this evening has been torturous My phone said I needed to restore thru Itunes/support
I tried and keep getting UNKNOWN Error 3
I tried to get support but I can't open my phone to get the serial number.
Now WHAT????

i was informed (by app store icon i had apps that needed to be updated ,
i said ok to the 2 updates ,
the phine then asked me (as usual) to insert my pass word
it said i had used wrong pass word and re-enter it which i did
this then set my phone to keep switching itself on and off repetedly
i tried to switch off the phone using the power button butg at first this did not work,
i then pressed reset (power button and home button, as requested in the user guide
my phone then came back on with the itunes and usb logo tgelling me to connect to itunes to do a restore ,
after the phone tries to update itself with the download
although the phone trys to reboot and use the down load it just keeps disconnecting fron my computer
and itunes come back with an error message telling me it cannot make contact with the phone
there are no other fixes on your site
so now my phone is out of warranty it is now useless
i had though of upgrading to an iphone 4S but am now thinking do i want to do that now this has happened
maybe its time to go back to android also recently bought an IPAD touch which up to now is fine
but not sure if i should keep this as ive never had this happen to me before and the phones are so expensive
my old galaxy android phone still works fine , so ive now put my sim card in there and works fine after 5 years continuous use
what would you suggest i do now
what will you do to make me stay with apple ????

try going to settings>store, click on apple id and then sign out. Restart iphone and sign back in and try downloading again

Why do I get "unknown error" when trying to download apps with my iPhone when I put the correct password in?

I received this email from Apple and this corrected the problem for me... I only had to reset the iTunes cache
1) Open iTunes
2) At the top menu, click File > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac)
3) In the Preferences menu, click the Advanced tab
4) In the Advanced menu, you should see a button that says "Reset Cache". Please click this button.

Have creative cloud installed and Creative Suite 6 need both installed on this machine anytime I open acrobat it prompts for the serial number at least twice a day

With CS6 we used to ship Acrobat 10 and with Creative Cloud it's Acrobat 11.
Have you installed both on the system?
Which version of Acrobat and OS are you using?

Getting unknown error when trying to make a purchase

Hello All,
Whenever I attempt to make a purchase for a song or a video/TV show I get an unknown error. Does anyone know why? I did restart my computer and all.

I get unknown error when trying to set up iCloud on my PC

WHen installing iCloud manager on my pc (Dell XPS 1330 laptop) everything seems to install ok untill I try to sync for the first time.
IT looks like its working but then an "ICloud has experienced a problem" message appears. It seems like its an unknown error. I have uninstalled and started over with no luck. Any thoughts?

I ignored my laptop for a couple of days and last night noticed that it had been updated by the cloud.
I had added a test contact to my iPhone and it has appeared on outlook on my laptop.

Unknown Error when trying to restore backup on iPad

I'm trying to restore a backup onto my iPad 2, and every time I try to restore it, it does what it should where it starts to load and has the estimated time, etc. But when it finishes it says that there was an unknown error. When I tried to restore it, it did the same thing but instead gave me the error 1604, which I still can't get fixed either, but I tried restoring it on a different computer and it worked fine. So I thought there was something wrong with the computer that I originally tried it with that was causing the problem, so I transferred the backup onto the other computer and tried it and it game me the exact same error. I've spent days trying to fix this, and nothing has worked. I already looked at and tried doing what the support sites say with troubleshooting, restoring, recovery/DFU mode, etc. but nothing has worked. My iPad is on iOS 6.1 and I just upgraded iTunes to the latest version before I started all of this, and it is jailbroken with Evasi0n, although I've tried it with and without the jailbreak installed and it still has the same outcome. Is it a memory problem? Has anyone had the same problem and fixed it, or has any suggestions? And if not, is there a way that I can easily extract all of the files from the backup and put them on my iPad without using iTunes? Thanks.

Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Getting an error when trying to restore iPod Touch 2g

When I'm trying to restore my iPod touch 2g, I keep getting the following error:
An error occured while restoring this iPod (-402620415).
I called support but my phone support warranty has run out and I don't want to pay $30 to have this problem looked at. The lady on the phone even said she's never heard of this problem before. Does anyone know anything about this?

Get 0x80780124 error when trying to restore Windows Server 2008 R2

We are trying to restore a HP Proliant ML350 G6 Windows 8 R2 Server but every time we do we get a message that states "The system image restore failed error details: Windows Backup failed to extend or mount the file system on the recovered volume.
(0x80780124)" We were trying the restore from the CD. Any ideas what would be causing the issues?

Please try to run chkdsk on the backup vhd to see if you can restore the server. In additional, you can also refer to the thread below to troubleshoot the issue:

I get an error when trying to backup my Iphone 6 in itunes to my computer?

IOS 8. 02, iPhone 6. My device will not backup in itunes to my computer. I successfully backed up before updating to IOS 8.02. Now I get an error saying iphone was not backed up because itunes could not back up to this computer. I have over 300 GB of free hard drive space so that is not the issue. I have removed older backups. Any suggestions?
