Are you sure both phones have diffrent Appple IDs when you are logging in to iMessage and FaceTime.
Check under Messages in the Settings menu.

You need to restore from your backup and not your wife's. You need to check if your backup is under the same or different apple id. If Id is the same you need to erase phone and find correct backup to restore from. If different you just need to use it at restore time.

You have probably downloaded the standalone version and installed it. It will have to be removed,, and then you will be able to install from the CC application manager.

I am the administrator on our family computer with 3 other family member logins. I have downloaded the app for pages but how can I allow the other users access to it? I am a computer novice so i need some advice.
If Pages and the other applicatioins installed in the Applications in the root directory they can be used by everyone. By default all programs installed by the App store are installed in the Applications folder in the root. In other words, your family members should be able to use the programs. Can they not?

HT201210 my iPhone 3gs has just been restored and phone could not be activated
please note i have inserted 2 different type of sim cards and connecting to itune, it indicates i should insert sim card, meaning that the phone could not recognise the sim.
please what should i doPossible causes:
1. Your antivirus is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. Your phone is jailbroken.
3. Your computer has been used at some time in the past to jaibreak some iOS device (not necessarily the phone with the problem), and its network database was corrupted by the hacking software that was used.
4. Apple's activation servers are down (very rare, and never for more than an hour or so).
For 1. try disabling your antivirus.
For 2. & 3. you need to go somewhere other than an apple forum for help. Although you can try deleting lines containing gs.apple.com from your "hosts" file on your computer. -
I am frequently being asked by my iPad for my Apple ID. This has only happened since the last update which I installed 4/24/2015. I checked the settings but can find no way to disable this new feature. It is very annoying. How do I get it to stop asking for my ID?

I am unsure what service is requesting your password as this sounds like one is missing. However, the prompt should inform you what service needs this information. Did 6.1 update no issues, now keeps asking for apple id password
Did the update, all seemed fine, phone reappeared in the window like it should. Only problem is it keeps popping up asking me to enter my apple I'd password. Any ideas?
Quite a few people seem to be having this problem, myself included. I've noticed that it's Facetime that seesm to be the problem. For some reason, it doesn't like it when you sign in. If you do sign in, it will log out as well as your iMessage account. You can have iMessage logged in but you can't have Facetime.
I did a complete restore from backup but that didn't help at all. It only wasted 3 hours of my life as I waited for the phone to reinstall 6.1 and all of the apps, music, movies, etc.
I'm still searching for a solution. -

It means that the issuer of the credit or debit card you have on file in your iTunes account rejected a charge or account confirmation. It is not an Apple problem; Apple is just passing through the message from your issuer. There are a number of reasons the charge or verification might be declined:
Insufficient balance or account in arrears
Account suspended for suspected fraud (not necessarily by you)
Error in card number
Wrong expiration date
Wrong CCV code
Address in your iTunes account does not match exactly the billing address for the card
The card was not issued in the country of the iTunes store -
I updated my ipad air to iso 8 and now its asking for a vpn password I have never had one before, and even with my wifi shut off. Just updated to IOS 7 and two issues:
First when I connect my iPhone to my computer I get this error message:itunes was unable to provider data from sync services". I'm not sure what this really means...
The second issue is when I try to select "Manually Manage Music"
The iPhone "My iPhone" is synced with another iTunes libary on "MY-PC". Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library? An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."
So... I don't want to do that, but I do what to be able to Manage my music. I'm not sure what it means by being synced to another iTunes unless it means to an older version of itunes?
Anyone have any ideas?I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. I think you misunderstand... iCloud backups are stored in the cloud and not on the PC. So, if you do an iCloud backup, it won't take up room on the PC.
But, if you want to transfer the iTunes purchases over, set up Home Sharing. Also, see this link.
