I would like to change my primary Apple ID so that all my devices are on the same ID. Is this possible?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

Im also having this problem, I did what you said and got rid of it online however on my phone its still listed and greyed out, iv reset the phone but it wont go.
Also the messages that get sent from this mail, are they stored anywhere like on the email account they are being sent from?

I think I understand what you mean. You were asked if you wanted to merge the contacts with your iCloud account. Contacts take up very little room and are probably not the reason that your iCloud is full. If you're now backing up two devices to iCloud rather than one, that will indeed take up more room.
You cannot undo the contact merge. You can go to Settings>iCloud on either device and see what categories of stuff you're backing up and make selections. You can also purchase more iCloud space there.

After I've set-up my iOS device with an Apple ID for iCloud, how can I change the iCloud Apple ID?

   After updating my iPad 2 & iPhone 4 to iOS 5, I set-up each one for iCloud, but inadvertently used 2 different Apple ID's (one me.com and one that I typically use for Apple purchases). I realize this will prevent the two devices from syncing. When I try to change the iCloud Apple ID, it is grayed out, and I can't find any way to re-set it on my iPad.     That is my understanding. Clicking "Delete Account" is similar to logging out of iCloud with that account.
   But your situation is different from mine, as I had been using my @me.com account for "Find My iPhone" only. I ended up using my @me.com account for iCloud and another account for my Apple iTunes Store purchases.
   That's correct--it will not delete your purchases. You can still back-up to your Mac with iTunes using the same account you used to purchase your Apple stuff. -Bob-

I have an old email that my apple id was originally connected to. All of my files and music are synced to that id. I tried to change the email to the one I accidentally entered thinking it would be a quick fix, but when I did that in mac set up it was like setting up a new id all together. I just updated to iOS 5 on my iPod touch and signed up for iCloud. I have a new @me email address. I want to make it the primary email address for my Apple ID, but when I type it into the "Apple ID and Primary Email Address" field, it tells me that I cannot use a MobileMe account for my Apple ID. It is not a MobileMe account, and I have never had MobileMe. I know that the email works with my Apple ID, since I can log into my account with it. How can I make it the primary email address?

While you can't currently change your Apple ID to a Mobile/iCloud email address, I found a solution that helps with a related problem.
Suppose you've recently got an iCloud email address, but Apple are still sending all your iTunes Store, App Store and Mac App Store receipts to your old gmail address (the one that's still your Apple ID). And suppose they're also sending all the Apple Support Communities notifcation emails to your old gmail address. How do you change it? How do you fix it?
Well the option exists, but it is hidden away in a weird place. To get Apple sending all of their receipts and notifications to your new iCloud email address...
• Go to your country's Apple Store website http://store.apple.com/
• Click on the Account button in the top-right corner
• Under Account Settings, click on Change your default shipping or billing info
• Sign in with your usual Apple ID and password
• The email address listed under Payment Information is the key
• Click on Edit next to Payment Information and change that email address to your iCloud address
That's all you have to do.

Welcome to the Apple community.
iCloud is a separate account to iTunes, you can change your iCloud account and still keep the iTunes account you are using now. To change your iCloud account, you need to delete it from settings> iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete account button at the bottom.
You can now create a new account in the iCloud settings.

Go to the Store menu in iTunes and choose "Deauthorize this Computer".
Then you'll have to go back to the same menu and choose "Authorize this Computer".
Of course, this might delete any purchases made from this account and delete them from your iTunes library.

How can you change the primary partition in Disk Utility?

I have made another partition using Disk Utility to install Snow Leopard. On my main partition Lion is installed but when i boot into Snow Leopard and try to delete the Lion partition it comes with an error "This operation requires a newer version of Mac OS X for this disk". I tried deleting the partition from Recovery HD but it says it couldn't unmount the disk.
Is this because Lion is the main partition, can you even delete the main partition?
And if I do delete the main partition will i be able to move the Snow Leopard partition "upwards" in Disk Utility?

No, you need something to boot off of and remove all data off the internal drive that's going to be reformatted with a new parttion, that's why you use the free Carbon Copy Cloner, it does both in one shot and it "blesses" the drive to make it bootable.

Both drives, the internal and the external clone in Disk Utility (ignore the long list that appears)
It's a safety check to make sure your permissions are set back to original settings, I think the newer version of CCC now does this, but I havent' checked, doesn't hurt to do it again.

Formatting a external drive
You should Erase with Zero option first, that will take a hour per 500GB
Formatting shoud be rather fast, a few minutes.
Cloning Snow Leopard to the external drive should take about a hour per 500GB
Formatting the internal drive a zero erase first for safety should take another hour per 500GB
Reverse cloning Snow Leopard back onto the internal drive should take another hour per 500GB
Good thing about it, it's pretty much all ciick and go watch TV while it works.
I was actually planning to make a Genius Bar appointment to fix it, by the way does that cost much?
No idea, but you don't have to pay if you get a external drive for $70 or so, CCC is free.
You get to keep the external drive and use it later for cloning as hard drives die all the time, the clone would get you back to using the computer.
