im quite interested in iPhone developement.by reading some dev books of iOS i can learn the general steps of creating an iPhone app. however, i cant find much of iPhone's system archetecture or framework information on the internet, so sometimes i was confused by the running process and principle of an app. so, im wondering cannnnnnn u guuuuuuuuuys doooooooo meeeee a little favor by answering the following questions and i appreciate that:
1. can u recommend some articles or sites from which i can take a look at the system framework of iOS?
2.'backgrounder' is an application for jailbroken iPhone to run an app in the background, i.e. multitasking. do u know what's the principle of 'backgrounder'? can u offer some links that i can get more information of 'backgrounder'?
3,the function of Multitasking, as Apple mentioned in the release of iOS 4, brought another word 'APNS', i.e. apple push notification service. i googled APNS and learned that the servers are provided by Apple and perhaps the servers are located in the U.S. so im wondering, if im using PUSH message, does that mean each PUSH message gotta travel between my country and America twice? if it's true, its gotta cost a lot and there'll be huge delay! and since APNS are maintained by Apple, is it correct to say that Apple can read every PUSH message? and the last question, there're lotta companies providing PUSH messages, and is Apple able to handle all the PUSH flow? that's really great burden i think!

Very specific question about iOS 7 and podcasts

I have a very specific question regarding the playback of podasts under iOS 7.
Right now, I've still got iOS 5.1.1 (iPhone 4S).
What I would like to have is a way to play an episode from a podcast that I have not yet finished, and when I double-click the ear-bud's middle button, then I would like to jump (skip) to the episode in the list, even if that episode is from a different podcast.
Right now, under iOS 5.1.1, I achieved that by creating a smart playlist in iTunes that collects all the episodes from all podcasts with a play count == 0.
This smart playlist is mirrored to the iPhone.
It works very well.
It seems to me that something like that is not possible under iOS 6, so I skipped that.
My question now is whether I can acheive this under iOS 7.
I would be most grateful if some kind soul could shed some light on that for me.

I do absolutely intend to print a test copy first - but thanks to your advice at least know the spine is going to be ok!
I didn't realize that method would give me a nice landscape image of the unbound cover - I'd mistakenly remembered that it gave only one page at a time for front and back.

Will apple solve the problem of slowing down of iPhone 4 running ios 7 in the next version of ios 7 or I should downgrade?

Well, I waited until I couldn't stand it anymore. Now I have this stupid dock that covers my entire home screen and I can't see anything on it. So, I can't open any apps or go to the Settings or anything. What can Apple be thinking? Who designed this - it is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life! And I'm not going to mention that it is still working exactly the way it is supposed to, and that it is really cool that I can now see my Lock Screen photo since the Slide to Unlock is invisible, and that closing open apps is so much quicker, and that the Weather app is most delightful, and that the album covers in front of my playlists and music are really cool, and that I'm beyond excited that I don't have to look at that irritating red update badge on my App Store anymore, and that all my videos are now in an album of their own. No, not going to do that.
Can I downgrade to iOS 3?

Question about iOS 6 Map Turn by Turn navigation !!!

Hi, anyone know why my arrow in turn by turn navigation arrow is grayed out like this ? I have tried to find a route at home using wifi and after that I went out with 3G on but the arrow was still gray. By the way, when I change the 3D button on/off I did not see anything change.

Thanks but that's not what I want to ask. According to those youtube demos about turn by turn navigation (TBTN) that people have been posted. Normally, when you create a route from point A to point B, you will have a blue arrow and show you the road in perspective of a 3D compass (3D button turned on). But for my case, I got a gray arrow and did not show any change in perspective even when i made a u turn. I've tried to be on blue track but the arrow is still in gray color. j2eesdk-1_4-windows comes with SJSAS PE 8.0 a fully J2EE 1.4 compatible app server. NetBeans 3.6 comes with Tomcat 5.0, an HTTP server and web container.

You should not have to uninstall WL as long as their are no port conflicts.

It doesn't actually say "backup". When I go to settings, iCloud in on that list. When I click on iCloud it has things I can turn off and on. So I'm assuming the ones that are on are backed up?
ON are: mail, contacts, calenders, reminders, find my phone.
The others are off.
But since I sync all my devices... phone, ipad, imac.... they all have my calender, contacts, reminders, mail.... so lets say my phone broke. I'd still have all that info on my other Apple devices correct? So when I went out to buy a new phone and I set it up to sync with my ipad and imac, wouldn't all that info (mail calendar etc) just load up on to my iphone?
I do have a lot of pictures on my iphone that are not on my computer. When they first had photo stream it somehow made my pix public somewhere? (either on my icloud I can't quite remember) I didn't want that so I turned it off.
If I plug my phone in and back up to iTunes that will back up all those pictures on my iphone, correct?

