Hi! I have connected my 4S to laptop to do software update, but it did not complete. says that phone is in restore mode and that if i continue restore to factory settings, i will loose all data. I have apps and media that I did not transfer but I don't seem to be able to get back and do this. Can anyone help?
Your data in your iPhone is losing in recovery mode, and it is hard to restore.
It is difficult to say it can recover all your data, but you can only have a try. That is a third iPhone data recovery software.

I turned off my iPhone and when i turned it back on, it went into recovery mode. When it went to recovery mode i restored it but it didnt ask me to choose backup when it finished, instead it just went back into recovery mode. Try using the Software Update on your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Software Update. One thing to keep in mind if you are trying it on the computer is to make sure that you are not pressing any keys down when checking for updates as that may bring up a pop up window to find the update file.

just updated my ipad4. now its in recovery mode it wont leave it and even tried that fancy little home and lock screen trick. It is telling me i need to restore. I do not want to because i have not backed up my pictures. HELP!!!!!!!
It's too late now to worry about not having backed up. You have to restore the iPad or .....
A. You can have a device that still has all of the photos on it but you can't get to them because the device doesn't work
or.....
B. You can restore, lose the photos and have a functioning device again. -
I plugged my iphone in to my laptop to update it and the computer shut down right at the end. My phone now has the itunes symbol and an arrow asking me to plug my phone into itunes (I assume the laptop). It's frozen like that even when switched off. If I plug the connection into the laptop it's not recognising it now. HELP!

ok guys i need help anyone with my ipod it froze during an update now it will not work at all i ahve put it into the recovery mode or dfu and it will not reset it self it comes up with an error message 1603 the number is and says the ipod cannot be reset anyone please help me i have tryed everything googled you tubed everything

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Follow the steps listed above for Error 1604. Also, discard the .ipsw file, open iTunes and attempt to download the update again. If the issue remains, Eliminate third-party security software conflicts. -

You should be able to reconnect to iTunes and then you should see an option to restore to your ipad from your last back up in iTunes.
