HT201210 I have 4 email accounts. One email account failing on the ipod only
I have 4 email accounts on my ipod (yahoo, gmail, icloud and insight).
Only one of my email accounts(insight) quit presenting the new email two days ago.
I can pull the email on my laptop and desktop but not on the ipod.
Need help getting my main email account to show new email,
It seems to get email from server but will not show it on the screen.
All other email accounts I use still work.
I already rebuilt the entire ipod from the cloud; removed and reinstalled that email account,
It still fails to present new email on that one email account.
The other three accounts work fine.
HELP
The only one that still fails to work is the insight one.
Out of ideas now.
Hello. Do you see all accounts in "Mail, Contacts and Calendars?"
If you do, make sure you have hecked the boxes of the feartures of each account to work on your Mac. Example, I have a Google account, and when I click on it, I can select if I want to sync Mail, Calendars, Notes or Messages.
Please take note that I am referring to setting them up on the MacBook Air and not the iPhones.

Once I have downloaded email on my iPad the same is not downloaded on my laptop. Have tried all settings including choosing the setting DELETE FROM SERVER:NEVER and REMOVE FROM SERVER:NEVER
Hey rbrylawski, just wanted to let you know that my ipad email problems have been solved. Called Apple Sup in OZ, I'm in NZ. Daniel Barber was the support tech from heaven!! I was about to return the ipad but solving this issue reset my faith in phone support.....perhaps until I call a differnet companys phone support eh? Anyhow, for reference the fix is below. My accounts are all POP not IMAP, and the primary smtp server setting had defaulted to have SSL switched on and the port was set to 5XX (something, cant remember). Anyhow, SSL was switched off and the port was swithced to 25. VOILÀ!! Settings/Mail, contacts, calendars/My POP mail account/smtp/primary server/ >>> server on, no username and password, use SSL off, no authentication, Server Port 25 Thanks for having a crack at it. Apparently not. I have both an iPhone 4 and an iPad thatbive upgraded to iOS 5.0.1. While it is reported that if you click on the attached video file and hold that you will be presented a "Save Video" option, all I see is "Quick Look". Thinking it might have been GoodReader, I unknow installed GoodReader but still no option. I wonder if this yet another feature in iOS 5 that doesn't work on upgrades

My Mac has been stolen, but I have my iCloud account setup. The "find my mac" app has found the apartment block it's in, but I need an IP address for the police to go and claim it. Is there a way to see the IP address of my Mac through iCloud? I've tried to get the IP address through Gmail and Dropbox but no success. Is there any software that updates automatically that I could find the IP address through?
Shouldn't the IP address be on the box you bought the machine in? If you have the box, take it to the police as evidence that it's your machine. If I were you, I would set the firmware password when you get it back, but make sure you have the password written down in a safe place. If you forget it, there's only two ways to reset it. Either pay $400+ for the tool that can do it, or pay almost nothing for Apple to do it, I think it depends on where you live. The firmware password is this encrypted password and it can't be hacked either. The password prevents anyone from booting the machine into recovery mode, thus preventing them from restoring the computer to factory settings or performing any other functions. It's not stored in the hard drive so replacing that will be of no use either.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

I have an order iPod classic (2007). I also have a Boise docking station. I can use the ipod with earphones or the computer however there is no sound when placed on the docking station. I don't believe it is the docking station as it is never moved, only I use it (older and single). Could it be a setting? Help
iPods, iPhones, and iPads aren't tied to one particular iTunes accout/Apple ID. So there are no special instructions to follow to allow you to sync it with your newer account. Simply sync it as you would your iPhone 4.

It shouldn't take up space because the emails are saved on email provider server (yahoo.com, rr.com, etc) All of the provider should do this.

In order to deauthorize devices which you no longer have, you will have to use the deauthorize all command, found in the article below.
Deauthorize all computers
If need to deauthorize your computer but you can't access it, you need to deauthorize all computers. After you authorize 2 computers, you'll have the option to deauthorize all computers for your Apple ID. You can deauthorize all computers once per year.
Why should I deauthorize all of my computers?
To make sure that only you can play your content, or to free up authorizations used by your old computers. Here's when you should deauthorize all computers:
Your computer doesn't work anymore
You sold or gave away a computer and didn't deauthorize it first
What happens when I deauthorize all computers? Will I lose my content?
Just like deauthorizing a single computer, you won't delete anything if you choose to deauthorize all computers. You just won't be able to play content that you bought from iTunes on those computers until you reauthorize them. You need to have the computer to reauthorize it.
How do I deauthorize all of my computers?
Using one of your authorized computers, follow these steps:
Open your account in iTunes (you may need to sign in with your Apple ID). Or open iTunes, click Store > Sign In, and enter your Apple ID and password.
Click Deauthorize All.
The Deauthorize All button appears only if you have more than 2 authorized computers. If you don't see the Deauthorize All button, that means you only have one authorized computer.
I deauthorized all of my computers. What should I do now?
Reauthorize each computer that you want to use with iTunes. Go to Store > Authorize this computer and enter your Apple ID and password.

I think I understand what you mean. You were asked if you wanted to merge the contacts with your iCloud account. Contacts take up very little room and are probably not the reason that your iCloud is full. If you're now backing up two devices to iCloud rather than one, that will indeed take up more room.
You cannot undo the contact merge. You can go to Settings>iCloud on either device and see what categories of stuff you're backing up and make selections. You can also purchase more iCloud space there.
