If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.

  • HT201210 error (-12245) what does this mean?

This is on my ipad mini while downloading tv show.

I just got a new Mac and wanted to transfer my old iTunes library to it.  After a night of attempting to import the old library to the new Mac it said that the library was damaged and subsequent restarts yielded the 13010 error.  I deleted everything listed, did a number of iTunes reintalls and the only thing that has allowed iTunes to continue is to dig up a backup library (which is in progress now).  Barring this working, how can I get it so that iTunes boots again as if it is factory fresh?

  • HT201210 Error 2003, what is this????

I have reset my Iphone 3S and while reinstalling the software, from ITunes, I am getting this message unable to install Error 2003,
Will someone help me to overcome this problem

Try removing all your USB devices:
    Error 2000-2009 (2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, and so on)
... If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software.

If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If the errors persist on another computer and known-good USB cable, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

my iphone 3 couldn't restore, its saying the error 46. what is the meaning of error 46?and how can i resolve it?

It doesn't matter when you installed antivirus software; if you have it on your computer it will frequently block access from applications to sites it does not know about. A sync does not require access to a site not on your computer; an upgrade clearly does. So if you have never jailbroken any device you do not need to be concerned about your hosts file, but you DO need to temporarily disable your antivirus during the update process.
The hosts file is an operating system file on all computers that overrides DNS lookup. In order to jailbreak or hack an iDevice the programs that do it need to redirect iTunes so it does not go to the Apple activation server, but instead goes to the hacking program for activation instructions. It does this by adding a record to the hosts file that bypasses the DNS lookup for gs.apple.com. But you don't have to be concerned about this.

    Dear rohan07,
    Error 3004
No internet connection during the firmware restore.
iTunes can't connect to gs.apple.com. Maybe Port 80 and Port 443 is blocked. Open it on your router.
please check you internet connection or of you are behind firewall kindly check if the port are blocked . this might be a issue that your using internet via an wifi router where some router do not support this communications you have to directly connect your PC with ethernet cable and try again.

  • HT201210 I HAVE ERROR 1603 WHAT IS IT MEAN

I HAVE ERROR 1603 WHAT IS IT MEAN

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
    When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

restoring an iphone 4 in iTunes comes up with error -1 what to do

    Hi there Roger,
If you have as yet been unable to restore your phone, I would use the troubleshooting in the following article about that very subject, named:
Resolve iOS update and restore errors in iTunes
If the issue persists, you should use this section of the following article that mentions that exact error number, named:
Get help with iOS update and restore errors
    Related errors: 1, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer might have a hardware issue that stops the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Make sure that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Iphone 4 error 2008

    HELP!!!
I have a black screen on my iPhone 4 saying iTunes with the usb picture underneath.
Have connected it to macbook and opened iTunes.
It recommends I restore and update which I have tried.
I then get a message saying it cannot be restored. error 2008.
Followed all the troubleshooting guide on apple website - latest update for iTunes, turning computer off, no other devices connected etc and have searched the web to find out what this error is but cannot find anything about error 2008.

Is it the 2008 error code or -2008? I couldn't find about the 2008 error code, but could find about the -2008 (although I fail to see how it would be related to your issue at the moment).
Have you tried another USB port? Another computer, perhaps (just to reinstall it, then you'd retry with your main computer)?

I got an error message while burning a CD in iTunes - "the attempt to burn a disc failed.  The burn failed because of a medium write error."  What does this mean and how do I fix it?

The disk you are using probably has a defect, not uncommon on consumer grade disks. Try another disk or better yet another disk from a different manufacturer or at least a different batch.

It is a mute point now. PSE12 finally failed to the point it locked up the MAC. I had to restore the MAC OS from backup to a point before the PSE12 update.
The MAC now operates correctly and so does PSE12. I don't think I'll be updating PSE any time soon.
