HT1937 i have aproblem with my Mobile Carrier

i am living in kingdom  of saudi arabia, i purchased an iPhone 4s from ZAIN as package with free Minutes and SMS but when i was unboxing thee device i found out Manufacturing defect. so i returned the device back to ZAIN retail where i purchased it first time. the Maintenance responsible person told me that thay will open ticket in apple to replace the device because it is in first 90 days. after 2 weeks i checked with Apple Dubai they told me there is no any processes on your devices. what should i do ?

i tried to get mobile number for someone in Management level. but without hope. ZAIN company has too much routine procedures. i really regret for dealing with this Reseller. so i need someone from Apple to handle this issue. is that possible?

    If you are having issues with being unable to update the apps on your iPhone, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
    First, quit all running applications and test again -
    iOS: Force an app to close
    Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
    Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
    iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

    Please upgrade your plan to Web n Walk plus. One of our users on T-Mobile UK had this to report back to us:
    T-Mobile UK are in fact port blocking to ensure fair usage on their base Web and Walk Plan. I have upgraded to Web and Walk Plus and as a result the port blocks are lifted and I get a higher data allowance!
    We were also recently contacted by T-Mobile UK, who stated the following:
    Any smart phone (iphone, android etc) that is bought directly from T-Mobile should be automatically provisioned with Web n Walk plus, if customers have bought a handset sim free then they will need to call customer services and get this added. It is free of charge for most price plans (including new plans) but some older plans will generate a charge of £5pm for this.

  • I should have stuck with T-Mobile.  Verizon is horrible.

    I switched to Verizon about 10 months ago cause I only ever heard good things.  Man, do I regret it, and since you can’t find a email address to email an actual person, I supposed I’ll write here so when I end my contract early they can’t say I didn’t try.  Let’s start from when I purchased the phones, 1st both of my parents phones that were sent were refurbished.  Clearly why they were free, they both work like garbage, and I was never told they’d be getting used phones.  I would have paid the lousy $20 bucks a phone to get them phones that actually work.  Also was promised I’d be credited for my activation fees in my first bill.  Obviously, that never happened.  Called to complain about both issues, was told the activation fee wave was unheard of and was then promised someone would get back to me regarding the used phones issue.  Clearly, nobody did.  I pay $100 more a month than what I was told I would be paying when I purchased the phones. About 2 months ago, my phone just stopped charging completely.  This was during the hurricane, I was a week without a phone, drove 40 minutes to the only open Verizon store in the vicinity, they tested the battery, that wasn’t the problem, the phone was faulty and not due to my negligence.  Under the insurance and considering I’d only had the phone for about 8 months they send a “new” one free of charge.  Well, the new one I received had broken keys on the bottom so I had to return that one as well.  Maybe that’s because the replacement phones they send are also refurbished,  but don’t worry they pass a 9 star point test.   I argued this because I feel I pay insurance for what?  Would the insurance company force you to get a used car?  It’s absurd.  I get the second “new” phone, which also was refurbished but passed a 9 point test too.  About a week into using it that wouldn’t charge either.  I again called and complained.  At this point I was for the better part of 3 weeks without a phone and furious.  I again argued about getting a refurbished phone, but it doesn’t matter.  Every phone call is a waste of breath.  I asked would I be reimbursed for my bill at all, they said they would see what they could do about that.  Obviously, I never heard back.  You would think that 3 weeks without a phone and 3 replacements, you’d at least get an email apologizing for the inconvenience.   I have heard nothing regarding one issue I’ve had with Verizon.  I am at my wits end.  Biggest mistake to leave T-Mobile.  The customer service at Verizon and their resolve to problems is amongst the worst I have come across.  I am completely disgruntled and furious I am stuck in a contract with them.  They know what they’re doing in not having a contact email to complain to.  They’d be overcome with them and couldn’t lie the way they do when you call and say they never got it.  Any time I’ve called and brought up problems from the past they make it like there is no record of it.  It’s infuriating.  I’m beyond fed up.

    Go to Verizon's website, vzw.com, log into your MyVerizon account and click on upper right hand corner link that says "contact us".  Next screen, click on last option "View More" link under "Get In Touch".  Next screen, 2nd box down on left, "Send an Email", click drop down and select, "I receive a monthly statement" and click arrow.  That will get you to the email link directly to their coporate offices.

    Problem? Can you give more information? Sending text messages does not require internet connection as it is a carrier function and use part of the voice spectrum of the connection.  If you are talking about MMS messages that is also a carrier thing and uses cellular data.  imessage (only possible to other ios devices that have imessage active) can be over cellular data but are sent over wifi (internet if that is available).  Please elaborate

    your question about compatibiltiy has 2 meanings:
    1- if your iPhone 5 is unlocked factory, it will work like all the old iphones, I upgrded to ios6 in my iPhone 4s and it is working good.
    but some locked iphones to at&t or verizon or other cariers,  will not work.
    2- if you mean that is there any nano simcard :

    The iPhone warranty has never been International.
    Take the iPhone back to the country of origin or mail it to someone you know there and have them take it in for service.

    If purchased from Apple, it will be officially unlocked & will work in India. Be aware, your warranty/support will only be valid in the US, & the phone will only support LTE in North America.

    The T-mobile phone is advertised to be SIM-free.  This does NOT mean unlocked.  Unlocked iPhone 6's are not yet for sale in the US.

    Verizon offers prepaid service on the iPhone 4. Go into your local Verizon Store with your phone. I'm sure they'll be happy to set you up with service.

    Very likely. Hard to believe the carrier in Mexico doesn't have a micro-SIM card available.
    Or somehow the Chinese carrier found out and locked it?

    What can I do? Get a new SIM and see if it works again?
    Get a micro-SIM from the carrier in Mexico that you don't have to manually cut down. If that carrier doesn't provide one, switch to another carrier that is not so low-budget.

    If the phone is purchased in the united states, warranty service will need to be provided in the united states.

    Hmmm, I just called Apple, and they claim that the phones are proprietary to the carrier, and TMobile phones can only be used on TMobile (even though GSM and unlocked), and they (Apple) cannot say if they could be used on AT&T, and suspect they could not. 
    I'm not sure I believe them (as it says on the website that the TMobile phones can accept an international SIM when traveling), but don't think I can take the chance.  I wonder if I could get one, try it, and return it if it wouldn't work with AT&T? 
    It affronts me to spend full price to get a locked phone from AT&T!
    Anybody have any more ideas?

    That's not how unlocking an iPhone works.
    The carrier the phone is locked to submits a request to Apple, wh updates their database. When that is complete, you restore the phone with iTunes to process the unlock.
