HT201210 16 gigs of messages

iphone 4s under usage is showing 16GB of saved messages I deleted all messages on my phone yet it still shows 16B of saved messages I stopped using my
pc for sync and backup and purchased 40GB of icloud storage for $100 and started backing up using icould until I find out how to solve this issue. On my PC it was showing huge amounts of "documents" and "other" whatever "doucements" and "other" are. Any ideas?

Correctly stated I should have used "eprom". That is the firmware programming on the memory module that tells the computer what the memory is, how it is laid out and tells the memory how to behave. Memory without Apple eproms tends to either not work or to function erratically in a Mac - literally no guarantees. There are good third party memory! Don't get me wrong. You just want to make sure the retailer that sells it to you has enough reputation to care whether they are selling good stuff or not.

I am trying to update my iPhone OS from 5.0 to the latest version. iTunes gave me an error message that my firmware is incompatable so the update can not be done.

Do you have the latest version of iTunes. IF you don't you will need to update itunes first then you can update your phone.

HT201210 Had a message to say my iphone needed plugging in to itunes, did this but then couldn't even turn it on (apple symbol on my screen) trying to restore to factory settings but keep getting error (16) don't know what to do now :(

Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message.

How to get rid of saved message data

so i have 1.8 gigs of "messages (saved)" under my usage. i have deleted all the messages but as soon as i open the messages back up, they are right back there. I have also tried deleting and then rebooting; deleting and hard reboot; and delete then backup. All have failed and i end up with the same amount of data taken up by this "messages (saved)" category.
I would truly appreciate any help you could provide.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Using RNIF Adapter

Hi all,
We are trying to test RNIF adapter by sending message from XI QA via RNIF adapter (Receiver) to XI DEV via RNIF adapter (Sender).
In sxmb_moni (QA) the message is ok, but in RWB (Adapter engine monitoring) the message appears with an error:
Transmitting the message to endpoint http://<host>:50000/MessagingSystem/receive/RNIFAdapter/RNIF using connection RNIFAdapter failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Received HTTP response code 500..
In the default trace log file in J2EE the errors are:
Specified key- HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE -not configured
Specified key- CHANNEL_NAME_RESP -not configured
Specified key- SKIP_DOCTYPE -not configured
Specified key- PARTNER_PIP_PAYLOAD_ID -not configured
Specified key- ADAPTER_USAGE_CODE -not configured
Specified key- MSG_STANDARD_FREE_TEXT -not configured
Did anyone try similar scenario.
Can anyone help me configuring the communication channels (both Receiver and Sender).

I tried HTTP Client to send message to RNIF Adapter.
The Http Client was adopted to send message to RNIF Adapter.

On the sending system, the receiver interface is defined as

I'm using my XIS sandbox system as the shipper and XID dev system as the receiver. X
For testing purposes,
1. I've set up XIS as File to RNIF scenario
2. I've set up XID as RNIF to file scenario.
XID is able to receive the messages from XIS, but XID is not able to post an ack back to XIS. It errors out with the HTTP 500 error. Ideally, XID should be able to post an ack (202) back to XIS and close the loop.
Any thoughts??

Music files not registeri

And there's music files in both "My playlist" and the "Music" folders. And I can only access the "Now Playing" screen and the "Selected Music" screens. Just installed Server 2008 64-bit and lost my InterVideo DVD

Is there anyway that I can reinstall the DVD player - it comes in handy on those long flights.....
I am running an X300 with 4 gig RAM

so you know, server 2008 doesn't contain the codecs necessary to play DVDs. after all, it's a server OS. if the intervideo package doesn't install any codecs then you'll need to install a third-party codec pack like k-lite.
i personally use windows media player for DVDs under 2008. it works quite well.

Cleanup of tables SXMSCLUP & SXMSCLUR

Currently the first table is was over 94 gig and we would like to delete all messages out of it before a certain date. I have tried running the different jobs but havn't been able to get more than 30 gig of messages out of it. How can I clean them up?

Do you need the data for historical reasons? Is there a reason you want to archive the data? For our env we have a start point and an end point (for the messages) both of which can determine the success or failure of the messages in question, that is why we didn't have a need to archive any data. Any statistics you really need can be found in ST03 and ST06.
I (during the go-live of XI) had approximately 120GB of data in the SXMSCLUP table and a large chunk in the SXMSCLUR, and attempted to archive the data. First off the directory I specified was filled in a matter of 1 day and the archiving didn't complete because of it. The worst part was that once we hit the 100% mark we had to do a restore, because we had some internal database issue and couldn't add more space post high water mark hit!
What we ended up doing was deleting the data that was 1 day old (you can't delete anything less then 24 hours old.
First what we did (if you are not keeping any data, although you still could do this):
in transaction SXMB_ADMIN
Check the "Persistence Layer Analysis" entry and see what the systems estimated level is at (for us we were well in the 85 - 90% area.
1. Define Interface for Archiving and Retention Periods (we removed all entries defined to be archived).
2. Define Interface for Archiving and Retention Periods: -> Retention Periods
Basically I entered "1" for all the entries except Hisotry Entried for Deleted XML MEssages: 10
3. (if you didn't already) Schedule Delete Jobs and have it run as soon as possible (maybe go to the release job and activate them).
Another area I ran to clear out some old data in the database from a URL is: http://<sid>ms.<FQDN>:5<System number>00/MessagingSystem/archiving/reorgdb.jsp
Also check if you have logging turned on in the "Integration Engine Configuration" portion: Click :"Specific Configuration" button and check the Category "RUNTIME" and the parameters for logging. What SAP tells me is that the amount of logging you turn on is the cause for some of the table spaces to get a little large because of the message mapping and conversion. Last check I believe it was 10 copies of 1 message in SXMSCLUP, but that was the word of a DBA (which I am not).
Sorry got long winded and kept remembering what we did 2 years ago when we hit this problem.

Shuffle function on shuffle when adding your own playlist

here is the problem, i plug in my shuffle, all good up until i try to sync a specific playlist to the shuffle. When i try to use the autofil function that asks what playlist you want to use, it won't work unless it is from iTunes premade lists, not one i created. I can hilight all and right click and add to shuffle, which works for adding music to the shuffle. however after unplugging the shuffle, correctly, it only plays music on the continuous function and not from the first song. Also it blinks green and orange indicating no music on the shuffle when on the shuffle function. I'm wondering if it is a bug in the shuffle, or Itunes?? I exchanged my first shuffle as i thought it was the problem, it wasn't so i'm assuming its an iTunes issue?? Any way to fix this?
I am up to date on versions and am running a 30 gig video ipod on this i tunes as well, but rarely plug it in. The shuffle is teh second generation 1 gig.

well, i got it fixed, not totaly sure of how, but got it done. i made sure that when in the get info pop up box after highlighting all that skip was checked NO. it also for some reason deleted about 150 songs from the original playlist when i converted to aac, so i re-added the songs and hit auto fill and it worked...i'm happy, and i'm never plugging the shuffle into my computer again!!

and cant get any sound using the "Primary Driver" Option with Goliath,Voicesof Passion,Ministry of Rock!?
(The programs are?Fully installed and Patched)
Before?using my Soundblaster X Fi Xtrememusic via the "all you can hear" option I had No problems..But with this New Card the Programs are usable (They respond normally and they light up when a?key is pressed) But NO SOUND!?
I can get them to work via "Creative Asio" but it cant handle the Reverb and Delay Options?
Any Suggestions
and if Install the?Old card is?your suggestion...can you get both cards to work together on the same?computer?

:\Yeah, i have the onboard sound disabled in the Bios, i've also disabled everything 'not used' in the control panel(sounds)because some people said that the buzzing sound could be some signal interference caused by unused ports or something.
These two are bugging me mostly at the moment and then there's also the fact that i can't enable any enhancements because i get ram leakage.. also the crackling sound thing happens pretty randomly and then fixes itself, i have yet to figure it out..
EDIT: Perhaps i am missing something?Should i install anything else apart from that driver & control panel?driver download also includes the control panel, which works perfectly fine.What i did before installing the driver was: uninstall everything creative related using the included CD as they suggest, then delete every single creative app, directory etc.. boot in safe mode, run driversweeper for creative, restart, clean the registry with ccleaner.. restart and THEN install the drivers, with antivirus etc disabled.So there's no way something went wrong on that department :P :P

HAL.dll error on winxp install

Tried installing XP SP2 on BootCamp (latest Leopard + updates).Launched Bootcamp Assistant, split equally (i need a big ntfs partition for XP) Inserted XP SP2 install CD (original retail version), rebooted. Loaded Bootcamp and showed me that i have a FAT32 partition, this is unacceptable for me so i reformatted it to NTFS by windows setup(Full format). Then it copied setup files and then upon first reboot a message popped windows root/%system32%/hal.dll is corrupt or not available, dont remember exactly how it spelles but this is standart windows setup message when boot.ini is corrupted. So what should i do to make it working for me ?
I'm a convert, i bought my MBP his year in march. I assume that any newbie may had some problems adopting to new archirecture but i almost cannot use my mbp the way it is advertised. All my USb devices are laggy in Leopard, so i installed winxp sp2 on VMWare/Parallels, in winxp is all working but music making software runs very slow in virtual machines so i decided to use bootcamp. And now i even cannot install xp. Sad, i have a gig soon and i will ask my friend to give me his Asus laptop so i can somehow play my live gig.

Here are two ways of fixing the missing hal.dll
using the XP install tools.
Option 1:
Boot from your CD and follow the directions to start Recovery Console. Then:
Attrib -H -R -S C:\Boot.ini
DEL C:\Boot.ini
BootCfg /Rebuild
Fixboot
Option 2:
Boot from your install disc and follow the directions below to start Recovery Console.
Insert the Setup disc and restart the computer. If prompted, select any options required to boot from the CD.
When the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the prompts; choose the repair or recover option by pressing R.
If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot system, choose the installation that you need to access from the Recovery Console.
When prompted, type the Administrator password. (if you didn’t create one try pressing enter).
At the system prompt, type Recovery Console commands; type help for a list of commands, or help commandname for help on a specific command.
Most likely you will need to expand the file from the CD. The command would be expand d:\i386\hal.dl_ c:\windows\system32\hal.dll. Substitute d: for the drive letter of your CD. Once you have expanded the file type “exit” to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer.

Stop using the drive immediately, un plug it.
Buy a copy of ProSoft DataRescue 4 and use it to search for deleted files.
