HT201210 iPad is completely blocked

My iPad is completely blocked. Error message "iCloud Backup" as iPad hasn't been updated for 4 weeks. I cannot update it as screen is blocked and I therefore cannot change setting from Airplane Mode. I cannot even reboot as iPad doesn't respond to slide to power off.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Pop-Ups windows are effectively being blocked in Safari, but some web-sites have updated their sites to open a window when you click on content on their site.  This is not a Safari issues it is a web-site issue.  I am not sure on how to stop these without stopping other features on the browser.     A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
    No content is affected by this procedure.

    I do not want Bing in my computer.
    I get angry and uninstall the new firefox because i can not keep bing at bay. Every time I go back and install Firefox because I do not like Opera I have Microsoft's Bing invading my system as yahoo search or bing.

    Yahoo search was a great search engine in the past, that knowledge was given to Microsoft to improve Bing, and Yahoo signed an financial agreement with Microsoft to use Bing.
    I can remove Bing, but it always returns in 6 hours, or in several days. It has the qualities of malware, in that it keeps reappearing. There is no method I can find of keeping Bing search off my system, other than to not install Firefox.

  • HT1414 ipad is completely black. Cannot turn on.

    My iPad is completely dead. It was charging overnight, then tried to use it today and would not turn on.

    Was it charging by being plugged directly into an electrical outlet, or was it plugged into a computer USB port.
    If the latter, then this can actually drain the battery when the computer is in sleep mode.  Suggest you plug directly into a wall outlet and wait minimum 20 minutes (perhaps as much as an hour) and see if it will turn on then.
    If it was plugged directly into an electrical outlet overnight - did you hear the charging noise when you first plugged it in?  If not plug the charger into an outlet that you have confirmed works.  THEN plug it into your iPad.  Now wait 20-60 mins and see if you have better luck.

    Hello Salawu,
    There has been a lot of discussions about these and what I can tell you from that is Team-Viewer is an application that is really difficult to block as it jumps from port to port to be able to reach their servers to the point they can use Port TCP/80 and I am quite sure you do not want to block that.
    Some people have talked about instead of filtering the traffic to their IPs (as there are many many) to use DNS inspection with regex and then block their domain instead.

    I have even seen that it can jump to port TCP/443 (HTTPS) where the traffic goes encrypted so the firewall will not be able to filter this as the traffic will not go in clear text.
    The only way You could make this happen is if you have a Next-Generation Firewall and you implement the CX module to be Fully Application Aware and filter the Team-Viewer application (You might even enable SSL Decryption in case it uses port 443).

    you can delete an app from your iPad by:  locate the app's icon on your home screen, touch and hold the icon until it starts to jiggle, touch the small x that will now appear at the upper left of the icon.
    Note that while this deletes the app from you iPad it will still appear in the App Store under Purchased.
    If you are synching your iPad to a computer, you can go into the App Store from the computer and make the app "hidden", but you cannot get entirely rid of the record that you purchased this app.

    My Blackberry (bought last January) has completely blocked itself during a phone call (speaker went on and call couldn't be ended). Since then, it works not at all.     ok. It sounds like what I have seen multiple times on a device with moisture damage.
    Even sitting on a bathroom counter during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause keyboard and trackball problems UNTIL properly dried out.
    It really is more common than you think.
    1. Remove the battery immediately!! Do not attempt to turn on your BlackBerry.
    2. Let the device dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days* (see below)
    3. DO NOT "check it each day" by placing the battery in. Leave it be to dry completely. This takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can only damage it more (moisture + electrical current = disaster).
    3. If the device is warm after the drying period, allow it to cool to room temperature before placing the battery back in.
    *Suggestions on drying your BlackBerry in a warm place (open, with the battery out):
    Place the BB in a container of dry UNcooked rice, and then you might also place it in any of the locations mentioned below.
    On top of any dry heat emitting electronic component: TV cabinet or CRT, LCD, cable TV/Satellite converter box or plasma monitor
