after the last update I lost the ability to delete, file, forward, etc on my iphone 5. The bottom tool bar is gone. Anyone have a fix for this?

Did you try to delete the mail account, restart the phone and add the mail account again?

Email issues after Yosemite upgrade. Several things are happening, I delete messages only to get a error indicating that I can't delete them or if I do delete them, they reappear sometime later.

I use Apple mail on an IMAC & IMAC Mini. As I move from one to the other these email issues persist on both.
I try to clean out my email by deleting emails. I sometimes get an error message indicating I can't delete the message or when I do delete the message, then sometime later or when I go on the other computer these deleted messages reappear. I am also getting emails from some senders but the actual content belongs to another person.
I had none of these problems prior to upgrading to Yosemite.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Why is ringtone in limbo in iTunes and missing from iPhone after last iOS 6 update?

I have a ringtone that I purchased that has now disappeared from my iPhone 5 after the last iOS 6 update. If I look in iTunes (which is an abomination in itself and not intuitive in any way), in the On This iPhone tab of the iPhone page, with Tones selected on the left hand side menu,
I see the ringtone "Stewie Mom Mom Mom" grayed out with a weird circle to the left of it . I have a second ringtone that is also visible there, with no weird circle.
If I go to the Tones tab of the iPhone page, I see that Sync Tones is checked and it shows 1 tone synched...the one without the weird circle shown in Tones.jpg is actually on my iPhone, so that is the 1 tone. No matter what I do to try to manually sync the tones to my iPhone, Stewie Mom Mom Mom is never copied to the iPhone.
Can somebody please tell me how to get this orphan ringtone back on my iPhone? What does the weird circle mean? I've gone to the iTunes store on my phone and also in the iTunes app on my computer and in both places when I view the ringtone in the store, it's acting like I never purchased it. It's not like $1.29 is so much that I wouldn't pay for the ringtone again, but honestly I don't trust that the ringtone won't be orphaned again and again, and I'm not just going to keep buying it over and over. HELP!

This happened to me to.
It took me a while to figure out a solution, but this may or may not work for you.
Long story short, previous versions of iTunes used the Ringtones folder to store all tones, but now iTunes uses the Tones folder.
(I had copied my library of music from one computer to another, where the old computer used an older version of iTunes. I assume most users aren't affected by this, because they normally just upgrade iTunes on their primary computer, and the upgrade process probably takes care of renaming the Ringtones folder to Tones)
For example, my media folder is set to be:
C:\Users\vincetg2\Music
so all my old tones files were in:
C:\Users\vincetg2\Music\Ringtones
but iTunes was expecting them to be in:
C:\Users\vincetg2\Music\Tones
To solve this, I moved all the files in the 'old' Ringtones folder to the 'new' Tones folder (you should create it if it's not already there):
then dragged the files into iTunes' Tones section:
and then synced (erase and sync) the tones over to my iPhone:

HT204017 Email issues after the latest update

I updated to the latest yosemite update yesterday and it caused email issues. I can receive emails but when I create and send emails, they just sit in my outbox. Any ideas or suggestions? Is there a way to revert back to the previous version of yosemite?

I had this same issue about a month ago. I went in and had to re-enter my password for the account I was having trouble with and then restarting my computer. If that doesn't work then I have seen people that had to go into keychain and delete their email login information and after that delete the email account and re-add it. Hope this helps.

Try a reset: Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

Issues after updating iOS last week

After the recent update one of my Apple TV 2nd generation, doesn't show for AirPlay connecting even when is enable. Also not able to access homeshare library event when show a connection.

Having sound issues after recent IOS 6.1.2 update

After updating my Iphone 4s with IOS 6.1.2 the phone does not make any sounds. The headphones work but no sounds of any kind (keyboard, notification, games, music) nothing

Try a hard reset. press the home button and the power button for 30 seconds. once you see the whit apple let it go.
Also, isolate the issue by creating a video and a voice memo. (If theres no sound on either restore as new and then if the issue persists get a replacement.)
lastly, check to make sure the mute button is not on at the top left of the device( no red should be showing)

Iphone 5s Data/baterry issue after upgrade IOS 8.2

Hi,
I updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 8.2, and now I have the below issues:
Network Signal in an area where i have full signal before now it is weak. I have also lost all Data Connection in an area where i always get 4g
Battery big problem, since I need to charge at least 2 times during the day, and night time with all apps off if I have left 40% battery the phone will go off at 06 a.m.
My WI-FI keeps losing connecting for any apps, this is not an issue with my provider since all other devices work fine.
Phone temperature will go high, enough to fry an egg.
I did install the IOs 8.2 a second time using Itunes SW and did not improve a bit.
What should I do to have this fix? I don't have any more a smart phone or a mobile phone.
Is Apple doing all these SW releases with a proper test?
I'm very good engineer, if required I can help to improve this service.... , well only if this is a way to sell more Iphones 6?

