  • Why does iTunes say my gift card hasn't been properly activated yet?

I bought an iTunes card at a grocery store and when i got home to redeem the card a message popped up stating that the gift card hadn't been properly activated yet. Does anyone know why?

The people at the store it came from didn't activate it when it was purchased. Ask them or the iTunes Store staff for assistance.

  • What does it mean when it says no SIM card instead of 3G or AT

My iPad continues to say no sim, why doesn't it connect properly

It means either the iPad can't read the sim card, or its not present at all.
You can try to remove the Sim card if its there and insert it again, see if that resolves the issue.
iPhone and iPad: How to remove the SIM card
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5163
Try resetting the device: Hold down the home and power buttons until the Apple Logo shows up.
If it still won't see the sim card and connect to the cllular network, you may nheed to contact your cellular provider have them issue you a new sim card as that one may have failed.
As for usage, well if it can't find a sim card it can't connect to the cellular network to get internet.  It can still use a Wifi connection just fine, but not the celluar connection.

  • Angel Season 5 -- what does it mean when it says "repackage"?

For some reason there are two versions of Angel Season 5 listed and only one of them is on sale.  The one that is on sale says "repackage" in the product title and I was wondering if that meant that it was used, or if maybe it just meant different packaging.  So, what does it mean when it says "repackage"?
This is the page I was looking at http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8014631&productCategoryId=cat02564&type=product&id=1568268
    Thanks!
    Heather

    Hey Heather -
The only difference in those two skus is the actual packaging.  One is a thicker package (older one) and one is a thinner packaging (newer one).  You should be able to receive the sale price on either.
    I hope this helps!

  • What does it mean when it says to eject before disconnecting Ipod?

What does it mean when it says to eject before disconnecting Ipod?

When you press the eject button, iTunes checks to make sure if it has finished using the iPod. When it has finished (and if no other programme is using your iPod, such as anti-virus programmes) iTunes will confirm to you that it is then safe to disconnect the iPod (unplug the cable).
If you unplug an iPod from your computer while iTunes or any other prgramme is using the iPod, it will probably corrupt the files and you may be unable to use some or all songs until you Restore the iPod.

In iBooks, what does it mean when it says: you have already purchased this item. To download it check available downloads in the store menu?

Apologies if I seem rude but isn't it obvious?
you have already purchased this item means you have already purchased this item - you don't need to buy it, you've already bought it.
To download it check available downloads in the store menu means to download it check available downloads in the store menu. So if you look at your top menu bar (in your iTunes programme) select the Store and from the menu that appears, select Check for available downloads. My guess (and I realise I'm risking my reputation here ) is that when you click on that, you will see a list of the items you've bought which will include anything you haven't yet downloaded to your iTunes. I assume there will be an option with that list to download those items.
I would like to thank the person who thought of the idea of taking different words and putting them in a certain order, so that those words form a sentence, and that sentence can then be read by other people and those people understand. Genius!

What does it mean when it says signiture is required for download

It suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

If you are getting that message when you try to sync your iPad, eject the iPad, quit iTunes, restart your computer, reset the iPad and then try to sync again.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, just try using a different USB port.

I am having trouble accessing the 3G network on my new ipad 2, what does it mean when it says that the SIM is not provisioned?

SIM not provisioned usually means that the 3G service has not been set up yet. Have you set up the service through the settings menu?

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
      1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
      2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
      3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
      4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
      5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
      6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.
