HT201209 I am trying to make a purchase on iTunes with a gift card but it is not allowing me to because it wants to use my credit/debit card which I know have no funds in. My iTunes account has $30 on it but won't work as wants to use credit card.
My itunes account will not let me use my $30 credit which is loaded on. It wants to use my credit card which I've previously used but which now has been cancelled. I've gone into manage my account and tried to find where to de select credit card but there is no 'none' button. I now can't purchase from itunes.
I had a similar problem, except my phone was a new IPhone 5s, and it was my first purchase. I simply put money into my credit card account (only $2), and gave them my credit card details in the payment info section. I then tried purchasing again and it worked using the gift card I had previously redeemed, maybe they just need to know that if it doesn't work there's enough money on your card, as a guarantee.

Go to the APP store or Itunes. On the bottom of the mainpage, tap your apple id, view account. Then you can edit the payment information. Or you can do it(if you encounter a problem there) on Itunes on computer. Just go to the store, select your name and edit information. Make sure everything matches...exp date, name as appears on card etc..

My Playlist only appear in the itunes when the ipod is connected , and I can not drag a song into a playlist, Also I repeatedly get a message to authorize the songs purchased in order to sync the ipod. I followed the instructions in the help menu on doing this but nothing seems to work, Help anybody ? Have installed the lastest version of itunes and I'm running windows XP. Thanks
Is it possible that you are not seeing the thirteenth song because you did not scroll all the way down within the playlist?

Does anyone know how to reset your security questions?? I loaded an itunes gift card on new ipod but when trying to make a purchase, itunes is asking us the incorrect security questions?! (for 1st time purchase) I know the questions are not what I chose because I wrote the questions & answers down when setting up the ipod. Any ideas??!!!

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

I have redeemed my iTunes giftcard (which was accepted without verification; it only needed my password)
However when I tried to make a purchase, I am required to verify my identity, and thus I cannot use the giftcard which I HAVE REDEEMED. Is there any way I can un-redeem it? I am currently trying to enter all of the possibilities for my questions, and my iPad is new, so the serial number is not registered with my account. When trying to purchase songs on my itunes with a gift card, its telling me i have to have the correct billing information on my debit card which I know is correct already. How do I go about fixing this?
Part of the validation for credit cards is that they need to be registered to exactly the same name and address that you have on your iTunes account, which prepaid cards tend not to be. Do you have a proper credit card that you could use ? Or are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you could try using them as your payment method ?
Until you have a valid payment method on your account and what you owe iTunes has been paid off then you won't be able to download any item from the store, including free apps (and updates to apps). -
Trying to make a purchase on itunes and keep getting prompted to verify account information. I've done this and when i click done, it says to fix errors; i repeat the process then it says to contact apple support. Any ideas or other experiences with this? I've had this happen before and it got resolved after i called them and it took a few days, not very convenient. The same thing happened when I was just trying to update my account info with a new billing / account address.

Quit iTunes.
Open iTunes.
Test the issue.
If it persists, sign in to store.apple.com using your iTunes account
Click on Change account information
Modify or remove your credit card information.

Thank yyouwhenever you attempt to put a card on itunes it puts a temporary $1 authorization hold for 24 hours - 48 hours depending on your bank - since you attempted so many times that is why that $1 is showing up so often - are you using a debit card? because if you are then if even the authorization hold doesn't go through like it should it will show a "ghost" charge that will drop off soon - it isn't fraud though - make sure your billing address is correct - if that doesn't work contact itunes store at getsupport.apple.com - click itunes - itunes store and follow the prompts and you can chat or email them.

Trying to make a purchase from the iTunes Store - but can't????
The USPS just advised me our zip code is changing as of 7/1 (in fact, the new zip code already works).
I tried to make a purchase last night but the iTunes Store profile with my old zip code threw up a flag. I changed the new zip code back to the old one but that doesn't work anymore either. In the pull-down menu of possible zip codes for my town, the new zip code isn't listed. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.
