I don't know my password to my ipad, how do I reset it? I tried to restore, but it wouldn't let me. Anyone know how to reset? Thanks
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

How can you reset password on a NEW iPad that has not been connected to a PC? The one I used during setup is not working and I cannot get back into the iPad.
Once you reset the router, all of the customized settings of the router (network name, wireless security, etc.) will be erased and the router’s IP address will be reverted to 192.168.1.1, with a default password of “admin” and no username. If you want to restore the router’s original settings without reconfiguring, you have to save a backup file.
There are two methods that can be used in resetting the router:
1] Resetting the Router Using the Reset Button.
2] Resetting the Router Using the Web-Based Setup Page.

I have been unable to access my router's administration page (192.168.1.1) so I did a 30 second reset and that gave me access to the page/loaded it. But when I type in the username/password combo it does not accept it. The username/password combo I used was:
Username: [blank]
Password: admin
From what I understand, this is the default username/password configuration and it should have been accepted after a 30 second reset. I contacted linksys support and after 2 hours and $30 the technician couldn't figure it out and proceeded to pretty much ignored me after closing the remote control/chat session and telling me that he'd call me back after 15 minutes.
So, does anyone have any ideas why I may be unable to access my router's admin page using that username/password configuration?Try clearing the cache on your browser or try using another browser instead.

HP Pavilion dv7 bios password reset help
Hey, My mother's computer Bios is not accessable and we're not so tech savvy. I had no problem entering the password before then like a month later, I try again with the same P/w and it wouldn't let me type the last 2 out of 8 characters. i used this apple id in my IPAD 4,But some how i forgot the apple id password that was stored in my iPad. i reset the same in my another device. I put the new password in my I pad. Due to mismatching of password that was stored in iPad and new password ,it does not accept it. very unfortunately i also unable to connect my iPad with internet because it does not allow me to connect. In every second message displayed for apple id password. i am helpless. please help to get rid opt from this problem.

I want to change my Apple ID for IPad because forgot password and all email addresses changed so cannot get informations for password reset. What can I do?
I was wondering if you ever figured this out. I have the same issue. When I try to use the support communities, there are so many with the same problems and never seem to be any replys?? Not very helpful and I can not get Apple to return my emails.

If it's showing the disabled screen then you will need to connect it to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode in order to be able to reset it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If you do it via a computer that it hasn't been synced to :
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. -

If it's reached the point where you can't try re-entering the code then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it - from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212
If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect it to the computer with which you last synced it.

I have forgotten my iPad password and tried to back up and restore my iPad but it says you need to unlock your device before you restore it but that is the whole reason I am trying to restore my iPad. Can anyone help?

Have been advised by my email provider (recently blocked account requiring password reset) that they will only reset the password after a proven anti virus and malware scan has been done on ipad and iphone. Is this necessary and if so what do i use
As KP has pointed out, there actually aren't any anti-virus programs in the App Store. There are a few that allow you to scan e-mail or stuff like that, and a few that provide you with information about malware and new threats for other systems. But none are available that can scan your iOS device for malware, because the security restrictions in iOS do not permit any apps to have that kind of access to anything. Which means that you also cannot be infected with a virus (unless you have jailbroken your device).
If your account got compromised, that had nothing whatsoever to do with your iPad. Someone simply hacked it remotely. Happens all the time. It's really amazing that, in this day and age, e-mail providers are so ignorant of technology and how their own systems get compromised that they would try to require you to run software that does not exist! -

Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times. -
I just upgraded my ipad 2 on apple's advice now can't do the back-up on my now-empty ipad! itunes won't recognise my password! help help
Just for information in case helps anyone else, I have now accessed the back-up, I tried a different password from memory but it is not the normal iTunes password I use - which is what you'd expect them to be after. Now I don't know how to get the app collection back onto the screen, they aren't opening. Wish I never had upgraded...
