HT201079 Under iCloud family sharing for iTunes is a family member other than the organizer able to make purchases

Under iCloud family sharing for iTunes is a family member other than the organizer able to make purchases?

Any member of the family group can make purchases, but they are all charged to the organizer's credit card.  For children (under 13) you can also enable Ask to Buy, and their purchases will require your approval (see Family Sharing and Apple IDs for kids).

  • HT204053 Now I've got it totally screwed up.  I have one address for iCloud and another for iTunes.  I would rather have only 1 but can't make the forms fill out correctly to do that.  What now?

I've just bought my iPhone and have had an iTunes account for some time.  While setting up the iPhone - Apple ID - the form would not allow me to use my currect primary email address.  I had to insert another one because of the iTunes email address apparently.  Now I can't seem to get it straightened out.  I need my primary email address to be the only one and use a secondary address for the "rescue" address. How can I manage this without making everything worse?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You need to use the original Apple ID you used for iTunes with iTunes and iCloud on your new device. What problems did you encounter when you tried to do this.

  • How to disable iTunes Match on a computer other than the one with my main library?

I have iTunes installed on a home MacBook for syncing music, photos etc and iTunes on a work PC to sync calendars and contacts.  iTunes Match is enabled on both. However, I'd like to disable it on my work PC as it slows down my iTunes when I open it up.  When I click "Disable iTunes Match" in the store link in iTunes on my work PC, it appears to want to disable the service universally.  Is this only disabling it on this one device, or universally?  Thanks.

Thanks... took over an hour to turn off the iTunes Match, but it did not effect my home iTunes.

  • Best practice for encrypting data in CRM 2013 (other than the fields it already encrypts)

I know CRM 2013 can encrypt some values by default, but if I want to store data in custom fields then encrypt that, what's the best practice?  I'm working on a project to do this through a javascript action that when triggered from a form would reference
a web service to decrypt values and a plugin to encrypt on Update/Create, but I hoped there might be a simpler or more suggested way to do this.
    Thanks.

At what level are you encrypting?  CRM 2013 supports encrypted databases if you're worried about the data at rest.
In transit, you should be using SSL to encrypt the entire process, not just individual data.
you can use field-level security to not display certain fields to end users of a certain type if you're worried about that.  It's even more secure than anything you could do with JS, as the data is never passed over the wire.
Is there something those don't solve?

  • How to set up individuals on family sharing for using Facetime - all are saying it's me!

I've set up family sharing for my wife and kids. Currently all the devices are set up as me and linked to my email address and phone number. how do i separate them onto my wife's email / mobile no and then separate my kids (all under 13) so they can use Facetime etc? thanks!

    Hello Mevster,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to change the Apple ID used by services, like FaceTime, on some iOS devices. Take a look at the article linked below, it provides a lot of information that should answer your question and walk you through the process of changing the Apple ID that's used for services on iOS devices.

  • HT204053 i use one apple id for icloud and one for itunes  and now it wont let me since i reset my phone now  i up graded to iphone 4s still the same problem

please help me fix this problem I have one id  for icloud and one for itunes that i share with my husband

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • HT5622 My family shared an itunes account and now i'm moving out and have created a new account just for myself. Is there a way to transfer my previous purchases on the other account to my new account?

My family shared an Itunes account and now i'm moving out and have created a new account solely for myself. Is there a way to transfer my previous purchases on the family account to my new account?

In order to continue to play and sync the music you purchased with your old account, you'll need to authorize your new computer/iTunes library to do so.  You can do this by choosing Store -> Authorize This Computer and then entering in your old account credentials.
That's all you should need to.  Then just create your own account and start purchasing and using it the same you have with the old one.

  • I cannot to set family sharing for my family. When i open to iCloud section in settings it says "There's no family information". Why ?

As I said in subject I cannot to set family sharing for my family. When i open to iCloud section in settings it says "There's no family information". Why ?

Yes, to clarify - we get a message that says "(he) is already a member of the Family"... but on my iPhone, it still shows that he is not, ie. that the invitation is still pending acceptance.
A bit more detail - when I enter his name (or even .me email address) at the 'Add Family Member' screen on the iPhone, the system will not accept it. ie. I enter his credentials, hit 'Next', and it does not progress to the next screen...
Bizzare. And he's the one who really needs to be enrolled, not so much my wife - who is successfully signed up!
Hope there's some solution to this...

  • Family sharing for divorced family

How would one go about setting up an Apple ID for an 8 year old who has divorced, but mostly amicable, parents? Our daughter has an iPod and iPad at separate houses, each currently under our seperate iTunes/iCloud IDs.
Both of us would like the Shared Location, Family Calendar, Family photo album as well as the Permission to Purchase features of Family Sharing, but don't necesarily want to have it all on one credit card, although we do maintain a joint account for child related expenses.
KInd of a mess, looking for suggestions

There are legal reasons why it's set up this way.
For the past 4 years, I simply used a master App Store account across all devices.
Lots of people did that. Unfortunately, it wasn't legal. Apple came up with Family sharing as a way to allow you to achieve the same results legally.

  • Family sharing and iTunes Allowances

My daughter is on family sharing so that she can access music she purchased on my account before she had her own account AND I have created an iTunes allowance for her for new purchases to limit her spending on her account. Should her new purchases come FIRST from her allowance instead of my card? So far all her purchases are being charged to my card. Her allowance does show up on her account, so I know her account has been properly credited with the funds. Is there a better way to give her access to previously purchased music/apps on my account (without giving her access to my credit card)? Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Hi yosemitedoran,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  If I'm understanding your question ... your daughter has two different Apple ID's?  If so, she can't use iTunes Allowances on the Apple ID she is using for Family Sharing.
Start or join a family group using Family Sharing - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201088
    Start a family group
One adult in the family—the family organizer—can set up Family Sharing for the group. When you set up Family Sharing, you'll be asked to confirm that you agree to pay for purchases initiated by the family members you invite and that you have a valid payment method on file. Valid payment methods for setting up Family Sharing include credit cards and debit cards.

If you use Family Sharing and Ask to Buy is enabled for your account, you can't buy iTunes Allowances.
For the Apple ID that is not part of Family Sharing, this is a possible option:
Set up your Apple ID for iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204053
I have purchased music, apps, or books with multiple Apple IDs. How can I get all of this content onto my iOS device?
First, copy all of your purchased content so that it's on the same Mac or PC with iTunes. This computer should be the one you sync your device with.
iTunes for Mac: How to copy purchases between computers
iTunes for Windows: How to copy purchases between computers
Next, authorize your computer to play content with each Apple ID in iTunes. After your computer is authorized for all of your content, it can be synced to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
I hope this information helps ....

  • New Family Sharing and iTunes Match

Hello to all. With the release of iOS8 and the Beta of Yosemite, I have decided to leverage the new family sharing of the iTunes accounts. The set up works fine and I have gotten it working, just wondering how to get iTunes match to work with it. So pre-iOS8 I had an account "A" that all my iTunes purchases and iTunes Match were done with and then my wife and I both have personal accounts "B" and "C" for iCloud. So basically when I set up a device I would use one of our iCloud accounts (B or C) and then A for iTunes. This allowed for us to both see our purchases and also have access to our music via iTunes Match.
Now that I have put in Family Sharing and we now sign in with our own accounts. The purchases of apps work and we can see each others purchases. But when I goto iTunes we are not able to see the music that is associated with our primary account and it is requiring us both to purchase iTunes Match.
So any help on how to get iTunes Match to work across account with Family Sharing.

This has forced my family to go back to using one iTunes account.  It is unfortunate because of all the features family sharing offers.  My wife was excited about not having to compete for bookmarks when we are reading the same book, one little example.
be sure to leave feedback at https://www.apple.com/feedback/.  I also sent some emails to the major apple blogs out there in hopes that they write about it.  I assume the more negative attention the better chance there is a solution, not that this is deal breaking or anything, but still.

  • Why not debit card for family sharing for minor children

Apple is requiring credit card security code to prove you are an adult when setting up family share for under 13 child.  We don't use credit cards.  There is no reason they can't use the security code on a debit card.  This is silly.

    Hello ,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The organizer's Apple ID account does require a valid payment source, which includes both credit cards and debit cards.
    Setting up Family Sharing
When you set up Family Sharing, you'll be asked to confirm that you agree to pay for purchases initiated by the family members you invite and that you have a valid payment method on file. You can change the billing method on file in your account at any time in your iTunes & App Store account settings.

  • Family sharing for the store account

instead of showing up for the store account, family sharing is showing up for my icloud account and there seems to be no way to enable family sharing for my store account unless i use the same as my icloud account. both are @icloud.com accounts.
please let me know what can be done.

The list of apps keeps growing and now include Pages and Pinterest. Interesting to note, the issue happens on both my iPhone and iPad but it's not specific to apps. Meaning, Pages won't update on the iPad but my phone seems to have no problems updating it. Anyone?
