for a decade (10 years). Verizon is now misleading me about having my iPhone 4s unlocked. After a long discussion they finally unlocked my families phones leading me to believe it was nationally. I just found out that they are REFUSING to unlock my phones in an effort to keep me with Verizon and very large monthly payment plan. If my phones were unlocked, I might stay with Verizon, however, in light of their deliberate attempt to lie to me and keep me hostage, I will most like buy new phones and move away from Verizon within the week.

I believe that the carriers have 3 months to partially implement this "pledge" and 12 months for it to be fully implemented.

Any Info on 3G Versions?

Does anyone have any info on when the 3G version of the S10-2 is expected to be available for purchase? I really need a 3G netbook and the S10-2 seems to be a pretty good choice. If this is not expected to be available soon, anyone know of any good alternatives?

I bought mine for that same reason and now found out that the BIOS will only allow approved hardware including 3rd party 3G mini-pci cards that really sucks wouldn't even see the one I installed, couldn't even upgrade my WiFi card to N the same one I was using in my S10. Wouldn't allow me to even start up past post on my S10-2 gives a NOT APPROVE HARDWARE REMOVE AND RESTART. We need a BIOS flash hack. I hope in the near future Lenovo will get there act together and unlock the S10-2 BIOS to allow us to run what we want but have a feeling that wont happen soon very disappointed.

Hi Michael,I understand now where you are coming from and thank you for clear explanation. The answer to your question I think is short. The cisco PIX/ASA firewalls by default comes to the end users already pre-hardened,to prove this a firewall out of the box comes with default configuration.
The Firewall will at least have there important components, that is,PIX OS code,
inside,and outside interfaces. As you may well know the two interfaces are outside and inside interface. The default firewall configuration will always comes as such with outside interface with security level of(0 Zero)as the un-trusted interface or interface facing outside world, security 0 with no firewall implicit inbound access rules for connection means nothing will come inbound as requested traffic from outside as all inbound traffic is blocked. In other words, all TCP/UDP ports are blocked by default, on the other hand the inside interface comes as default with security level of 100 trusted side and some but not all ports in this interface are opened to go outbound. This is a fundamental aspect of the firewall, until you explicitly start opening or allowing inbound traffic then there is where DMZ and other aspect of security architecture comes in place such as IPS or intrution detection systems etc..
I hope I have contributed to answer your question, I could not find a document explaining the hardening of a firewall because I don't think there isn't one, however, there are many documents in security design guidelines that shows best practice for securing networks from either outside and/or internally.. I found though a link where at least says all ports by default are blocked for outside interface security 0.

West Baltimore outage 11/19 till now - can't get any info

A large chunk of west Baltimore has had no DSL since Friday morning 11/19. Has anyone been able to get ANY info at all out of Verizon about progress toward resolution? The nice people in India give me a ticket number but cannot see any info about what is being done.

I have the problem with PO creation. Our user required to not purpose any info record information when create PO.
Because they want fresh blank PO. I don't know how to do to not activate any info record. Please advise.

If you want to delete the info record, you can set the deletion indicator with ME15 or if you want that after PO the info record should not get updated in the PO at item level in material data de-select the check box info update.

There are Craigslist apps that are nice, but trying using copy paste. Go to your photos, select the photo. Hold down your finger on it to copy. Then in the body of the post, hold down your finger and select paste.

Select the desired files then press OPTION and select Show Inspector from the Finder's File menu.
