How do you fix a disabled ipod touch?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

How do you fix a disabled ipod touch?
How do you Undisable a ipod touch?
Just to elaborate on roaminggnome's answer, heres exactly what you should do:
Connect your iPod to the computer that you used last to sync it.
When the iPod appears in the iTunes sidebar, click it.
Then click the "Restore" button.
When prompted, choose "Restore From Last Sync".
The iPod should take a while to restore.
When you turn your iPod on, it should not be diabled anymore.
*Note: If this does not work, revisit Step 4. Then, instead of choosing "Restore From Last Sync", choose "Set Up As New iPod". BUT CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED: THIS WILL DELETE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING MUSIC, VIDEOS, APPS, AND MORE! -

You'll need to connect it to the iTunes library it is normally synced with and restore it. If iTunes asks you for the unknown passcode before it will let you proceed, connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode instead using the instructions in this Apple support document.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

How do you activate a "disabled" IPod Touch?
We have several IPod Touches in our house. One of my children entered the wrong password (several times) into my son's IPod and "disabled" it. I tried to start from scratch and re-registered it online, but it is still giving me a disabled message. Any advice???
