i updated my i pad with ease then updated my i phone and now apple does not recognise the i phone and then says there is no sim in the phone when there is one installed, can anyone help

But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.

They should still be in your Camera Roll.
You should sync photos to your computer using by connecting the iPhone or using iCloud.

IPhone 4 "No SIM card installed" even though the SIM card is in there

Hi,since today I have no mobile phone network on the iPhone. Whenever I start it up it says: No SIM card installed. Although they put in it. I switched the iPhone several times, and took out the SIM card and inside she put back in, but nothing happened there. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Thanks

Could be a bad SIM card. My son's iPhone 4 started doing the same thing so I took it to a local AT&T store and they replaced the SIM for free. It's worked every since.

I got a messgae on my screen about the 5.1 update on my iPhone 4 so I clicked update. My device turned off then the apple screen popped up and it began to perform the up date. after the loading bar was full it went to a connect to itunes screen so I did but nothing happened and iTunes will not recognize my device. Similar problem here. I have the 4s model and I try to do the update but when it downloaded the update it said that a problem occurred and then switched to the connect-to-iTunes screen.
Any ideas?

You need to subscribe to iTunes Match to store your music on iCloud:

If its stuck in recovery mode then you have to restore it. Hopefully you had a recent backup on Icloud or on your computer that you can apply after restoring it. If so then you shouldn't loose your data.
Just connect it to Itunes and restore it. After it will promt you when your done to restore from backup or as new. If its on icloud unplug the phone and go through the intro screen till you get the same prompt. Sign into icloud and restore backup.

Sounds like you had the phone hacked to work on a network other than what the phone was originally locked to. When you updated the software on the phone it reverted back to the lock which makes your sim unusable.

I am a little disppointed because I updated my Iphone 4 and now it no longer charges in my car. I drive alot for work. I need to charge my phone HELp ASAP . I power resetted it..THat didnt work. iTunes 10.7 does indeed work on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. Do you mean you have Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard? If so, and you updated your iPhone 4S to iOS 6 on some other computer, then you may be out of luck synching to your 10.5.8 system, but you can get and try 10.6.3 here:
