HT201210 Question  I have a 4.3.5(8L1) iPod Touch.   I have been unable to update it to ios 5 and a retail store wants $50 to do it.  Many apps now require as a minimum ios5.  Can anyone help me?

Can someone help me update my iPod Touch with ios 4 to 5 or 6?   Everytime I try it tells me if I go any further I will lose everything.

That is normal, for major upgrades to erase your iPod. You need to sync everything to your computer, make sure it gets a backup, and then post-update restore your iPod from the backup and sync back all your apps and content. See:
