I need help with redeeming a $15 App Store certificate. I tried to redeem earlier in the day and it was credited to my account. I could not figure out how to switch payment from my credit card to the gift card credit. Later on in the day I see the credit is completely gone and now the card is invalid. Nothing was purchased with the gift card so I want to know where the credit went. I also have$5 credited to my Apple ID from a past gift card that I can't access. What can I do. Is there a customer service number???

Please help trying to get "Remote" app to prompt me for passcode

I am pretty good at these things and for some reason after installing the app on my iPhone 3G I am unable to use the passcode thats given because I get no prompt on the sidebar to enter it in.
I see a lot of complaints in the app store about this not working well. Sharing in iTunes is turned on Firewall I have allowing incoming connections. Maybe I'll wait for a update.

First of all, are you using Windows or MAC? Second if using Windows XP, try turning off the Firewall Completely:
1-Right click on My Network Places and click properties
2-Right click on either Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection and click properties
3-Click on the Advanced Tab, click on Windows Firewall Settings,
4-Click on the Off balloon and click Ok.
If you want to check the exception list to make sure iTunes can pass through the firewall click on the Exceptions Tab and make sure that iTunes is checked and click Ok.
If you are using a Mac I can't really help, and if you are using Windows Vista I can post some options to try as well. Hope this helps!

HELP!!! My flash video skin isn't showing up or working when i put it into dreamweaver, please help.

When I export my flash project, and import it into dreamweaver, i go to the trailer page and the video, one, won't give me the skin to hit play, stop, pause, rewind, volume, etc. and two, when you travel to another page it continues to play the movie in the background. I bought a used iMac recently, and sometimes the app store asks for the user password of the previous owner (and displays former owner's ID). It won't allow me to change ID to mine, even though I am signed into store with my own account (and this is shown in dropdown menu). How can I make the store recognize my ID for downloads?

It is showing updates because your machine is tied to the original purchase and will remain so until you wipe the drive.
As you purchased it used and the seller obviously did not do what he was supposed to do and that is erase the hard drive and reinstall the original system, you will run in to far more difficult problems when you need to reinstall for whatever reason. The new licensing requirements are that any mac is sold with the original OS - any OS or app obtained at the app store is NOT transferable and the buyer needs to purchase their own license. That means you will not be able to reinstall the OS.
At some point, you will need to try to get either the original install disks (from the seller or Apple) and wipe your drive and reinstall. Then you can download your own licensed copy of Mavericks and any apps you want.

I have the exact same situation as you mattiger18. I cannot install Lion or I will disrupt programs that I run on Snow Leopard that are critical for my work. Apple is not providing a solution for us. Last time they migrated from Mobile Me to iCloud they lost months of emails and had emails bouncing to my accounts. They destroyed 8 weeks of my business. They have done it again. They have already lost several months of my emails and they are bouncing my business email. It's outrageous!
I spent thousands of $ on my software and I have no intention of installing Lion or other OS iterations. It is bad enough that Apple's service patches are crippling some of my applications. My biggest regret was not altogether getting off of iCloud and setting up all my business email on other email servers like gmail, etc. It is so outrageous what Apple is doing it is beyond words. They are supremely greedy and totally uncaring for their customers.

The rules of the iTunes Store are that all purchases are final. However, if you feel that there were extenuating circumstances, you can request an exception by contacting iTunes Customer Service via their web page:

There is no guarantee that they will grant an exception, but you might as well ask.
