I'm not aware of any particular tie-in between Windows 7 and Domain Controller and Samba and OS X Server Open Directory LDAP Services.
Samba did provide limited Domain Controller capabilities and can use Domain Authentication, but the Apple installation from 10.6 is an old release and I've had some problems getting that older stuff to work. You'll likely have to hand-manage Samba to get this to work, by following the directions at the Samba.org web site, too.
The best resource I've encountered for digging around in this topic area is the archives of the Mac Enterprise mailing list.

Domain Controller authentication in favor of Active Directory some years ago, and Apple has abandoned Samba in more recent releases; this is a dead end. If you are using Windows Server and Active Directory, then OS X Server can be configured in what's called a Magic Triangle configuration; where you have Windows handling Windows authentication, and OS X Server handling OS X authentication, and coordinating across the two. Or (with newer OS X releases) Apple has improved integration with Active Directory.

I m IT support in school in france, and the network is an heterogen mix between mac os and windows 7 clients.
The server is under OSx 10.6 and i don t find a workaround/walkthrough to join my windows clients to the domain controller.
Any solution ?
An upgrade of samba engine can resolve this issue ? If it can be, how to do this ?

Check the settings on your iPad for automatic downloads.....
Settings>Store>Automatic Downloads>Apps. If it is enabled, turn it off. The apps shouldn't download again as far as I know, but this is a good a place as any to start.

Windows Network Load Balancing - Virtual MAC Address

I have environment that running 2 Exchange 2010 server with CASHT and join windows network load balancing as a node.
My question is,
If NLB service is restart, is it virtual MAC Address for NLB will change to new virtual MAC Address?

The NLB work mechanism will not change whether what higher application we used and I am not very familiar with Exchange NLB architecture, may the following KB and article

First of all , I would like to advice you that you must need have an administrator’s permission account of this laptop. If so, You need to leave your laptop from the domain, then you need to change the Network Location to Home Network.
About how to leave your laptop form a domain, please kindly refer to the following steps:

HT4628 How do I get my mac to always show the join a network window with unsaved networks?

Everytime I want to join a wifi hotspot or network where you have to sign in or buy a certain amount of network allowance, the 'Join a Network' window that used to pop up over the browser doesn't appear anymore, or if it does its so brief that I can't do anything on it before it disappears. Because of this neither of my browsers will load pages, or even go to a page for the wifi network.
How do I fix this??

I solved it by turning Wi-Fi on on my iMac - previously I had communicated to the extreme via the time capsule.

It probably depends on which OS you're on; the following is for 10.6.8.
If you're trying wirelessly, I think you can open System Preferences > Network > click on the lock and enter your password if it's locked > select AirPort > in the dropdown menu next to Network Name select Join other network and enter the info asked for > click Apply if it's not grayed out.
If ethernet, click on Ethernet > Advanced > click on the Ethernet tab > select Automatically in the Configure dropdown menu > click on OK > click on Apply.

Again i am using this mac under Windows 2003 server and Exchange 2003, the 2 main components in bussiness. I have gotten email working. If i get mac to join domain i can manage mac through AD (active directory). I know it will not work as windows based workstation but something close.
I am very well aware that i will need windows emulation.
Could you please guide me on what emulation should i use and how it will work?

I'm not insulted at all! I appreciate the dialog.
Here's what I can tell you. I checked the airport utility and it indicates specifically that the Airport Express is being used to "Extend a wireless network." It's not connected to the Airport Extreme by any cable.
Given the difference in indicated signal strength on my MacBook Air (I'm using it now and it's 3 feet away from the Mac Pro), I've got full strength on the Air but when I try to connect the Windows machine it indicates only 1 bar/unit of strength. I'm guessing that it's not seeing the Express (extended) but only the Extreme that's much farther away. I'm in the basement at one end of the house and the Extreme is on the second floor at the other end of the house. When I boot the Mac Pro to OS X I'm able to join the extended network. Hmmmmm...

I am fimilar with changing the setting for all network partitions(defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true), but that is undesirable when I connect my laptop to my home network. A preferable solution would be where I could control the writing of these files based on disk format (NTFS vs HFS+).

Go to MacUpdate or CNET Downloads and search for ds_store. There are numerous utilities for preventing them from being transferred to Windows systems.

The way you "unlock" it is by typing in the correct password. The lock indicates a private network that requires a password. Are you sure you have the correct password? Is this your own home network?
Why don't you reboot your iPad and try to log in again. Hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logo appears on the screen, let go of the button and the iPad will shut off. Turn back on by pressing the sleep button again until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. See if the iPad will accept your password.
If that doesn't work, you could try tapping the blue arrow next to the network name and then tap Forget This Network. Restart your iPad as described above. Then go back to settings, tap WiFi, select the network and enter the password again and see if it works.

Need to be able to join a windows network

I have an Ibook runing 10.4.5, and i need to be able to get some data off a windows server which has it own windows network. How easy is it to link up to the server, do i just plug my laptop into its network and connect as you would to an xserve etc, using afp. Can any one tell me if this is correct or if its not what do i have to do.

I am assuming the network is using DHCP. If however the network requires MAC address authentication then you would need to talk to the network admin.
Plug your laptop into the network then from the Finder choose
Go-->Connect to server
use the syntax
smb://serveraddress

in order to resolve UNC names in absence of DNS server then the windows clients are using NETBIOS and the requests are sent to the broadcast all 255's address but these are are not forwarded by routers so you can use the ip helper-address command under each vlan interface going to the directed broadcast address like this:
interface vlan 1
ip address 10.10.12.x
ip helper address 10.10.10.255
ip directed-broadcast To get sure it works if it isn't the default
interface vlan 2
ip address 10.10.10.x
ip helper-address 10.10.12.255

Apparently there is no HP software support for the HP 3050 fax or scan functions with OS X 'Lion' 10.7:

Alternatives?
1) Run a Windows client on the Mac using Boot Camp or one of the available virtualization programs like Parallels, VMware Fusion, and others so you can run the latest Windows print/fax/scan driver.
2) If your Mac hardware supports an older OS X version, downgrade to one (Snow Leopard?) that still had support for print, fax and scan.
3) Buy a newer printer. A 2007 model is 5+ years old, and should now be fully depreciated in a business.
