When I plug my iPod classic (only three months old) into iTunes, it doesn't show up as a device on iTunes. I plugged it in to update last nightm, but all my music was erased and now it isn't even recognized. The iPod itself shows it being connected, but nothing on iTunes. i just updated to the new ios version, and now i cant set my phone up as an existing one. i have put it in recovery mode and tried to restore it but it wont work. Itunes will let me set it up as an existing phone and back up all my data but once i unlock my phone it goes through the setting up options and then asks me to either set up as a new or existing phone and when i choose existing it just says connect to itunes and does nothing. can anyody help?
Seems like you are restoring from a blank back up if it is still asking you those 3 options of set up as new, restore from itunes or icloud back up. Set the iPhone up as new then manually restore from a back up. Follow the steps foriTunes 10.7 or earlier in the article below as it is the same process for iTunes 11:

When you do this you will be able to check for backs showing date and time. Be sure to choose a back up made before you restored to factory settings. -

You have no choice now. Unless you want a brick for an iPad. After you restore to factory settings you can restore from your backup ..... And you do backup don't you? I would never update the iOS software without backing up first. After you restore from the backup, sync with iTunes again and you should be OK. Assuming that you do sync with iTunes .....

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Ask the ACDSee Pro support personnel.
With iPhoto that message means the library is a referenced library (photo not copied when imported into iPhoto's structure) and the source file is not where it was when first added to the library. I don't know how ACDSee works. Does it have a referenced mode as opposed to copying photos into its structure?
