I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

I am trying to sync my ipod but it keeps saying that a previous library exists and that I can only sync it to one library. I want to sync it to the previous library but how do I get it to go there?

I want to sync it to the original library bc that is the one that has all songs. It keeps giving me a library with just songs that I have bought on itunes. I never created a new library so I am not sure why it is doing this. How do I get it to sync to my original library? I have already tried to restore a previous version of itunes but that did not help.

It appears that something happened to yur computer/iTunes files. It happens sometimes. To recovery:
- Import the old music into the current iTunes library
- Make sure all the apps are also in the library
- If in the USA and therplaces where iCloud has benn released you can redownload most iTunes puchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- You can always redownload apps at no additional cost as long as you are singned into the same iTunes account the originally purchased them.
- After all the suff in in the iTunes library, make a backup of the iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPOd under Devices in iTunes.
- Restore the iPod from backup and restore as necessary.

I want to go back to 9.0.2 but how do I do that?

I have an Old Macbook (pre April 2010) and the other day I installed the iMovie 9.0.4 update through the Mac App store (I was using and very happy with iMovie 9.0.2) but now I have also installed Lion and everything else is working like a dream but when I go to record for my youtube channel using iMovie the video and audio are out of sync. I selected the button for face stablization it took more than 1 hour to go through the entire 15 minute video to stabilze, then 2+ hours preparing project and then another 2+ hours to upload to youtube. I uploaded to youtube and still the video and audio are out of sync in a few places and this has been going on since the install of Lion. It doesn't matter what I do (I have not changed any of my recording practices) except selecting the stablization button to see if that would fix the problem but I cannot get the same quality of video I was making with 9.0.2 therefore I want to go back to that version but I don't know how do it.
Can someone please let me know how I can go back to the previous version of iMovie 9.0.2 from currently using 9.0.4?
I think the latest version is either buggy or it doesn't like my computer (my computer may not be fast enough) or something.
It's really doing my head in I need to get this sorted asap.

Hi There, Can you tell me exactly what kind of video you are using? Are you shooting the video yourself from the built-in camera? If so, are you using iMovie to capture it, or QTPlayer?
In any event, one thing to try is to optimize the video. Select all of the video in either your event or proejct, then choose Filer-->Optimize Video-->Full. That tends to take care of the odd sync problems.

I want to update my IPad's operating system but when I tried to so, I got a message at Itunes advising all my apps would be removed? Is there a step by step guide for doing this update and retaining my apps? I am completely lost....

I want to update my 1st generation IPad which has a current OS of 4.2.1 to the latest 5.0 OS. I tried to do this through my ITunes account but got a warning that continuing would delete my apps, etc. I don't want that to happen! I have ZERO tech ability/know-how and need an idiot-proof, step by step guide to performing the update. Any help most appreciated. I haven't got a clue how to back up anything on the IPad, either.

First copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. You should also backup the device (right-click the iPad 'device' and select 'back up'), and copy off any important documents, files, notes etc (e.g. by email, the file sharing section at the bottom of the Apps tab on your computer's iTunes, via wifi, whatever the apps that you use support) - the update process should backup and restore the content but it's best to be safe.

What I would like to know is how do I get to keep my stuff different from my husbands, there are things that we both like and things that we don't. I dont want him to delete off my old IPOD if it means i have to keep installing again. I dont want to set up a new account because we want to share music and videos

You'll notice that each iPad is identified by name. See image below. Highlight the appropriate iPad and configure iTunes the way that you wish. The second image below is an example for apps. You'll see something similar for movies, TV shows, etc.
The only minor problem is app updating. IF you choose to do it from inside iTunes, it's a minor nuisance. Each app is permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was originally used to obtain it. If you're logged in to the wrong ID, you'll need to log out and back in again. On the bright side, if you update from the iPad, all you need is the password for the correct ID. The iPad takes care of the rest.
Mail is a special case. I use Mac Mail and the setup is pretty much automatic. What are you using?

Hi ed652gray. You may uninstall the toolbar on the Control Panel, using the "Uninstall a program" option. Look for something like "Family Tree Builder Toolbar" or "My Genealogy Toolbar".

I want the iCloud upgrade I was promised. But how do I get Apple to supply?

Apple kindly told me a few months ago that my iCloud account was being "upgraded" and then, more recently, that I should check my payment details so that they could charge me for my new 25gb storage. So I did and my current, active credit card details were bang put to date. I waited for my new iCould limit to be raised for which I was only too happy to pay. Then I received an email (which would not allow me to reply) from Apple saying they couldn’t collect the money and so my storage was being downgraded. I then set out on a turbulent journey to correct this - first an online chat with Apple: they couldn’t help so gave me a high-price phone number to ring, That rang for 20 minutes before I hung up. Anyone else had this problem and resolved it. I love Mac products. I hate their (lack of) support.

Sorry, but there is no way to password-protect the Mail app on an iPad. You can remove the account password from the Settings each time which would prevent someone from getting to new email, but that would not prevent a use from seeing existing email unless the email account is IMAP or Exchange where all mail, sent and received, is stored on the email server. The most practical method of keeping email private is to use a web-based interface to your mail, when your provider offers that, rather than using the Mail app on the iPad.
