I was using icloud and wifi. Strange thing happened, it took too long and DOUBLED the number of my photos and videos from 3500 up to 7000! Then I see double of every photo in my album! When I delete one, the other one turns up next and is OUT OF FOCUS and damaged!
I want to RESTORE all over again. I just bought this iphone 5 yesterday! Discouraging. Scary. I hope to find the earlier backup and not have this duplicate happen again.

Change here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use. -
I just got an iphone 6. Not all of my music was on itunes, so I logged in and instead of clicking set up as new iphone I hit restore from backup, thinking it only pertained to the music in itunes. Okay so i had an iphone 5. I backed it up on icloud. Then i got the new iphone 5s i restored ot from icloud from my previous iphone 5. Now everything works find execept now the games are slowy and drops the frame rate and look choppy. Then i restarted my iphone 5s as a new device downloaded the same apps even the ones optimized for ios 7 and the games still lag. And i just got my iphone 5s replace. The funny thing is. While im playing games and their running choppy and slow and if i take a snap shot inside the phone. They run smooth and HD but just for a few seconds and boom they go back to slow and choppy. Is it the ios 7 or the iphone 5s it self? Like i said this is my replacement iphone 5s because the other 5s did the same thing. And it was running slowly.
As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you. -
My New Iphone 4 is restoring with the information from my old IPhone 3gs on Itunes. How do i get it to restore back to the 4g?
There is no 4g.
If you don't want to restore it with your old iPhone information, then just restore as a NEW phone, not from the backup. Don't quite understand what there's not to get. :-| -

You created a new AppleID?
Why not simply update your old AppleID so you have only one iTunes account? -

I have an iPhone 3GS that I dropped in water for a moment. After drying it and everything, it still does everything but get service. Can I back it up and transfer its data to a new iPhone 3GS? I heard something about how loading a backup from a water damaged phone could mess up the new one... is this true? I would truly appreciate the help, please let me know, thanks!
Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

To add an iOS device to iTunes Match
On your iOS device, go to Settings>Music.
Note: iTunes Match requires iOS 5.0.1 or later; you can find the latest iOS software here
Tap the iTunes Match switch to On.
To access your music in iCloud, open the Music Player app on your device.
Your music in iCloud will be integrated into your local music library. A download button will appear to the right of any content that you have in iCloud that doesn't already exist on your device.
Important:
When enabling iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and then replaced with your music in iCloud.
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
By default, when adding an iOS device to iTunes Match, downloading over a cellular network is enabled1. To disable downloading over cellular for iTunes Match, choose Settings > Music > Use Cellular Data > Off.

Use separate iCloud accounts, with separate IDs. (Note: you can continue to share the same ID for the iTunes and App stores; it does not have to be the same as the ID used for iCloud.) One phone can keep the current account. On the other two, go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone. (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your phone.) After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from these phones, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) Next, set up a new iCloud account on these phones using separate Apple IDs and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new accounts.
If you have merged data in your accounts at this point, you will have to go to icloud.com on your computer, sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting the other phone's contacts from your account, and vice versa). -

Restore it thru iTunes. At the prompt about using a backup, choose the other option to set up as a new iPhone.
Or, go to Settings/ General/ Reset/ Erase All Content and Settings, then don't select a backup. -
my new iphone 4 is stuck with "USB connect to itunes". I put it in recovery mode last night. Itunes recognizes the phone and says it's in recovery mode, but when I do a restore, nothing changes.
it says "itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." I click OK
then I click the restore button
Then the box says "Are you sure you want to restore the iphone to it's factory settings? all of your.....etc." I click Restore and Update
then it goes into software update
at the end of the software update it says "Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode...."
All this time, the screen of the iphone stays on with USB to Itunes
I might add that while the phone was in it's first attempt at recovery mode, it was accidentally unplugged.
