You should try again later, the servers are getting slammed. Bunch of people trying to download at the same time.
Give it time, keep trying, should eventually work.

A friend updated my iPhone to an iOS beta version when it was still being developed. Woke up this morning with my phone saying it needs activating because the device is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program. How can I fix this?

I'm trying to upgrade my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and am getting the following messege "Software Update Unavailable: Sofwate Update is not available at this time. Try again later."

With everyone and their iDogs trying to update at the same time, things are gonna be a bit bumpy off the bat trying to update and/or activate.
All anyone can really recommend is to keep trying or wait until a bit later, after the hubub has died down.

I downloaded iOS 7 on my ipad mini. When I tried to restore it on iTunes, it says it's extracting my software, but when it's done extracting, it says it can't be restored due to an error. I read troubleshooting page & did updates. Restarted computer & still doesn't work! Can anyone help?

Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update, if there is not enough space then it will tell you how much you need to update it. If you do not have enough room, then use your computer and iTunes to take care of the update for you.

HT201210 IOS 7.0.4 updated and now my alarms do not work at all, please help.

Since the IOS 7.0.4 my alarm to wake up has not been working. It does not go off and when I do wake up (late) it lists the alarms as "12:00am" and "off." I have redone them so many times and still nothing. Suggestions? I have an iphone 4S.

How do I reset the network settings? Are you referring to the phone or my computuer? I am very dodgy at doing computer things so a step by step process would be very helpful for both the phone and computer please.
I did set another alarm and this time it did go off. No resetting itself to 12:00am, but I did not ask it to repeat itself either. Still a bit worried though.

HT201210 ios 6 update has left me with no signal on iphone 4s

Apple automatically updated my iphone 4s with ios 6 when i turned it off. When I turned it back on my screen showed 'connect to itunes' and would not let me doing anything else so I plugged it into my computer and when onto itunes. itunes said it did not recognise my device and that it detected an iphone in restore mode and said I had to restore it (which I was initially worried/hesitant about as I didn't want to lose anything) which I did and luckily all my media etc was put back on my phone. However, since the update my iphone has just been saying 'searching...' for signal. I'm pretty annoyed because this isnt the first time something like this has happened, not sure if its apple's fault or my phone carrier's fault! Last time this happened, I had to get my phone replaced as the problem couldn't even be fixed.

The cell radio or the SIM (if on a GSM carrier)
Neither of which should be possible with a software update and yet here it is
Since you have done a fresh install which is usually the final step of our suggestions - do not know how much we can help here
Can you go into Settings - Cellular and toggle automatic to off and make it search for a signal WITH VoLTE toggled off?
By the way - who is your carrier if you don't mind?

After attempting to install ios 7 today on my 4S itunes comes up with a message saying:
There was an Error in the itunes store, try again later.
My macbook is updated completely as is itunes. Is anyone having problems/success after attempting download?

With all the trouble people are apparently having with this upgrade, this is unacceptable. Of course, if my phone worked, it would be nice and easy to just say "wait until tomorrow".
Not everyone has the luxury of just waiting for their phone to work until Apple finally figures out what went wrong with their software.

I was updating to IOS 7.0.2 and halfway through it, the update stopped and now my iPhone is stuck in recovery mode. What should i do?

We did this but we get an error when trying to restore so we can't go any farther. It says unknown error. I think when my daughter first hooked it up to iTunes it tried to update the iPhone to an earlier version... 6.xx? Could this b why we are getting stopped and is there any way to fix it? I tried to look in the hosts file but didn't see anything at the end that looked like we should delete it. It just said it was a sample hosts file. She has an iPhone 4S.

I am trying to down load the iOS 6 onto my iPad it has been in process for over 24 hours it is stuck on a screen with an apple logo and a little less than 1/2 the download complete it iPad won't turn off and the screen is froze I am looking for suggestions

This is the issue, the fact that I have this much volume, is because I cannot clear the cash - this means you are just sending me back to the old solution you have been advising iOs users to do, delete and re-install the app and then re-download everything you need - this is way way too much time for me. I am doing for the last time. And I hope by the time my download limit is reached again because there is no cash button, that you will already have a solution to this - I don’t believe that it cannot be done, because, since it’s been two years now and you haven’t tried, I wonder what the reason is.

HT201210 iOS 6 beta upgrade Activation Required

I am getting an activation required message and being driven through the activation process. When I log into itunes is says my license has expired and I have to update, but itunes says I have the latest software. I tested the iOS 6 beta, is this normal? It is basically a useless weight right now.

Found the easy and correct fix. I did this today and my iPhone is back to working properly.
1. Go to https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action#downloads and sign in using your developers account.
2. Download the version of i OS 6 for your device.
3. Connect device to iTunes and option+click "restore."
4. Your Finder should appear. Select the i OS 6 file you downloaded in step 2.
5. Restore and back up through iCloud

Update of I-pad unsuccessful, then a dozen restore attempts unsuccessful from 2 different PCs. Same error message each time: "Ipad could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9).

This worked for me
Go to this site - http://www.ipswdownloader.com/. Enter your device, the model, and under the firmware menu, pick iOS 8.0. Then plug your phone into iTunes, and with the device window open, hold alt/option for Mac and shift for Windows while you click Restore. Next, select the .ipsw file you just downloaded, and wait while your phone wipes itself clean.
from there you can restore to this newer version and later you can restore the date from the backup
