Thanks for the response. There is no cloud icon next to them. All of the songs play on the phone still and no song was purchased through iTunes. I added them manually and tried to remove them manually. According to my iTunes they've been removed but they are still on my phone and working.

    Howdy AndieKanaras,
It sounds like your iPhone is being recognized everywhere but in iTunes. I would use the troubleshooting for that issue in the following article, named:

The exact wording of Error messages and Alerts are imperative in ascertaining your issue.

Make sure you have the Current Version of iTunes Installed on your computer
    iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download
    Then See Here  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
You may need to try this More than Once...  Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
After you have Recovered your Device...

By the way I'm using a MacMini and all operating systems are up to date including iTunes.

First try a Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.
Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer

Try disabling your security software and turning off the Firewall on your PC.
    Disable antivirus software
Turn Windows Firewall on or off

    Jahnavi,
two things to be looked upon in this case. First thing is about the battery. Once the battery has enough charge in it we can try a force restore on the phone to re-install the iOS.
    > Try a hard reset of the phone (Press and hold the HOME button and the Sleep/Wake button until the phone restarts and comes up with Apple logo). After trying this step, try charging the phone and see if the battery holds the charge.
    > Once battery has enough charge in it then we can force it to DFO mode and perform restore. For restore refer to this link.

  • IPhone 3GS no longer recognized in iTunes and does not charge via wall

I upgraded my iMac to iTunes 9.2 when it came out.
My wife then upgraded her iPhone 3GS to iOS4.
Since then it is not recognized in iTunes and does not charge via the wall adapter.
I realize this topic crosses over with several ongoing discussions, but there are no 3rd party peripherals involved here.
The only major changes to our set up have been the itunes and iOS upgrades.
The battery is running down, any ideas to fix this, or other similar experiences welcome.

Went to the Apple store and they replaced the cable.

  • IPhone 3G isn't recognized by iTunes

Please help. My wife's 3G connects to iTunes but my 3G won't. This makes me think the issue is with my phone. I've re-installed iTunes and updated drivers and reset the phone. I've tried all of this prior to testing the other phone and the mini I use in my car.
I'm at my wit's end. Please help.
I am using a PC with windows XP, if it matters.
    Thanks

  • IPhone stuck on startup screen, crashes iTunes when I connect

I'm running an original iPhone. I upgraded to v2 of the OS when it came out, and was running apps with no problems until today. Today I bought a couple of new apps. When I connected the phone to my Mac, it backed up, updated the apps, and ran fine for a while. Then I tried one of the new apps (Grocery List). It didn't run. I tried it again. It crashed my phone. I'm stuck on the startup screen (with the centered Apple logo). I've tried rebooting, but I can't get past this screen. iTunes runs fine on my Mac laptop until I connect the phone, at which time I get the spinning beachball. My phone is stuck on the startup screen, and is getting real hot.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

Same frustrating boat. Attempting to force a restore as I type this out. iPhone was fine all since the 2.0 update, and did the 2.0.1 update earlier today. All seemed fine throughout the day. And at the end of the day I decided to delete an app from my iPhone and then decided to restart. That's when the apple logo stayed on the screen for what seemed forever. I've noticed it taking a while in the past, but I let it "work" for about 5 minutes and still the same apple start-up screen. Tried a force restart which did no good. Now as it's restoring I keep thinking about how long it's been taking to do a backup of the phone and so I usually just skip it.
Granted there will always be growing pains when you let hundreds of other developers all "play on your playground" at once (referring to the app store), but I can't help but feel that Apple better (great itunes just told me that the backup is corrupt) fix these problems quick as they're losing the faith of new customers and even loyal early adopters.

  • My iPhone 4 isn't recognized by iTunes, but my iPod classic is.  How do I resolve this?

I was able to sync my iPod classic to iTunes no problem.  I have not updated my phone in a very long time untilo yesterday.  I also have not synced/backed it up since March.
    I followed the instructions here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538
iTunes is update, I uninstalled/reinstalled 3 times today.
My phone has the newest iOS on it.
My USB cable and port are fine, as I just synced my iPod on it.
My phone charges, the bottom port is fine.
I've restated my phone numerous times.
I have tried the MSCONFIG onstructions.
I am unable to use another computer for this.  I can actually go into iTunes, add file to library, and add photos that way.  So, it's recognized by my computer.  However, iTunes won't reconize it to sync.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Lawrence,
    I do have AppleMobileDeviceService.exe running.
My USBs are plugging in straight into the laptop.  All 4 work.  Just today, I synced my iPod with multiple USB ports.  It works for the iPod, but the iPhone won't pop-up.  The iPhone does not appear in iTunes as a button anywhere.
I am unable to use another computer for this.  I can actually go into iTunes, add file to library, and add photos that way.  So, it's recognized by my computer.
This should have been seperated.  Basically, I don't have another computer accessible to me to back-up sync on iTunes with.
The last part means in iTunes, I can click "File > Add file to library" and the iPhone is shown as a camera icon.  I can click on it and have access to photos.  I can add those photos to the iTunes library.  That's about as far as the connectivity goes with the iPhone right now.

  • My iPhone 4S isn't recognized by iTunes after most recent update to iTunes.

So after updating to the most recent version of iTunes, my iPhone 4s will not sync with iTunes.  Before the update, no problem whatsoever.  It is recognized by my IOS (Windows 7) and I can see it on my control panel but how do I get it to sync?
    Thanks!

The new iTunes *****! It wasnt able to backup my data too and after restoring I had to Restore with my a month old Backup(Contacts were intact in that). For your problem, Goto Edit>Preferences>Devices, click "Reset Sync Data", Close iTunes and reopen. This might work and if this doesn't than Restart Your PC and Hard reset your iPhone by Pressing Home and Sleep button together(This will just restart your iPhone and won't restore anything) than Sync, else a new update or magic will help you out(if you don't plan to restore your iPhone.
