HT1975 bought itouch and device wasnt deleted from their icloud account but i made a new one, does the ipod location still show on their icloud account?
i bought it from some girl and she still had all her information in it, so im assuming she hasnt taking it off her icloud account, i signed in on mine but i was wondering if she could still locate it or remote lock or wipe from her account if i have added it to mine?
If you erased the iPod (restored to factory settings/new iPod) that will erase the ability for her to find it and do anything with it.
You should do that since the media did not transfer with the hardware.

I bought a new, larger external hard drive. I have my iTunes library on the external drive instead of C: drive, Using Windows 7.
I copied my itunes library from the old drive to the new one, changed the libarary location in Edit/Preferences/Advanced to the new drive.
iTunes will not start or run unless the old hard drive is plugged in.
If I disconnect the old drive iTunes shuts down.

Thank you for providing so much information about what is going on. It sounds like you have setup iTunes to save new content to your new external hard drive in iTunes>Preferences, but it sounds like iTunes is not opening iTunes Library.itl file on the new external drive. You have one last step to take to have iTunes point to your new external hard drive rather than your old one:
Steps to create or choose a different iTunes Library file
If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
You should see the following screen:
Additional information
If you do not see the screen above, then you did not hold the correct key at the correct time. You may want to try again. Note that if you pinned iTunes to the Start menu programs, and open it that way, it may not work.
Once you select "Choose Library," you will need to navigate to the iTunes Library.itl file on your new external drive.

ITunes deleted from old computer - need to sync mini with new one
My old Windows computer is where is used to sync my iPod Mini with all my saved music but itunes was deleted there. Now I want to sync with a different Windows computer with iTunes on it that has some songs that are not on my ipod. Is there a way to do this without losing all the content on my mini and not using the old computer, since nothing is there anymore? I want to be able to also "clean up" my mini by putting some music from it on the new computer and deleting some things that I don't want on it anymore.
All help is greatly appreciated!If your iPod is set to sync automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library when you connect and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in the Summary tab:

Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. The audio books I purchase are from Audible - I listen largely because my eyesight is going and I've been an avid reader. I'd like to keep the books on the iPod and not the computer to save space on the computer. Is this even possible?
Yes, though not advisable for content that you may not be able to redownload on demand. I'm not sure what Audible's policy, but with iTunes there is only one download.
You can either place the device in manually managed mode, in which case content you delete from the library won't be automatically removed from the device, or delete the files from Windows Explorer while keeping the entries for the same in the iTunes library. With the second approach iTunes will warn that it cannot find the files to sync (you can disable the warning) but it won't remove them, and you retain the advantage of being able to automatically sync other content.

I have already copied over from the old hard drive to the new hard drive the iTunes media folder (423 GB). But this does not contain the iTunes Library .itl file which for good or bad reason has been working from the mac itself from inside the user music folder. In iTunes Preferences, Adanced Preferences window the iTunes media fold location is currently set to the ITunes Media folder on the old hard drive. How and why i set it up like this all that time ago is forgotten! Do i simply browse for a new location for the newly created duplicaye file? My worry is that i will end up with every song listed twice in iTunes, or worse manage to wipe the content like a mate did!
Okay, solved. Simple really, just moved the media folder location and there was no duplication. Phew!

If I delete my account from apple, I be able to create a new one with the same address?
Here is the thing, currently I have an id of apple with my gmail account, which I associated the iCloud account. I would like to delete my account to create a new from the iphone, so it is "iCloud" as my primary address. I want my apple ID is "[email protected]" not "[email protected]".
ThanksUnfortunately, you can't. The primary address for your iCloud account must be a non-Apple email account. The only exception to this is for former MobileMe subscribers who migrated to iCloud when MobileMe closed, which was 18 months ago.

Can I Delete my first IPhoto library after I made a new one
Some of my photos were missing (had a dotted square around the thumbnails and a exclaimation on the actual pic) so i followed someone elses suggestion to make a new library which i did and everything is back to normal but i have two questions and I dont want to ruin it

I really need help this has happend 5 hours ago and the ipod os still showing the apple logo and the buffering icon below it!

Need help fast!- I suspect that he went to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. For 1G or 2G iPod that can take hours and it will likely stall out if not connected to a charging source.
Try the following:
- A reset.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- The connect to computer and try to restore via iTunes.
- Id something is still showing onthe screen, disconnect from computer/charging source and let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour, Try the reset and restore.
- If you can turn the iPod off, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovey mode:

I bought a new computer and I cannot transfer my library to this new one. The message says that I'm not allowed to sync with two computers??? How can I delete the previous one from my account???
You cannot transfer from the iPhone to the computer.
You must move the contents of your old computer to the new one directly.
Use an external hard drive perhaps or restore your old computer backup to your new computer.
The iPhone is not the source of your data, that is the computer, the iPhone is only a slave device to iTunes. -
Why are my emails not deleting from all devices when deleted from one? I have iCloud mail set up and turned on. I have ipad2, iPhone 5 and a Mac desktop. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
It depends on the type of email account you are using, not on iCloud. If you are using an IMAP or exchange account, when you delete from one device, it is deleted from all devices. If you are using a POP (POP3) account, it won't. (iCloud email, Gmail and Yahoo are all IMAP accounts.)

You don't really sync photos from the devices to the Mac, you import them to an app; iPhoto, Aperture or Image Capture. During that process you are given an option to erase the photos from the device. Is this not the manner that you used? -
I am running OS10.6.8 and have a mail box duplication. I use gmail and when I open my mail I have both the Apple Mail and another set of boxes for Gmail. Both get all mail and when I delete from one, it deletes from the other. How can I get rid of the dup

According to your descriptioin, I don't think this is system problem, it should be Intel driver problem. It would be contact Intel to confirm this issue whether this is their driver problem.

Old laptop died, got latest itunes on new laptop and recovered all music from external hard drive but ipad2 not being recognised as a device when plugged in so can't sync? Do i reset my ipad2?!!!! Its only taken 7 months to get to this point.
