HT201077 Photo Stream won't go to computer

My Photo Stream on my phone has pictures in it.
How do I get these pictures to iCloud and into my computer?
It used to happen automatically, but doesn't anymore...
I have spent hours online but haven't found the solution...Thanks

I'm having the same issue.  Tried re-installing iCloud so it updated to the new iCloud Photos folder (with My Photostream folder embedded within it), and no automatic downloading.  Our photos sit on our iPhones.
Is this a new known issue and when will there be a fix for it?  Or is there a workaround?
Thanks!

  • HT201077 Photo Stream website not showing on Windows Computer

I was able to set up a photo stream and make it a public website, but I can't see it on a Windows Computer.  It only hangs while it is trying to load.  I am able to view the website from an Mac.  Any ideas why it isn't working from a Windows computer?

First check the my photo stream album on your phone to confirm that the photos appear there.  If they don't, the issue is with your phone not adding them to photo stream.  If the do, some things you can try on your PC are listed below.  After each one, try adding a new photo on your phone, then see if it appears on your PC after a brief delay.
Going to control panel>programs>programs and features, right-click on "iCloud" on the programs list and choose Repair.
Do the same thing except this time choose Delete, then reinstall the iCloud control panel for Windows from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455 (or here if you're running Vista: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1687).
Make sure you didn't change the default location to save the photo stream photos on your PC.  If you did, sign out on the iCloud control panel, then sign back in and enable photo stream without changing the defaults.

  • Photo stream won't connect to my computer

My computer is partitioned and photo stream works on one side of the partition but not on the other. I disconnected the photo stream on the side that was working, thinking that would help.....but no. Any ideas?

Do NOT Threadjack. Start your own topic please. Help you get in your topic may help others when searching for like topics (your post could be lost in a unrelated topic). If you do not know how to start your own thread...
In order to see the post link, you need to drill down to the subtopic level of a discussion area. If you see a list of subtopics, you are not down far enough.
For example, from the main discussion menu, you can choose Classic iPod and you will see the following...
Note that in the Classic discussion there are three sub-topics you can choose and NO post link yet. Now pick any sub-topic, for example, pick "Using iPod Classic" and you will get the following...
Now you have a link to post a new topic.

  • HT4623 photo stream not uploading to windows computer

iO6, photo stream not uploading (via iCloud) from my iPhone 5 to Windows computer.  All setting seem to be set to on.

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

  • HT201317 I just recently switched back to my iPhone 5 c and I had all my photos on my photo stream but once I transferred photos from an old phone to thoe 5 c my photo stream won't download all my pictures what should I do?

I just want to know how I can have all my photos back on my phone

When photos are added to the photo stream album on a device (either due to a new photo having been taken or having been synced from another device using the stream) they remain in the album.  However, the syncing process involves copying the photos to the photo stream server where they are kept for a maximum of 30 days, up to 1000 photos.  If a device is reset or the stream is turned off or turned back on again (or in your case, the device was repaired), the photos that were on the device's photo stream album are gone and the only ones to appear are those that are currently on the servers (recall the 30 day limit).
If some of your photos are older than 30 days, then they are no longer stored on the cloud and hence are not synced down to the iphone.
Recall, photo stream is just a syncing service, it is not designed as a storage service for photos.  Always sync photos to a computer for archiving.

  • Photo stream won't update after 1000 photos

I have reached 1000 photos in my photo stream.  I took more photos on my phone, but it won't update with the latest photos, moving out the oldest.  Help!
    Thanks, Jim C

Ok, it did update with the new photos.  Don't know what the hold up was. . . .

  • My Photo Stream not going to my computer -but shared streams do.

I think this started when I updated to the newest version of iCloud panel for windows -version 4.0.2- because I had pictures from less than 2 weeks ago in the stream folder on my computer before I did the update.  What I'm seeing is, on my computer (windows 8.1) I have all the photo streams with pictures that have been shared with me, including one I created today to test it out.  Nothing is in the 'My Photo Stream" folder.  The folder exists, it's just empty.
    empty on my computer-
    on my phone:
Here is what I have tried-
Signed in and out of iCloud panel on my computer and restarted computer
Turned on and off Photos in the iCloud panel and restarted computer
Turned on and off My Photo Stream in settings and rebooted the phone
Photo Stream has been spotty at best for the last year or more- but was working not that long ago.
I realize that a 'work around' would be to create a shared stream with myself and copy the pictures I want to get to my computer into it.  However, I shouldn't have to.  It is supposed to work automatically...
I don't see any answers to this anywhere, so if someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it!  Thank you!

