What happens to iTunes credit when you use family sharing.

Making purchases
After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer. As the family organizer, any receipts generated by the transaction will be sent to you. Learn more about how iTunes Store purchases are billed.

You can either spend it you can try contacting iTunes support and ask them if they can remove them balance from your account (you can't change countries when you have a balance) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • HT202631 How can I use my iTunes credit when part of Family Sharing?

I'm part of my Family Sharing with my family, but now can't use my iTunes credit that's on my account to make purchases. How do I change that?

    Hi harifromshakopee,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you want to know how purchases are billed. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
How iTunes Store purchases are billed - Apple Support
How are Family Sharing purchases billed?
When you initiate a new purchase, it will be billed directly to the family organizer's account, unless you have gift or store credit. First, your store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer. iTunes Store credit on your account isn't shared with other family members. So if the family organizer has a $50 credit on their account and another family member initiates a purchase, it won't deduct from the organizer's iTunes Store credit, but will bill the organizer's credit or debit card.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Can I use iTunes Match while also using Family Sharing?

I just started the process of setting up Family Sharing tonight. I've added 4 family members, but when attempting to activate iTunes Match, it is prompting me to subscribe on the child accounts. I enjoyed having access to iTunes Match from all our family devices when sharing an iTunes account, and I don't see the benefit of using Family Sharing if I can't continue to share my music library with the entire family. Anyone have any info on this?
    Thanks!

I do not have a solution, but here is Apple's FAQ on it ... See my note in this post...

  • What happens to the conversation when you delete or move a message?

I've always been a bit unclear what happens to other message in a thread/conversation when you delete or move the current message you are reading.
Therre are 3 relevant view settings it seems:
    Organize by conversation (turned on).
Display selected message only (not selected - why would one want to select this if organizing by conversation? Is there a use for that?)
Show/Hide related messages (turned on so I can see replies I sent in the conversation).
If I want to move the current message I'm reading, it seems to move the entire conversation to the target folder. But that's not what I want to do.
Yet if I delete the current message I think it only deletes that one message.
I'm a bit confused about how to think of this. Sometimes I see messages show up under "related messages" that are a year old that I thought I long deleted.
Any easy way of thinking about how this is all working?
    Thanks,
    doug

  • What happens to additional lines when you don't renew contract?

My contract is nearly up, and I will not be renewing.  I am purchasing a home and will be going to a pre paid stupid phone.  I have two other lines on my account.  The second one is my gfs and hers expires a month after mine.  The third one is my parents (basic phone) and it doesnt expire till 2015.
Since it's my account, if I close it after my gfs contract expires...what happens to the third line?  Right now with sharing my minutes it only costs me $17 a month for it.  I can only imagine that when it's all by itself that cost would rise considerably.

Well if your out of contract and leave, the second line would become the primary. If your girl friend leaves after you then the third line on your account becomes primary. Now the cost of a basic phone is cheaper than a smart phone. However the individual plan for a basic phone I have no idea. Just call *611 and ask what a one line basic phone rate would be or look it up at the http://www.verizonwireless.com portal.
Your parent could do an assumption of liability for that line to take it off your hands. Again ask your parent if that is what you and them want to do.
Now if you just take the basic phone away, under the termination fee its $175 with $5 off each month until the 24 months are up. The balance you would have to pay.
    Good Luck

  • Can anyone tell me what happens to an iphone when you actually fill it up to full ?

A friend of mine is blind and therefore never sees the 'nearly full' message on her iphone (iphone 4S, latest iOS, I think 7.1.1) as it fills up.
We see lots of odd behaviours from her phone and I'm trying to work out if its caused by the phone being full ?
For example, I'd expect the iphone to STOP:
    - Recieving iMessages
    - Apps wouldn't be able to store data (eg Skype, Whatsapp might not work)
But, would it lead to potential corruption?  For example I see these happening:
    - Some imessages get through from some friends, but not from me. It looks like a block is in play, but I'm able to call my friend.
    - Calls coming in are one-way audio (I wouldn't expect a full iphone to cause this)
    - Skype isn't updating, it doesn't seem to recieve or send messages/videos.
What other things would happen ?

    Thanks Rudegar,
Yes I'd expect that. But I'm concerned with what I keep seeing happen on my friends phone.  Apps seem to corrupt and stop running.  SMS's apparently make it to the device (according to the operator), but they're not displayed.  Replies to me seem to come from her email_imessage address rather than her phone_imessage address and when I reply it doesn't deliver (meaning that neither SMS nor imessage appear to work), but only with me, it works with others.
If as I suspect, the SMS database is corrupted, then I'm also wondering if the backups of the iphone in iCloud and PC are also corrupted (or does the backup process filter out likely corruption).
I would have thought that iOS would protect applications from this somehow, but I can't see how - a full iPhone is a full iPhone right.. no way to stop data corruption.

  • What happens to Muse site when you end subscription to Creative Cloud?

What will happen if i leave Creative Cloud/ Muse? Does the site die? Will the client still have editing capabilities?

    Hi Andrea,
If you have hosted the site on BC against the 5 free sites you get with cloud subscription, the site will expire once the cloud subscription has expired. If you have not hosted the site on BC or not against the free sites you get with cloud subscription, then nothing will happen to the site. It will be go as per its billing cycle.

  • What happens to an email when you click "Send Later?" I can't find it anywhere.

I pulled an email from the "Sent" folder and hit "forward." I modified the email at length and then decided not to sent it yet. I right clicked and chose "Send later." The email disappeared totally. I can't find it anywhere -- not in any folder. Where can it be? How can I retrieve it?

It goes to the Outbox. You will find the Outbox under local folders.

  • HT2589 what is a security code when you are registering at the iTunes after you have put in your credit number

What is the security code when you are registering in the iTunes Store just after you have put in your credit card number?

It's the 3 or 4 digit code that is on the credit card, it's on the front of some cards, or others it's on the signature strip on the back : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3541

  • What happens to my music when I unsubscribe from iTunes Match?

What happens to my music when I unsubscribe from iTunes Match? Can I still access it and iTunes just stops matching new songs I add or is the whole thing not accessible anymore to download or play?

iTunes 7 will convert your existing library, but iTunes 6 and earlier will not recognize the new library format.

  • What happened to the "lock" symbol that used to appear when on a secure site? I haven't seen it since the last update, so it's either moved or you took it out. I really miss it!

What happened to the "lock" symbol that used to appear to signify that you were on a secure site? I haven't seen it since the previous update, so it's either moved & I haven't found it, or you took it out. If you did, I want it back!

It's stuck on a yellow question marked "multimedia audio controller." It doesn't like the CD drivers or the drivers snarfed from the aborted "you don't have an sb controller installed" pull from windows\temp\CF whatever it was. It's 3am and I've been trying to get this stupid thing running for 7 hours now. I'm going to bed. I will see if it is any smarter tomorrow morning.
It was running great until I did an "update from the web." If I hadn't have done that I'd have no complaints. Now it's hosed and I can't even get back to where I was before. I'm not impressed with creative's installation procedure.
However, there are many people complaining about the "you don't have an SB installed" problem. Creative needs a "delete everything" button, and an "install all new drivers" button. Take a page out of ATI's book in the number of headaches created by windows installer and come up with a way to fix them yourself. ATI did. This would at least get me back to the BSOD, which right now I'm longing for.
This is on a shuttle st6g4 with a disable ac97 sound nonsense with those drivers removed.
