    I marked all my songs that belong to one and the same album. I changed information for multiple. I filled in everything but composer and grouping. Compilation is off, b/c it's an album not a compilation.
    But it will still not show them up under one artwork. It looks exactly like "Albums with various artists".
    (I also tried it windows-style and restarted iTunes/Mac)

    iTunes has its little quirks.
    Sometimes closing and reopening after an edit fixes that sort of issue.

  • Error 3194 Help Needed, Apple Article Doesn't Help

    I have tried Apple's article article for help on this and still no luck. When I go into termimal I see two gs.apple.com hosts listed (the article only has one). Which one should I add the "# " to? Should I delte one of the hosts? Any help would be appreciated.

    I have 2 Mac Book Pros that I use simultaneously.  One that I'm using at the moment to type this and another that seems to have a ghost running the trackpad at the moment.  Of done several restarts and shut downs including (shift-'L' button-Option-Command-Power) and (Command-Option-'P' button-'R' button).  Within 5 minutes everything seems to go back to a frenzied curser.  Please HELP!!!

    In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
    That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
    Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
    Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
    While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

    I am stuck in recovery mode for some wierd reason and i don't know what started it I don't know how to get out.  Its an Ipad 1 64 gig with att.  Just bought 2 new ipad mini's and apple tv becuase i had been impressed this issue is insane I can't even get it to get out of restore mode I've downloaded the same 726 m file over 50 times please help.  Frustrated and disenfranchilsed about the whole deal.

    ??? That article has pretty clear instructions on how to redownload anything that is redownloadable (audiobooks are not, but that is the only thing).  The istructions for the iTunes store on an iOS device are the third link down from the top, and from a computer the last link.
    What exactly is missing?

    So what the article is saying is to verify that you are just syncing iCloud contact and nothing else. When your iPhone is plugged in and using the default layout, it should like the image below
    Once that is done, you should be able to see the Info Tab like in the image below
    So if that looks good and you are not syncing your contacts as well as syncing with iCloud, then you will want to use the Contacts App to see if the duplicates show there to merge any duplicates. If you are still unsure what is going, please respond with some more details so I can provide additional troubleshooting.

  • HT4783 I'm trying to learn how to use Airdrop between my wife's Mac and mine. We both have it, but this article did not help us learn HOW to share files.  Yippeee that we can...but HOW?

    My wife and I are trying to learn how to use Air Drop.  The "tutorial" showed us where it is.  It came up.  I saw hers (Mac).  She saw mine (Mac). But where to go after that is, apparently, in the cloud somewhere.  The description says we can share files...which is nice...but nothing tells us HOW to share those files.

    1. Open a new Finder window or use one that's already open
    2. Click on Airdrop, press Shift+Command+R, or find "Airdrop" in the "Go" menu
    3. Drag your file to the icon of the person you want to send the file to (if you have mountain lion, you can use the share button).
    4. The other person has to click "save"
    5. The file will send and appear in the receiver's downloads folder
    In Mountain Lion, a new feature was added: the share button. It's a button with a picture of a box and an arrow jumping out of it. Click on it and the third (and last) option is "Airdrop" and clicking on it will allow you to send files over Airdrop without opening it in Finder.

  • HT2173 Does anyone know why this article "doesn't apply to the iMac G5 (iSight)"?

    I'm trying to fix my Mum's old iMac G5 (iSight). I'm pretty certain it's got some power  issues but I've not yet had the back off of it to properly check the Logic board. At the moment, when you try and power up the computer, it's just pretty much dead. All you get is a blank, black screen which sometimes flickers briefly, sometimes doesn't and then, after a short while, the fans go crazy.
    I'm hoping it might get solved with a simple SMU reset, but I tried the "holding down the power switch whilst inserting the power lead & then pressing the power switch a second time to power-up" but to no avail.
    Next step then is to take the back off  & check out  the Logic board, but the instructions only seem to be for more recent iMacs or  iMac G5's with no iSight. Why should the iSight make such a difference? Can I follow the troubleshooting step-by-step guide or not?

    OK, so I have the Apple TV 3, iMac with Mountain Lin, iTunes 11, iPad 3 with iOS 6.
    All on the same home network.
    All signed in with the same Apple ID.
    All with home sharing enabled.
    But home sharing does not work!

    Try rebooting all devices including the router.
