HT201210 How do I recover my sons password for his iPod please? 4th generation touch.

Please can you advise how to recover my sons passcode?  I have tried to restore to last saved backup but iTunes wants me to enter the passcode onto the iPod to do that!  thanks.

Forgotten Screen-Lock Passcode
Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup
iOS: How to back up
Then restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Oh no! I'm sorry to see there's a lot of confusion here and data shared, x-rayDon. We can definitely work to fix. This happens when two devices share the same Apple ID, so she will need to reset hers. She can do so by assessing this link Apple - My Apple ID. You will need to decide who will keep the account if want separate Apple IDs since purchases cannot be shared unless you do Family Sharing.

  • HT204266 How do I buy a game for an ipod Nano 4th generation?

I have received an ipod nano, 4th generation from a friend whose daughter is upgrading.  I gave it to my 8 year old, and he wants some games on it.  How do I buy Sonic and other games for it?  When I went to the itunes store, there didn't seem to be any way to find click wheel games.

You don't.  Apple stopped selling ( or app makers quit making)  click wheel games some time ago.

  • How do I get old pictures off of my Ipod nano 4th generation? I don't care to save them, I just want them off.

I've had the Ipod for a while (by 4th generation, I figured you could tell), and I just want to get the pictures off of it so I have more space for music. I can't figure out how to do so, so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hello Bekahl,
It sounds like you have photos on your iPod nano that you would like to remove. These pictures would have had to have been synced over through iTunes from a folder on your computer. This article outlines how to sync photos to your device, but you can also use it to disable photo syncing and remove them as well:
    iTunes: Syncing photos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4236
To delete synced photos and videos from your device
In iTunes, click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper-right corner first.)
Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Note: To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."
    Click Apply.

  • How can i recover a lost password for bootcamp?

I forgot my password for my bootcamp drive it's taking up 200gb of my HD, how can I recover it? Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion

Boot Camp is not an App, it does nothing except create a partition for Windows to be installed in. Windows does have a password.
I know of no way to recover a Boot Camp password (because there isn't one) If it is the Windows password then Microsofts forums will probably be better for Windows problems.
    Can you boot to OSX?

  • How many song should i get on the 2gb ipod shguffle 4th generation

How many songs should I get on the 2gb I Pod Shuffle 4th generation

    Hello Maureen,
The number of songs will vary based on the length of each song and how large the file is, but on average 2 GB will hold approximately 500 songs.
I found this information in the following link (the title of this article says 2nd generation iPod shuffle, but the number of songs in 2 GB is the same for the 4th generation as well):

  • How can I recover my wifi password?

How can I recover my wifi password? My mac is still connected, but the vodafone store deleted my settings on my ipad!! I've tried keychain access and network preferences, but it doesn't show the password, just asks for the password. Is there another way?

Use a browser to log into your router. Navigate to the wifi settings and the passphrase will be there. The address of your router is manufacturer dependent but will be something like http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1.
If you can't log into your router for some reason you can reset it to factory defaults. Look in your router manual for instructions. Once reset to factory defaults the wifi pass phrase will be the one provided as default for your router model. Look in your router manual. You will then need to create a new pass phrase in your router wifi settings and then change the passphrase used in your wifi devices to match your newly created passphrase.

How can I recover my administrative password without paying a fee?

    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Utilities from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access the Menubar at top.

Terribly sorry Joseph Kriz. I had absolutley no intention of annoying anyone. This was the first time I have been communicating in a discussion group, and as I wrote my comments I had no idea how my typing would reflect and where my question would be going. Hope my unintentional typing will be forgiven and causes no further agitation. The only additional comment I can make on your response is that "I do not use capital letters or CAPS LOCK while I try to enter my administrator password". Thank you for guiding me

You can not change the date of birth on the account. Apple makes that clear up front when the account is created.
The only way to "fix" this is going to be for him to create a new account with the correct information. Any apps purchased with the old one will need to be re-purchased with the new account. They can not be transferred.
