This device is not eligible for the requested build (Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194")
Update to the latest version of iTunes. Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) users may need to download iTunes 10.6.3.
Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, followTroubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart.
Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.

Try going into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, apple application support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and see if it'll work
If the computer sees your iPad you know the cable and connection is good, so the issue has to be software.

Hi all I need some help, I have iPhone 4 (MC610LL) I'm factory unlocked on t-mobile baseband 04.11.08 and I'm jailbroken on 5.0.1 (9A405), I'm trying to update to 5.1.1 (9B208) using itunes and I'm getting a faillure error 3194, any ideas. I should have updated before 6 came out but too late now.

My problem is i am upgrading my project from weblogic 7.0 to weblogic 9.0.
firstly i have directly tried to deploy my ear file of weblogic 7.0 to weblogic 9.0
but i got error regarding web.xml so i have used weblogic 9.0 's java weblogic.marathon.ddinit.WebInit utility

Problem error 3194..!! All fixed up.. Problem is not wit phone!! Problem is with pc.. Plugged my 3GS in a diff pc, it updated wit no prob!!

Prob 3194 fixed.. Prob is pc not phone!!

Two questions:
1. The computer that generates the 3194 error: is it a PC (Windows) or a Mac?
2. Have you ever made a Jailbreak or used Tinyumbrella on this computer (on an other iPhone)?

within my code.....

Well, if you didn't keep it in your iTunes library, on your computer, & then back that data up, you're out of luck if it's no longer available in the App store.
Apple warns to backup your purchases for this very reason.

TS3694 error 3194 in itunes when trying to restore iphone?

My iPhone 4S is stuck in recovery mode which occured whilst I was trying to update it today. iTunes no longer recognises the phone and only says that it has detected a phone in recovery mode and needs to be restored before it can be used with iTunes...so having found that I had definitely backed up the phone today prior to it going into recovery mode, I decided to go ahead with the factory restore and would then safely be able to restore it from backup, but, as I went to do the restore, it came up with an error message saying, 'iPhone could not be restored, unknown error occured (3194)'.
Has anyoe got any tips or advice as to what I hould do next??? Thanks in advance :-)

Once I did this, I was able to restore my iPhone from the backup I did yesterday, everything is back on my phone exactly as it was yesterday...happy days!!!!!