  • IPhoto photo stream won't work

Since iPhoto was updated in December, my iphoto library somehow became corrupted, crashed and wouldn't open. I've had lots of attempts at trying to find out what was wrong as this only affected the iphoto on my macbook pro.  My ipad & iphone are both working fine.  Eventually, after several attempts at trashing the library, rebuilding databases, repairing permissions etc, I eventually gave up and extracted all the original photos from the files and saved them in a separate file.  I then trashed the iphoto library altogether and also the software and left it for a while.  Then I installed my iphoto library from a saved backup file from last year before I had a problem and also installed a fresh copy of the software from the App store.  This is now working but I still can't get the iphoto stream to work in icloud.  I can switch the photo stream on and off in system preferences but in the iphoto preferences the tick box just won't stay ticked!!  So I still can't stream my photos - most of which I take with my iphone and really miss the feature of having syncronized photos on all my devices.
I'm really pulling my hair out on this one and am at my wits end!! I really don't know where to go from here & have tried just about everything.  It's very nice having Iphoto displaying all my photos, but they're all now old and I want it to display all my new photos too.  Please can someone out there help me?? I'd be so grateful to get this wretched problem sorted.  Thank you very much!!

    Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
    User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

  • HT201077 Photo stream from IPhone to IPad

I have iCloud open on both my IPad and my IPhone and sent my photos via Photo Stream to my IPad. t has been grinding away and "loading" for over an hour with poor resolution on the IPad side. When I  open a photo, the "loading" wheel keeps grinding. I can't delete the "loading" photos and start over. Our WiFi system is quite slow because we live in a rural area.

Probably the only way to stop it would be to turn photo stream off in Settings>iCloud on your iPad.  This will delete all photos in your photo stream album if you do.
If you have poor internet speed in your area, photo stream might not be the best solution for you.  You can also import photos to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then sync them to your other devices from the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings.  You could also use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your other devices using your wifi (without going over the internet).

  • HT201317 Photo stream won't sync all photos that I add to it

I recently downloaded iPhoto to my Mac so that I could easily get all of my pictures from my photo stream onto my computer.
In the default stream I have 558 photos. iPhoto will only sync about 400 of them. So I decided to create a shared photo stream and added all of the images from the main one into that one. However it will not add them to the stream at all.
It initially added them all, but as it syncs the number of photos in that stream keeps going down. It is down to about 200 at the time of writing this and it is still steadily deleting the photos.
Why will my photo stream not sync properly?

That's she way it works. See here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4486
    Relevant section:
When do photos upload to My Photo Stream?
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 or later (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.1 to 2.1.3). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

  • HT1349 HOw do I view my photo stream on my Windows XP computer?

I am unable to view my photo stream from my IPhone on my computer.  Photo stream is working on Iphone fine.

You can't sign into iCloud using Windows XP.  It currently requires Windows 7 or 8.  You'll have to access your data on icloud.com using your browser.
You can add your iCloud email account to the email client on your computer by using these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864, but that's about it.

  • Photo Stream won't update onto PC

My photo stream file on my PC's hasn't updated since Oct 2013.  I can't figure out why it's not automatically updating from the cloud like it's supposed to.  I've checked the settings on my Iphone and Ipad, but everything seems to be as it should be... just not doing it.  Help!

I have exactly the same issue. I logged out from the account, this deleted all my photos from my PC including other streams. After logging in again, all the streams are downloaded again bit the photostream. It seems to be a windows issue because the stream from my iPhone syncronises well with my iPad.
The described action i took after the installation of the newest iCloud driver version 4.0.2
It is very strage that only the main photo stream is affected.
Windows 8.1 with iCloud 4.0.2, iPhone 6plus, iPad 3rd generation all with iOS 8.1.2
