I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

I do not have this problem on Mac or using Internet Explorer. Only happens when using Firefox. When I select print a message comes up to save information to desktop as .xps file. Select save, sometimes it is on the desktop but I cannot open the file or it simply does not save file and get an error message that print command failed. What is happening?

When I Open the Acrobat XI I just purchased as download from Academic Superstore I get and error message that the serial number is invalid.

I attempted to update iTunes yesterday and I thought the process completed without any issues but when I tried opening iTunes today, I got an error message that said "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7"

Attempted to update iTunes on January 23rd and it appeared to install properly. When I tried to open iTunes on January 24th, it would not open and gave me an error message that said "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)" I then tried to reintall iTunes and it again appeared to install properly but when it attempted to open, I was given the same error message.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use.

I am also having this same problem. I have updated my computer. I have downloaded the complete brother driver package from Apple as well as the drivers from Brother. As far as I can tell, all have been installed successfully. It is only when I try to ADD the printer do I get that message. Both my roomate and I have Macbook Airs so we cant use the disk which came with the printer. This is irrelivant anyway as the drivers have been successfully downloaded and installed. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!

i have a similiar problem:
i upgraded my mac from 10.6.8 to 10.7.something recently, but i did NOT update itunes, still running version 10.4.1. now i wanted to open itunes but it tells me, that my iTunes Library.itl was created by a newer version of iTunes - which i never used!
its annoying since i dont want to be forced to download a 720MB pckage of itunes every month - even more so, if the system start "lying" to me.
or is it another problem? anyone got the same? any solution? maybe an erratic prompt?

The CC Cleaner Tool assumes the Akamai Download Manager is activated and it has not. Thanks so much but none of that helped. It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive. I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!
