HT1937 how come my speaker aren't loud anymore?

Was listening to music while cleaning... Then changed songs & the speakers just weren't as loud as they should be. The sound just does not get loud & it sounds all static & muffled-like. My iPhone isn't even a month old...want suggestions so I don't have to take it back to the carrier just yet. Please help me.

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you've been through ALL of these steps and you still have problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

How come downloaded files always sound louder on iPod than ripped files?

Files that I've downloaded from the internet (.mp3) always sound louder on the ipod than the ones I've ripped (.m4a) from audio cd's. How can I fix this problem? I've tried by changing the bitrates of both types of files in the Options/Import dialog of iTunes but sound remains the same.

Try using a different "ripper" I personally prefer either dbpoweramp or EAC (Exact Audio Quality) they both are very competent in what they do, namely converting various between the numerous audio file types - I don't tend to use iTunes compression. I think you'll find that as long as you rip at >=192kb/s the quality of your compressed music is equally as good as the tracks you download from iTunes. EAC is freeware, dbpoweramp is available on a free trial. They both import the correct tags for your music files - as long as the music you're ripping isn't too obscure!

- A reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Powering off and then back on your router
- Resetting network settings:
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

On your Mac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Calendars & Reminders then reselect it.
Do the same for Notes
On your iPhone and iPod. Tap Settings > ICloud
Switch Calendars off then back on. Same for Notes.
Give iCloud a few minutes to sync data.

iPhoto v7 (or iPhoto 08 dates from 2007, and is looking for Quicktime 7 to play the videos - the version of Quicktime that was current then. 10.9 uses Quicktime X.
Two options:
Upgrade to a more recent version of iPhoto
or

HT2534 How come "none" isn't an option anymore?

Im trying to create my own itunes acc I already have an Apple id. I want to download songs from itunes using only gift cards no credit or debit cards so i want to know how to do that? I was reading an old post from Apple called "HT2534" and one of the payment methods was "none" i was wondering why it didnt come up as an option for me? Sorry im new to the whole thing but any help regarding this topic would be great because its frustrating me that i have to enter a credit card number.
Side question can you use a debit card?

That page is for creating a new account without giving card details, if it's an existing account (and it wasn't created by following those steps) then credit card details will need to be entered befofe you can use it in the store.
As far as I know debit cards are no longer accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts about them being declined.

How come I can't block numbers anymore?

Hi I currently do not have any numbers blocked on my device but upon going to the my verizon account settings and looking for the blocked feature I noticed the options have been changed with the new site redesign. I no longer have the option to block a number on my phone. I contacted my dad who is the account owner for all our accounts but he assured me there has been no blocks or changes made to my phone or account so therefore I should be able to block a number like I always have been.
I have this one person sending me harassing phone calls and I need to stop it before it gets out of hand. If I click on my verizon I look to the left and click on the menu item that says "block calls and messages" and upon clicking that I click on "manage family and safeguard controls" and then scroll down the page to the option that says "call and message blocking." It shows that the item is free to install so when I click on apply it simply redirects me to the page that has the feature for "manage family and safeguard controls."
Basically I am confused and lost. I used to be able to block up to 5 numbers free of charge at one time and now idk if this the new site doing this but it is not showing me a list where I can insert a number and I have no clue what I am doing wrong.

The option is still there, but for some reason the feature fell off some phones when the site was redesigned. At least that's how it was explained to me when the same thing happened a month or so ago. I talked with a Customer Service rep who put the feature back on the phone line, then I was able to block numbers via MyVerizon again.

ok heres the problem... today I wake up all happy and stuff but when I go to pick up my iPod to listen to music it wont turn on. it just shows the sad iPod icon and a link to support. This is a strange problem. I had it with my 20gb w/ click wheel a few months ago, although i noted a loud clicking and, as described by my father, a "clunky" sound. Something that happened quite strangely is that at one point it rebooted temporarily, although quite reluctantly. it wasnt playing music though, so i decided to buy a new one. if anybody can find a reason for this apparently semi-common problem, please respond, i'd really like to have both of my iPods functioning correctly.

How come I can't take screenshots anymore?

My iPod has had the "caved in" home button for about a year now, but if I pressed firmly enough it still worked. However, ever since a couple of days ago (about 9/18 or so), every time I try to take a screenshot, it does not work anymore; it was working fine before then.
I press the power button down and the home button but absolutely nothing happens. I've used a little bit of rubbing alcohol on my button, which has made it more responsive, but still no screenshots.
My warranty expired and I don't want to get a new iTouch. Please help, many thanks.

For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds

How come some podcasts are loud while others I can barely hear?

I enjoy listening to podcasts while at work. I work in a place that does not allow head phones nor does it allow for a stereo. I use a small iHome speaker. The Red Eye Radio podcast has a perfect volume level, while the Billy Cunningham podcast, Bill Burr, and Stuff you should Know podcasts can barely hear at full volume. How come the volume is so different from show to show. Can't there be some kind of podcast/broadcast standard. I enjoy all these programs but find myself only listening to the ones I can hear.
