HT201077 trouble inviting to view photo stream

Hello,
I set up a Shared Photo Stream album but a new iPhone 5 user from my contacts does not appear as a valid option?

Do your have their email address in your contacts?  If not, you can't select them as a subscriber.

  • HT201077 how do i send out a new invitation to my photo stream?

I'm trying to invite other contacts to my photo stream but I'm not the owner of the stream. How can I do it or do I need to owner to send the invitation and how would he send out the new invitations?

Only the owner of the shared stream can invite people to subscribe to it.

  • Trouble accepting invitation to a photo stream on iCloud for PC

My father used to have an iPhone so he has a valid Apple ID already. He still wants to be able to be a part of the photo streams my family is creating and showing nowadays. We downloaded iCloud Control Panel for his Windows 8 laptop and all of the photo streams he was previously subscribed to show up. However, when I sent him an invite to the newest photo stream we can't figure out how to join it. When we click the "subscribe" button in the email he receives it pulls up a new page that says "To subscribe to...photo stream on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, open your invitation in the Mail app, and click the Subscribe button in the message.", nothing about how to subscribe on PC. We could really use some help! We need to know how to subscribe to a photo stream on iCloud for a Windows 8 PC.
    Thanks!

A video cannot be saved from within a shared stream.

  • HT201077 If you are seeing the message "Photo Stream is not enabled. Sign into iCloud to view Photo Stream," and you have already signed in, apply your settings to enable Photo Stream.

I have done everything that the Apple manual suggets to insure that I can transfer photos from my IPHONE to my Windows Desktop via ICLOUD. For some reason it still says that my ICLOUD (on my desktop) is not enabled!
    Can anyone help...please!
    Thank you!
    Ellen

First make sure iCloud and Photo Stream are installed on your PC. Connect the iPad (or iPhone) to your PC with the USB cable and start iTunes on your PC. Once your iPad/iPhone shows up under "Devices" in the sidebar (which you may have to enable), click it. Then click "Photos" at the top of the iTunes screen on your PC. Check the "Sync Photos from" box, and then under that, click "Selected folders." (Ignore the pulldown menu to the right of "Sync Photos from" -- the important thing is to tick "Selected folders.")  A pane should open up below that with a list of folders including "Photo Stream." Choose that and then at the bottom of the screen click Sync. This worked for my Windows 7 box.

  • Inviting people to photo stream?

    Hi,
has anyone here invited people to a photo stream from inside Aperture? I have tried it multiple times form different devices but I keep getting an error message. The invitation email gets sent out but after clicking on the "join photo stream" link, it says "An error occurred, please try again later." I'm trying for months now but I think iCloud is broken.
I've tried all the usual trouble shooting. Any help appreciated.

  • HT201077 Can't join shared photo stream

I have Windows 7 and I got an e-mail with a link to join a shared photo stream.
I've asked the person if he can just e-mail me the pictures, but he says he doesn't know how, so it looks like I have to deal with all this stuff. So...
I created an apple ID. I installed iCloud Control Panel 2.1. I checked the box in iCloud CP next to Photo Stream (and also both boxes in the Photo Stream options). I signed in to iCloud with my Apple ID. I've closed things and restarted my computer and tried eveything else I can think of, but still when I click on the "Join this Photo Stream" link in the e-mail I just get taken to the page that tells me how to set things up.
So what am I doing wrong? Do I need to have iTunes or some specific photo viewer installed or something too? I don't see anywhere that it says I do, but I can't get it working the way it is.

I was never able to resolve this problem and like abridge1, there was no shared photo streams in Windows Explorer, just My Photo Stream.
I've since uninstalled iCloud Control Panel, so I can't test the theory out, but I wonder if the problem was that the invitiation to join the photo stream was sent before I had created an Apple ID and/or installed iCloud Control Panel. Maybe if the invitation was sent again it would have worked.
Instead I asked the person who made the photo stream to recreate it but this time check the box that gives you a URL so that anyone can access the pictures without any special software. Much easier.

  • My friend sent me an invite for shared photo stream. I've done all the requirement upgrades but everytime i clink on the invite it sends me to the requirements page. Any ideas?

My friend sent me an invite to join a shared photo stream. When I clink on the invite it opens up a page that tells me the steps to ensure I have all the requirements for photo stream. I've triple checked and I do. But it is the same response every time I clink on the invite. Any ideas as to what I"m doing wrong?

It's a fresh install so give the software a try from the Vista area and let us know what works:
This is the Vista 64 bit page so it would be a better chance of working:

  • Viewing Photo Stream on Mac

Can I view the photos within my photo stream on my MacBook Air? Or does iCloud only serve as a medium for saving the photos?

If you have OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher, and either iPhoto 9.2 or higher or Aperture 3.2 or higher you can.  This explains how to set this up: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.

  • How can I view photo stream pictures on my pc?

My photo stream folder on my pc isn't syncing with my iphone. I took it to the Apple store and they told me I had logged into icloud incorrectly and they fixed the issue for me and my photo stream worked well for one day and now I can't sync photos with my pc again. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

TouchCopy is frequently recommended for archiving SMSs. Much easier to view them through software like that than by messing around in the backup files (not for the faint of heart).

  • HT201077 Shared picture in my photo stream?

I accept an invitation to view shared pictures from someone.  I just found out I have my picture shared evey since I got the Iphone 5 I don't want her to view my pictures.  Was she able to see my pictures before. Now I set the sharing photo off already.
    Thank you

If you are using iOS 7, open the Photos app on your iPhone, tap Shared at the bottom, tap Edit at the top, then tap the icon next to the album you want to delete.  If you only want to delete selected photos in it, tap the album, tap Select at the top, tap the photos you want to delete, then tap the trash icon at the bottom.

  • HT201077 How do I view photos saved to "the cloud" that are not in my latest thousand??

How do I view photos held "on the cloud" that have dropped off the phone, ie, are not in the latest 1000 stored.
I cannot seem to find this "cloud"!

hi guys thank you for the replies, sorry I have been away.
I am confused then - I have had to buy more icloud memory recently (2 of us use it with phones etc and so share pics, music) but I thought this was because its saving more photos?
So no idea why I have to buy storage if you now say photos arent saved?
If gone from the last 1000 they are lost? I dont have a Mac just iphone/ipad.
Sorry if Im getting it wrong!
