HT1975 Facebook photos

I go under my facebook account and try to add a picture...it tells me This app does not have access to your photos or videos for me to enable acces in Privacy Settings. I Can't seem to figure out how to do this. Please someone tell me step by step on how to do this

when you tried to save did facebook ask you permission to access to the camera roll?
if not close and open facebook and try to save a picture and see if it pops with the question.
if it doesn't, goto settings>privacy>photos and see if facebook is added there,
if it's added and not enabled, enable it.
if everything mentioned above fails, do a reset by holding the power and home button until the apple logo appears ignoring the slide the switch off and try again to save it

I Start a New am so frustrated with problems syncing photos on my iPad. I choose which files to sync but get deleted photos in my albums, my photos are in the wrong albums and the weirdest of all- I now have strange graphics and Facebook photos in albums!

I have spent several hours trying to find a solution to the following problems. After syncing my IPad with ITunes, I end up with photos that I previously deleted in my albums, duplicate photos, albums that have wrong pictures in them and weirdest of all, strange graphics and Facebook photos that are not even mine. Right now I hate this thing!
I have scanned the support forums, Googled it, deleted several photo caches, spent days editing my photo files, checked the specific folders I wanted to sync and it seems like it's not syncing, just adding the same photos and strange crap that it already had on it. Oh please help me!

OK....I'm stumped. The message you are seeing is typically there to protect someone from syncing with a different computer/iTunes account. Is there any way anyone else has used your iPad and possibly connected it to their computer?

This sounds more like a Windows question, than a Firefox question. When you say that an image shows up every time you open your computer, do you mean every time you turn on your computer, or every time you start Firefox?

How can I sync the Mac contacts app with my friends Facebook photos?

I have an iPhone 5 and and iPad so I'm not to new to Apple products, however i did just get my first MacBook (I'm in love!) I have a question, is it possible to sync the Mac Contacts app with Facebook so that my friends Facebook photos will show up in the Mac Contacts app like they do on my iPhone or iPad? When I use iMessage on my Mac I would like my friends FB picture to pop up, would someone mind to walk me through this process?

If calendar events are not syncing from the iPhone to iCal on your mac, try Resetting the Sync History as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA23030
Then enable calendar syncing in iTunes and choose the Merge option on the initial sync.

Can I set "use facebook photo" for contacts by default?

When I edit a contact's photo, I can choose "use facebook photo" from the available options if there is a facebook profile linked to the contact. Is there a way to do this across ALL contacts, without having to edit each of my 300 contacts individually?
The issue I'm having is that old facebook photos from contacts added in iOS 5 are not updating anymore because the old photo stays as the contact's primary photo from the last time it was synced prior to facebook integration.

After i update to version firefox 34.0.5 on my window 8.1, i can't upload facebook photo.
No problem on IE, Opera and Google Chrome.
I already update with latest Java and tested ok in Firefox.
Anyone can help me?

any Ideas on how to have photos from a facebook album display on a Muse developed site>? I've try galleria plug-ins and I can't get it to show.

You can use plugins, custom codes to embed FB gallery in your site pages.

I don't know for sure that you get access to the user's photo album, but think you can by using the Facebook Graph API. Here's more information about that:

Facebook photo order

Since upgrading to Photos I have discovered that when I upload multiple photos to a Facebook album they are out of order. Not only that, but when I try to rearrange them in Facebook, it will not allow any of them to be moved around. This is the case when using both the Edit and Tag functions. When I drag a photo from this newly created album it snaps back to its original spot. When I open an older album in Facebook, created with iPhoto, I can rearrange the photos without any problem. Any workarounds for this problem?

I understand and am aware of the compressing that occurs when facebook uploads picture files (and many other types of files). I understand, and am aware of, the amount of image data that is lost as well.
I was, however, unaware of the process by which iphoto sends files "several at a time"
I was also unaware of the stripping of metadata that takes place during a facebook photo upload.
The method by which iphoto sends photos and facebook's stripping of metadata are certainly both contributing factors to the unorganized nature of iphoto facebook uploads.
I do care about my photos. Which is why they are stored in full, original quality on my hard drive. That is also why the full, original files are backed up regularly. I do not rely on facebook for photo storage. In fact, file compression was never my complaint; with respect to diminished image quality. I simply upload pictures to facebook to share them with friends and family.
It is a shame facebook seems not to respect the photos of its users. I understand file compression. I can not blame facebook for wanting to save space. But basic metadata (date/time) should be left alone. I will write to facebook.

IPhoto Sharing Retags Facebook Photos

I am having a strange issue. Whenever I "log into" a shared iPhoto on our iMac from my portable. It RETAGS a bunch of my Facebook photos from two years ago on Facebook! It's driving me crazy! I like to transfer photos from our iMac to my portable by using the shared library option, but it retags the photos everytime! So now I have to transfer via USB drive. Anybody have any idea why it's doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks librarygal, that does work. I am guessing it now is an issues between the Facebook app & iPhotos on the IPad. It used to work but i guess nothing ever stays the same:-(

Safari crashes when trying to use facebook photo upload

I have been using facebook photo upload from Iphoto with out any problems. Tonight I tried it and it shuts down safari happened a couple of times but it corrupted my whole photo library and now Iphoto shows the measage that it is totally corupted and unusable. Any one got any ideas to get it working and to recover photos

Please post your iPhoto question in the iPhoto forum. There are ways to recover, I think, but I am not an iPhoto "expert." Photos are precious and I think you will get the best guidance for possible recovery in the iPhoto forum. There are some real experts there.

Facebook photo upload album list not refreshing

I have a N8 with the latest firmware and software.
When using Nokia Social/Facebook app to upload images, the album list dropdown does not list all my facebook photo albums. I do not want to upload all my imgaes to the same/default "mobile uploads" folder. I have tried restarting, refreshing etc, but still only get one or two albums listed - and not the same two every time.
Anyone have/had the same issue?

I found a fix!!
Try deleting the app. Then on the iPhone go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website data > scroll to the bottom and tap 'Remove all website data'. Now re-download the Facebook app and see if it works.

OMG, I totally did not see the edit button at the top right corner of the Albums window/page.
Selecting that, then selecting the album BIKE brought up the RED button to the left of the album and ta-da, delete.
Sometimes I seek so hard I do not see.

It's not the router.
I have several pre-Intel Macs with 10.4.11 and most were fairly fast machines in their day. We also have 50MBps cable internet. All our G-series Macs are "dial-up sluggish" with anything on the web regardless of browser, yet running a download speed test shows they a connecting at a fast rate.
Watch the browser status bar during page loads--I think there is a clue there. All the bacjground ad sharing and tracking stuff---google analytics is a heavy hitter--are apparently not optimized for the G-series and much of what you are waiting on is that type of third-party dreck phoning home. You can't fix it--web developers embed this stuff. Money, ya know!
The browser TenFour Fox tend to stall less than Safari or FireFox on the older Macs. It somehow tricks websites to seeing it as an Intel Mac version of FireFox. Still not blazing fast but a big improvment.
