HT201210 erreur 2001

Bonjour,
Merci d'avance.
Hello,
my iphone 4 turns on and off constantly. At start, only the apple appears and then goes off. It is not recognized by iTunes (11.1.5) except in DFU mode. I can access the restore. After extracting the software, the phone turns off and I have a message saying that iphone could not be restored because an unknown error occurred (2001). Shortly after the phone back into DFU mode.
The iphone has is version 7.1 of iOS. Can you tell me what to do to fix the phone? Thank you in advance.

It sounds like the issue you are trying to restore for is keeping you from restoring.  The iPhone is shutting off during the restore process preventing you from completing the restore, which if you are in DFU Mode, means your hardware is most likely the cause.
Error 2001 is a USB connection error: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694#2000
Meaning it lost connection with the device which is understandable if its turning itself off.

im having a problem with error 2001 help

    Just found this:
Error 2000-2009 (2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, and so on): If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software.

  • HT201210 Error 2001, iphone 4s stuck in connect to itunes, Running Mac

I have latest itunes installed. The phone connects in itunes then right before it is verified it appears to shut off.
Not sure what the problem is. Others have just restarted over and over till it eventually came on. It is strange that this appears to be a Windows error code, but I am getting it on my Macbook pro, running os x
    any help?

The only other thing I can think of to try before having it replaced is to remove the software .ipsw file from your computer so iTunes will download another one and then DFU restore the phone again.
If you are using a Windows machine the .ipsw files can be found here:
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates. You can delete whatever files are in the folder
Windows Vista & Windows 7: \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates. You can delete whatever files are in the folder
If you are using a Mac the files will be in either of these two locations:
User/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates. You can delete whatever files are in the folder
User/Library/Application Support/iTunes. You can delete whatever files are in the folder
After deleting those files put the phone in DFU mode and restore. It should prompt iTunes to download a new version of that software. If this doesn't work then you should contact AppleCare or your nearest Apple Store/Apple Authorized Service Provider to have the phone replaced.

In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue.

  • HT201210 How to fix error 2001 in iphone 3gs?

I was charging (with an after market car charger) my 3gs when out of the blues it turned off. When it rebooted it appeared in DFU mode.  When I was able, I connected it to my MBP running on Snow Leopard, once again the DFU mode appeared. iTunes detected that the iphone was in recovery mode and that it had to be restored.  I downloaded the latest version of IOS and proceeded to restore the iphone.  After iTunes extracted the IOS software and was preparing the iphone for restore, the screen went white and then rebooted and gives methe error:
The iphone “iphone” could not be restored.  An unknown error has occurred (2001).
I have tried updating iTunes, rebooting my MBP, updating IOS but nothing has worked. I feel frustrated.  If some one has encountered and has been able to successfully resolve this problem please let me know how to fix it.
    Thanks in advance.

  • HT201210 Iphone 5 repeating apple logo. Error Code 2001.

Iphone 5 just went blank overnight. Won't boot up, simply displays apple logo on and off repeatedly.
Tried Recovery mode and all the steps from apple.  Itunes will not restore it but gives the Error code 2001.
    Help!

This error could also be hardware related:
    Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
    Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
    Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware.
If you already tried these steps, you should get it serviced:
