HT201210 Getting error (-1) while restoring to iOS 6.1.2.

I just want to make clear I did following,
I follow all articles regarding error (-1) in apple support.
Updated itunes,
Turn off windows firewall,
Paused my antivirus,
Checked host file,
itunes diagnostic test,
LAN connections, and
Tried whole process in 2 different Windows 7 pc.
Restore process:
Before I update to the new iOS 6.1.2, I tried using my wifi connection and it's pretty slow and not able to do it, so I downloaded iOS 6.1.2.
After connect my iphone 5 to my pc, I put it on DFU mode by pressing home and power button together and it appears in recovery mode. I already downloaded iOS 6.1.2, so just holding Shift key and Browse iOS 6.1.2 start restoring my iphone 5. But at the very end it shows error (-1) and interrupt and my iphone again shows iTunes logo. Now I can't go out of DFU mode or update to the latest iOS. It's a brand new phone. It just showing itunes logo. Please help me to fix this issue.
While I did the Network Connectivity Tests, I found:
Secure link to iTunes Store failed.
Summary:
Windows Firewall is off.
Connection attempt to Apple web site was successful.
Connection attempt to browsing iTunes Store was successful.
Connection attempt to purchasing from iTunes Store was successful.
Connection attempt to iPhone activation server was successful.
Connection attempt to firmware update server was unsuccessful.
The network connection timed out.
Connection attempt to Gracenote server was successful.
I tried everything but those two error got never fixed.

Did you download the correct firmware for your iPhone 5 from a relaible source ?
Get the iPhone out of DFU mode. Connect in iTunes and Shift+Restore pointing to downloaded correct .IPSW file.
Go through
Error 1 or -1
This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

@ deggie, I wasn't threatening ANYONE. I was simply saying how frustrating this has become, seeing how I have been trying on my own to figure this issue out for more then a month with no results. Like I said in the beginning, I have not used any other account to purchase apps or other products on my phone. I have only ever used one account. There are 23 apps that are saying they can't sync. It directs me to authorize the computer, which I do but it doesn't change the outcome. If I proceed, I lose those 23 apps correct? Do I also lose all my text messages saved, and other things such as documents in the "notes"?

Error 21 while updating to iOS 5

While updating both my iPhone 3GS and iPad 2 to iOS5 I get error 21 while restoring after the update. I keep getting it no matter how many time I restore. What can I do?

i had the same problem, i called apple care and they told me that it was a hardware issue but not too worry i fix mine by reinstalling win 7 on my computer and it worked like a charm, but if you dont want to do that try
check your host file in windows and make sure it hasnt been edited
check firewall and make sure that the ports that itunes needs are allowed through
when updating turn your antivirus off
but if that dont work i know if you want it up and working until u find out what the issue is i would recommend tiny umbrella so u can kick out of recovery mode (needs java)

I have tried to restore my contacts and company data at least 20 times and every time half way through THE iPAD REBOOTS! When it boots back up it is at the brand new iPad screen.
This makes me angry as I do not use the iPad for fun and games. I use it for business. My company data and records for the last year are gone. ALL of my out standing customer invoices are gone. ALL payments received are gone! ALL Business contacts and emails ARE GONE! All my company, personal email accounts and settings ARE GONE!
What am I supposed to do now? In 6 hours I have to get on the road and conduct business with a empty blank factory out of the box iPad. How am I supposed to know who owes me money or who has paid their bills Apple? All of my meetings and calendar dates are GONE!
Everything was supposed to be backed up and restored after the update!
Question???WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS UPDATE WIPE OUT ALL SETTINGS AND APPS ON THE iPAD??? All the other updates left everything on the iPad intact and ONLY upgraded the IOS,and when it was done everything was still there.
Yes! I have done everything. Rebooted computer, checked for updates, Hard booted iPad, Factory restored iPad to ios 5 twice, tried every usb port I have, unplugged all other usb components.
Everytime half way through "Restoring iPad from backup..." The iPad turns off shows a spinning circle then shows the Apple logo and takes me to the brand new iPad setup screen.
Apple, you have no idea the level of stress you have created today.....

Check the console app to see if there are any error messages. I had one app showing an issue (Pet Hotel) the error was (truncated):

I manually snyc'ed that particular app and then re-ran the restore and am now the proud owner of a working iphone. Not sure it is the same problem or app but looking in the console was the key!

Thanks for your reply Michalo. I am in India and here Apple care does not work on Sundays. I have been without my phone for the entire day. Perhaps tomorrow will bring some respite. There is not solution to "error (-1)" on any forum it seems. I found one forum which suggested use of Tiny Umbrella. Any idea about that?

I have had the same issue since day 1 of the ios5 installation. I always hit "Cancel" and then the iPad eventually shows up again in iTunes. Then a few hours later, I get the same message again. Annoying, but I've not found a way around it.

After taking over an hour to backup and restore my iPhone to iOS 5 iTunes gave me that error:
An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-35).
Anyone know what this is?
None of my apps have been restored, or settings.

Try it again. Or un plug and try again.
Sometimes I have found if the server is busy it will not verify the phone and you start to loose things. If a back up was done before upgrade you will not have lost stuff.

I am getting error 3253 while downloading ios 6.1.3 on my windows 7. I am having version 11.0.2.26 of i-Tunes. I tried downloading manier times but not worth after downloading half of the size i lost my network connection and error -3253 pop up. I also turned off windows firewall but nothing is worth. I successfully upgraded my iPhone4 to iOS 5 with iTune on my Window XP. Everything works well.
So, I tried to upgrade my iPhone 3GS as well (with the same iTune on the same computer). After backing up,
iTune was restoring and it showed the error message "An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-50)".
I tried to unplug and plug the iPhone. but iTune showed the same error when I click "contrinue restore" button.
I think backup file would still exist on my computer and I want to restore them all.
Please help me to fix the problem.