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPhone; I know how frustrating that can be. If you continue to have multiple issues with your iPhone, especially if they began shortly after a software update/upgrade and persist after a reinstall, you may want to make sure you have your data backed up, then try restoring your iPhone to factory settings (which will install a fresh copy of the OS) and testing it in that default state before moving your data back. 8900, email issue after update to OS 5

Hello,
I suppose this is the last resort in finding a solution to my problem. I hope I'm not repeating a topic previously started by someone else.
Anyway this morning received a notification that finally there's an update from OS 4.6.** to OS 5 bundle 1682. Updated the BB Desk Manager, backed up the phone it's self and started the upgrade.
Afterwards I ran in to basically one main problem, although all my emails have been restored it seems a few email boxes aren't visible in the traditional sense, (I picked the 'show all' menu part, looked through all the folders etc). But all have is 2 email inboxes that contain some unsent emails from months back. If I look in the "messages" menuish thing (home screen, shows all the messages from all inboxes) the emails are all there, same goes for the 'options'->'status'->'database sizes'->'messages'
I know it's a complicated explanation, sorry.
A more visible example:
I have 5 emails setup on the phone. 2 on gmail, 2 personal hosting and 1 from blackberry.com
As far as it goes for the personal and blackberry accounts everything is there, nothing 'missing', but I cannot say the same for the gmail ones.
If I choose the 'filter menu' ->check the 'AllMail' box then I get to see everything but only until I exit the screen and everything has to be done again.
Although a clean OS installation seems to be the only solution perhaps there is something I have not yet considered. A roll back to 4.6 is an option, since there aren't any significant changes.

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts.
Occam's Razor nearly always applies when troubleshooting technology issues!

"No Service" issue after updating iOS 8.1

My iPhone 5 is really giving trouble after updating all iOS 8.01, iOS 8.02 & iOS 8.1. Cellular network is come to halt, "No Service" issue is regular and i am not able to use my iPhone 5 as phone.
Please help me out else i have to switch to some other phone.

I have similar problem but with a 6:   bought new iPhone 6 four days ago, phone and 3G signal were fine in UK from Sat to Mon.   Yesterday, I traveled to Belgium and have had 'no service' problem since.   I am carrying a Nokia feature phone which is locked on to local network and working fine.
If I power off the iPhone and power on, it comes back and joins the network.   Five or so minutes later, it has dropped the network and will not re-attach if I put in/out of flight mode; needs power reset, and then drops again.
It is conceivable that this is a carrier issue but given that Nokia is fine and all the postings that I'm finding on various discussion sites, then I feel that it is an iOS issue.   I'm booked in to visit the Apple Store at the weekend.   My previous iPhone 4S was running iOS 7 and had no such problems.
So, carrying an expensive brick at the moment and hoping for an iOS update that will resolve this.

Music preview issue after downloading iOS 6

Yes, after I downloaded iOS 6 to my iPhone 4S, I have been unable to preview songs in the iTunes Store. I tap on a song I want to preview, and the stop button loader appears, but disappears immediatly afterward. Ever since iOS 6, I have been unable to preview songs via the iTunes Store. I've tried signing out and logging back in on my 4S with my Apple ID, but no fix. Am I the only one suffering from this issue? Anyone able to offer any solutions?

We all hope Apple will fix it quik.
You can try to restore your iPhone. Did helped me, but can't give 100% sure it will work.

Facebook is not working anymore. Slow navigation on BlackBerry device. Rabobank App needs to be registered again, so many issues.
And not to forget the really anoing info popup saving email is on the left and apps are still open on the left. Can this be disabled?

BB really need to sort their act out with this. I had bold 9900 and an iPhone 5 and thought that the q10 would let me get rid of the iPhone and just have one phone. Not a chance and actually contemplating going back to the 9900 which is ridiculous! Ok so the interface takes a bit of getting used to, the hub is a good idea (if it worked properly) and the apps are better but it is simply nowhere near as efficient for dealing with hundreds of emails a day and now to add insult to injury, I updated to .273 and exchange emails not syncing (even though I have left for nearly 24 hours to catch up) and have lost all emails in folders and a result of the update (which took me offline for a few hours incidentally) and they wonder why the are losing market share! If the phone isn't ready for users and updates haven't been tested properly then don't bloody release it. You're losing loyal customers that are getting progressively more frustrated as BB don't focus on their core differentiator and look after busy email users looking for the most efficient device! Talk about several steps back!
