If the device is not being detected in iTunes, has a different USB port or sync cable been tried? What about a reboot of the comptuer?
As for pictures/videos taken with the device, they are designed to be copied to a computer on a regular basis. Did you choose to not do this prior to attempting the update? They may be lost at this point (although they should be in the backup, but no guarantees).

In Dreamweaver 6, I created a new fluid layout. I set up (4) DIVs. In the 3rd div, I changed the font color. The new color shows up on the website when viewed in my computer desktop, but, when viewed in a tablet and a cell phone, the color of the font does not change. It's the same in Dreamweaver's Live view. It shows the new color on Desktop view and not in the cell phone or tablet view. Also, I changed the font itself in one of the DIVs and it shows up in the new font on the desktop view and website viewed thru the computer, but, not on the tablet or cell phone. Can someone please explain. I want to be able to change the fonts and colors for viewing in the tablet and cell phone, also. The fonts were all standard fonts. Sans-erif and Verdana and Arial were tried. Thanks.

My kindle does not want to open on my iPad. When I touch it - a grey screen
with kindle written in the middle appear for a few seconds. Then goes away.
I have restarted the iPad - still the same? What else can I do?

MarynaJudging by the reviews of the current version of the Kindle app you aren't the only one haveing problems with it - it looks like Amazon need to fix something with the app.
Have you tried closing the Kindle app via the iPad's multitasking bar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Kindle app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
You could also try deleting the app and redownloading it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it (you will then need to redownload your books in the app, assuming that it opens). -

I also lost all content from my diaryIf the video is in flash, then the iPad can't play it natively. You need to use different browser apps to access flash content. I see Puffin, iSwiffer recommended a lot.
You may also want to see if BBC has an app. things sometimes work better through an app than they do just through safari -

There is a possibility that the stick requires more power than the MBP delivers. Try it on a powered hub.

After syncing my new iPhone 4s, my old iPhone is still working and the new one says No Service. When I connect to iTunes, it says my Phone Number is "n/a" and my old iPhone is still working.
When activating initially through AT&T, I had no problems, but I've just never gotten service. Any thoughts? Could this all just be due to the servers being overloaded today?After waiting on hold for a long time, I talked with AT&T to determine that the ICCID and IMEI numbers didn't get changed in their system. (I'm guessing lost in transfer due to the load on the system?). They took down the info, disconnected the call (I had to call from the 3Gs - no landline), and then called me back on my 4s. Problem solved.
Hold times suck right now, but at least 611 calls don't cost you minutes and speaker phone is your friend -

Have you tried connecting it to iTunes and restoring it? That's what it's trying to tell you to do. It's in recovery mode. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to get the hardware problem dealt with before you can do anything.

My Itunes is saying that i need to update to 11.1 but i already have got it and im using it now.

The iPhone cannot connect to any other phone over Bluetooth.
The exception is other iOS devices in games and apps that have 'peer-to-peer' Bluetooth connectivity. -

Updating to IOS7 caused all files on iPad to disappear and restore from iTunes does not work
I recently updated my iPad to IOS7. Before doing so, I backed up the contents to iTunes. After completing the update, I found that the iPad has been completely cleared out of all files. .It is now completely empty and prompts for a new setup when I turn it on.
So naturally I tried to restore from iTunes. However, although the restore process appears to have completed, nothing changes at all on the iPad. It remains a blank slate.
Can someone please advise how I can recover my files? There are a lot of important photos I want to preserve. Perhaps I am missing some obvious step.

Try restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. If still probem then it apears that the drop caused hardware damage to your iPod. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an apple store is in order.
