HT1947 Remote Apps cannot display in landscape mode in iOS7
My ipad 4 cannot display the Remote App in landscape mode after upgraded to iOS7, also the response is very slow when choosing album, songs or Artist
Is there a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If there is, then depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (rotation lock or mute notifications), then you can lock/unlock the rotation by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. If there isn't a lock symbol then try a soft-reset (is that what you mean by restarting ?) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I updated to iOS 7 and now some of my apps won't display in landscape mode and they did before the update. Any ideas on how to fix it?
This could be from having restrictions enabled. Icons completely disappear when "restricted"

HP Pavilion h8-1360t, Windows7 home premium 64-bit, AMD Radeon HD 7570 graphics card.

I get the error message as soon as Windows opens and the desktop displays. Then it goes black with that message. I've been using the computer for awhile and I had it so that when I maximized a window it would go across both screens. I have two monitors on the graphics card. Somehow I changed the settings so that a program would maximize to one monitor or the other. That is how I want it to work. Maybe I activated HydraVision. Now I have the problem when I start.
Also now when I boot to Safe Mode I get the message that there is no AMD graphics driver installed, or it is not functioning properly. I have tried to update it and the computer tells me I have the most recent version installed. I would like to uninstall it and reinstall it, but I'm a little worried I won't get it installed and be without video. Something like that happened to me once before years ago.
Could someone tell me what I should do please?

In safe mode you should uninstall the driver, then try to boot normal again.
Then check if driver was installed by win7.
If not go go AMD website and download latest driver for your card.

I just installed OELINUX 4.7 , was seeing big display, went to system config and tried to monitor display, and rebooted the machine, now the display screen is stuck with message

I have a macbook pro and I am trying two hook up an older dell monitor with a VGA to display port adaptor, but all I get is "Cannot Display This Video Mode." I've tried changing the resolution but it doesn't seem to be working. any help would be appreciated.

HT1947 Remote app in iOS7 won't display in landscape mode
Title says it all - since I updated to iOS7 (which I really like), the Remote app stays in portrait mode no matter how I turn the iPad. Is it me or is this something other folks have run into?
Same here, Remote is the only app not rotating. Have tried everything I could imagine might fix it to no avail. Considering that the app icon hasn't been "sevened" my guess is someone missed the briefing or Apple doesn't understand how important this app is to some of us. There are already a few other threads on this, haven't yet found a solution in them.

Remote App cannot control Radio – Continuously displays loading message
Been having this problem for quite a while and no one on the internet seems to know how to fix it. Here are the exact steps:
1. Connect to Macbook Pro itunes from ipad 2 or iphone 4 using Remote App.
2. Connection is established and can control local library, volume, start, stop... etc..
3. Try to click on the "Radio" tab in the side bar... right panel displays "Loading..." messaging.
4. iTunes on Macbook Pro appears to refresh the listing of radio stations and they are displayed within itunes
5. iPad or iPhone remote app continues to display the "Loading..." graphic and never actually loads the radio station listing
Result:
Radio cannot be controlled remotely by the remote app.
Additional notes:
If you start a radio station from the iTunes app from the computer itself, you can then stop and start it from remote, but you can never control the listing/look for other radio stations, etc.
Is anyone else having this problem? Seems like a huge bug and I'm curious if anyone has found a solution.

Have Remote App on iPhone 4S to control Apple TV (ver3) which it does fine regarding playlists on iTunes (on Win PC), but doesn't regarding iTunes Radio. Curiously, Apple TV has an iTunes Radio app within it's menu, but it can only be controlled (apparently) with the Apple TV remote (not the iPhone Remote App), AND you'll need Apple TV connected to a TV monitor to see what's happening...you can't see it from the Remote App on the iPhone. I've digressed a bit, sorry. What I noticed on the Remote App is when you click on your iTunes library and then click on the "More" option (bottom right) it actually has a listing for Radio. If you click on Radio the genre list comes up then you can select a station. The problem is that the station never plays.
In another problem post someone suggested creating an iTunes Radio playlist within your iTunes library and then dragging individual radio stations to it, just like you would any other music. When I tried that, the Remote App can "see" this playlist through your library, but similar to the above, the station never plays once you select it. Note: The other post suggests that this allows the Remote App to play your radio stations, but I never got it to work.
So, like all above, I'm stuck as well. Very strange that the Remote App can "see" the Radio stations via my two methods above, but is not able to make them "play". -

'Remote' app requirements are stated as "software version 3.1.3 or later". I am running 4.2.1 and when I try to download it says 4.3 required.
OK, I understand that new versions make use of facilities that come with new versions of IOS, but there is/was a version that runs on 3.1.3 and therefore, I assume 4.2.1. Where can I get the (old) version that runs on my IOS?

This is standard for Apple. While there is little official mention of the software support lifespan for equipment, typical support has been about 4-5 years for computers. It strikes me that newer items, especially mobile devices, are not built as sturdily nor do they have the hardware upgrade capabilities required to keep up with newer systems. When we bought an iPhone 4S we were told by the person in the store we'd probably be looking at a newer model in two years. The iPhone 3G could be anywhere from 2 to 4 years old, putting it well into.
As for app availability, Apple typically pulls old software versions from its site when new versions appear. If it is a non-Apple app then I guess it is up to the vendor. It is indeed tiresome but it is not at all unusual. Since I only ever run used Macs, I download current versions even though my computer won't run them, stick them on a hard drive, then I have them when I upgrade to a newer used computer. If you run older equipment you have to learn a different mode of operation to exist with the Apple 'new and innovative' but 'forget about the old' philosophy. -
IPad 2 now only displays in landscape mode.
My iPad 2 now only displays in one landscape mode. It won't change the screen when I rotate the iPad. Is this an iOS6 glitch?
The button right above the volume button (slide) can be for quickly silencing your iPad or for locking the screen quickly. You can choose whichever one you want through the settings, and you can also manually lock/unlock the screen in the settings.

Different song displayed in landscape mode?
Since upgrading iphone 5 to iOS7 the current song is only displayed in portrait. When I turn the phone to landscape, a completely different song displays, though the current song keeps playing. I have to turn the phone back to operate any controls. Can't believe this is intentional? Is there a cure?
Thanks.I hope everybody on all the related threads writes to Apple (http://www.apple.com/feedback/) to point out that it's downright *DANGEROUS* that the only way to skip songs while driving is to reach over and dismount our iPhones so we can turn them to profile view—instead of just a quick tap of the >> button in landscape mode.

HT1947 Remote App and the use of the local speakers
I use the Remote app from my iPad to connect to my iMac's iTunes library. I then have the option to broadcast that music to 1) an Apple Air Port in my basement, 2) an AppleTV in my living room, and/or 3) the iMac computer speakers (or connected audio devices). There are many occasions where I would also like to broadcast the same audio from my iPad itself. Why aren't the iPad speakers available as an option? Can this be added in a future update of the app?

The itunes account n my iPhone and computer are different, can I still use the remote app on my phone for my Apple TV?
I think I found the reason. On my iMac that is hosting the music library a song already was playing. This seems to block out me from selecting another song though my Apple TV.