PS: Ok clearly I did not scroll down far enough in that icloud thing. Back up is turned off because there is more on my phone then I have for storage space on icloud. So I guess those other buttons are just for sync. I don't want to pay for more storage so I can just back the entire phone up to iTunes by plugging it in correct????

If you have a computer running iTunes, transfer all of your purchases into iTunes and backup the iPd so that all of your data is saved as well.

You can only use iCloud as well if you prefer to do that and if you don't have a computer, that is all that you can use. In the event that you would lose or delete an app, you can download them again for free in the purchased tab of the app store as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought them with.

Ok, just upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2.1 on an iPhone 3GS 32gb phone.
Did the safari preference for databases go away? I don't see it now.
The 421 specs say that new sounds were added for texts received, I don't see those.
Update: The database showed up after I used the Safari Bookmark of the iphone manual, but it should have already been there as the gmail link also uses that. Odd.

Yes, it does. If you do a search, you will see MANY postings regarding this. the new text message tones are ONLY for the iPhone4.

Basic questions about CISCO IOS

Hi everybody, Jack here,
I have some basic questions about the Cisco IOS, could someone help me addressing some of them please? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Basically, I have two IP addresses assigned by our Cable ISP. From what I understood you can configure a Cisco router for multiple IP addresses using the IOS, thereby allowing someone like myself to take advantage of having multiple IP addresses. This may seem unnecessary to some, but I've always wanted to put the 2nd IP address to use, since after all, I've been paying for it.
I was just wondering if someone could confirm that what I'm hoping to accomplish is indeed within the capability of the Cisco IOS (i.e. Fully utilize my 2 IP addresses). As well, if someone could kindly suggest a decent CISCO router for online gaming home use that would be super awesome!

Certainly using multiple IP addresses is in the capability of Cisco IOS routers. How they can be used depends on the relationship of the IP addresses. I am assuming that we are talking about IP addresses assigned for the user to use and that the IP address for the ISP connection is not one of these that we are talking about.
If both of the IP addresses that you have been assigned are within the same subnet then you would assign one of the addresses to the router interface to establish IP communication between the router and the ISP and to enable Internet connectivity for the devices inside your network that will use the router as their gateway to the Internet. The other address that is assigned can be used for address translation and in particular for static address translation which would make one of your devices inside to be reachable for connections initiated from the Internet (if that is something that you might want to do).
If the addresses that are assigned to you are in different subnets then you could assign one address to the outside router interface and assign the other address to the router inside interface. Or you could use the second address for address translation.
I do not have much expertise with online gaming, but I would think that either the Cisco 881 router or the 890 router might be appropriate for you. If 100 Mb connection is sufficient then probably the 881 would be the one to look at. If you need Gig connection then look at the 890.

General question about iTunes Match and multiple libraries

Hello to everyone,
I have a general question about the iTunes Match service, which is available since yesterday in my country (Italy). Currently my library situation is the following:
Computer A (desktop, Windows 7): "big" iTunes library (about 20 GB), at the moment not associated with my Apple ID
Computer B (MacBook Air 2011): "small" iTunes library (about 5 GB), associated with my Apple ID
At the moment, both my iOS devices (iPhone 4 and iPad 2) are synchronized with the smaller library on the MacBook Air.
Question is as follows: should I subscribe to iTunes Match, would it be possible to upload the "big" library (provided I associate it with my Apple ID) to iCloud while keeping my devices synchronized with the "small" one?
Ideally, at the end of the day, the situation should be the following: both iOS devices with music from the small library + possibility of downloading songs from iCloud (coming from the big one). Is this possible?
Maybe the question sounds stupid, but I want to be sure about this before paying for the service.

Yes, you could also associate your larger library with iTunes match if you associated your Apple ID with it. However any purchases in the library made from another Apple ID will not be matched with iTunes much.
If both libraries are part of iTunes match, then all your devices will see all of the content from both libraries, which content you choose to have on those devices and which you have accessible via iTunes match is entirely up to you.

First of all, GarageBand iOS allows for only one tempo and there is no Merge Song feature.
What you can do.
Switch between the songs and copy-paste the individual Tracks. You can also Merge Tracks if you run into the 8 Track limitation.
