when i download a song it takes me to the page where i can redeem a gift card (which i did and have $100 credit) but i cannot figure out how to activate the balance for my purchase. please help??

Very very likely that tax is applicable and tax is more than $0.01. You need to add a payment method for the tax. If you add a credit card, the girft card balance will be used up first.

I recently downloaded an album (a gift) from Amazon, one option of which is to download directly to my iTunes library (which is what I did). I also purchased a song from the iTunes store shortly after this. In both cases, the music shows up on my iPod touch in a lighter print than the other music on my iPod. When I select it nothing happens. I only plug into the computer a couple of times a month, but I perform all updates as are indicated and I synch my iPod. Note that when I have iTunes up on my computer, the music WILL play directly from the library, just not on the iPod. Any ideas? Thanks.

I would delete the songs and download them again, or plug it into iTunes to resync them back on.

what is m4a?M4A is another name (actually, the file extension) for the AAC audio format. It is used in iTunes, but frequently has compatibility problems when used outside of Apple-land.
Does your car player expect MP3 format? If so you can convert your files by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
Also, unless you enjoy doing format conversions, you also have the option to buy your music in MP3 format in the first place, from another music download store, e.g. Amazon MP3.

This is if you deleted not only the Mac App Store, but iTunes, Calendar, whatever came with the Mac (Apps that came already installed on the Mac), if you deleted one of those then you have to reinstall the Mac OS, Note: This one is for Mac OS X (Maverick) my version is 10.9.4, go to that link and follow the instructions if you have Mac OS X (Maverick). Other help: Common Mistake: If you delete the app from the dock then just go to finder and applications folder and drag the app back onto the dock(it was just deleted from the dock NOT your system/computer). There are missing songs in the iTunes store. Is Apple aware of any of this?
I was trying to buy a few songs from the iTunes store, namely from Classified and Maestro Fresh Wes. A few days ago, the entire catalogue from both artists were there. A few days later, some songs were missing, despite the fact that they have the albums showing. Is Apple aware of this, due to a expired contract with the record labels or what's going on?
Apple doesn't announce such things, so we have no way of knowing. Perhaps the tracks were defective, or perhaps the record company had to pull them for some reason. If you've purchased the applicable album and came up missing tracks that should have been included, go here:
