You cannot downgrade.
If you have a 3GS, you can only install iOS 6.1.3 which is the current version of iOS for the device.

I was restoring my iPhone 4 when it showed to connect to itunes. i did, and got the message,"itunes has detected a device in recovery mode, please restore your device before it can be used with itunes" after i clicked the restore button. the message kept showing up, and i only had the option of updating and restoring. i waited three hours for it to restore, but there was no response with the iphone. You could try to use another USB port, check your security software settings or see if you can restore on another computer.

Really Need Some Help with CME 8.6 using IOS as Firewall and Anyconnect VPN on Phones
Hello,
I have a 2911 Router with IOS Security and Voice enabled and we are using CME 8.6. I am using a built-in Anyconnect VPN on 3 phones that are for remote users and thus I needed to enable security zones on the router which works because the remote phones will boot up, get their phone configs and I am able to call those remote phones from an outside line.
The issue I am having is that when I try to dial a remote phone connected via the VPN through port g0/0 from and internal office phone, i.e., NOT involving the PSTN then there is no audio. It's as if no audio is going back and forth. When I take off the security zones from the virtual-template interface and the g0/0 interface then the audio works great and I can reach the phone from internal as I am supposed to.
Could someone take a peek at my security config and see why audio would not be traveling through the VPN when I have my security zones turned on?

Would you be able to change the entry to permit ip any any (just for testing purpose) and then test to see if the calls function properly. If they work fine then we know that we need to open som ports there.

I've been using a charger I bought off of eBay for cheap because the one I received with my iPod had stopped working, so instead of paying for a new Apple cord, I went with the cheaper option. It has been working fine up until today. I updated my iPod today to iOS 7.1 and now it won't recognize the cord at all. I'm wondering if anyone had any answers to why this is happening? Or if you have any suggestions as to how I could charge my iPod until I purchase a new cord. Is it smarter to go with an Apple cord, or can I stick with other manufactorers?
The iOS update made the iPod less tolerent of marginal/fake Lightning cables. All you can do is get a certified Lightning cable. I would get a genuine Apple cable.

I have checked and the Adobe Digital Editions is authorized. The library book doesn't expire for another 14 days. These have been the only two suggestions that I have found in other forums. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I was updating my iphone to ios6 earlier and paused it when i went out, now can't restart it?
I had my iphone ipdated onto ios6 earlier in the apple store, but obviously had to leave whilst it was still updating, and as i lost wifi i told my iphone to pause the update and resume it later on, now i'm trying to resume the update and i don't know how, all of my apps have the blank grey bar on them as if they were about to upload, but nothing is happening and when i click on them nothing happens, should i try turning it off or does anyone have any ideas? If you followed these instructions and you were unable to enter recovery mode, I'm still leaning toward a hardware problem. Also, since you have IOS-7, read this. It might help.
