Correct, Apple does not unlock iPhones. Only the original cellular provider can do that, and I don't believe Bell provides unlocking.

Apple does not unlock phones. Only the original cellular provider can authorize unlocking. You will need to contact them. If it is AT&T, they do not provide unlocking, ever.

If it has been Disabled after entering the wrong passcode - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.
Unfortunately, you must restore it in iTunes on your computer. There is no way to retrieve a forgotten pass lock code.
You will need to Restore your device from the same computer that you most recently synced to. See - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.

I can't unlock my phone using the touch screen on my LG Cosmos Touch. Which means I can't access the calender, recent calls, and the other features on the phone. The only thing I can do is slide the phone when I need to answer a call or send a text. I'm not sure what the problem is. I also don't want to pull the battery out and re insert it because I think if I do that, my phone will lock up permanently. Will someone help me please?

And what will happen to my old iPhone and the data on it if I activate my replacement iPhone? Will my broken iPhone just become de-activated and will the data be erased or lost or something? Could I still sync it (with the computer ir originally synced with) and back up the data?

You forgot the passcode? Restore the iphone.
Carrier unlock? ONLY Sprint cna unlock it and they will only do so for foreign carriers. Contact them and see if you qualify.
