Click on the Apple logo on the taskbar.click about this Mac>more info. In the left column click on power, under battery check if is charging, health, cycles Apple claims 1000 cycles, but maybe your's is not happy and might need to replaced.Look at the numbers and see if anything looks way off. My battery is chargered, so the power supply says no for charging.

Elements 10 does not work and I have tried to uninstall it with the intention of re-installing. When I press un-install it tells me it is still uninstalling or changing the program but this has been happening for three hours? Windows installer is saying 'cancelling' the same for two hours. Update - I am manually un-installing because as I can't get photoshop to work - (it says it is scanning for updated and never stops -) I assume it is corrupt. I have selected it and then uninstalled - had no further options offered to me and now it is saying ' please wait until the current program is finished unistalling or being changed' I am totally confused. Now I am getting the message 'Install server not responding' Please help.

Value Help Not Working and Values Not Showing in BPS0
I have custom characteristics transported from a BW 3.5 system to a NW2004s. I have maintained master data and activated master data. When I try to do the value help selection from inside maintain, I don't see the characteristic values. In BPS0 the values are not registering and the variables are failing cause they say there are no master data values. How to resolve?

CherieI also noted the anomaly only occurs with custom characteristics, transported from a 3.5 system to a NW 2004s system and have NO attributes assigned to the characteristic. Those custom ones that have attributes show up fine.

Iphone 4 stuck in recovery mode, sleep button not working and Apple not helping
Hey Apple Community,
My iPhone 4 has been caused me a lot of frustration in the past week and after getting rejected from Apple Customer Service I did not know where else to turn. Sometime in January my iPhone 4's sleep/wake button stopped responding (it seemed to have gotten stuck) and in my initial call to Apple I was told there was nothing they could do for me even though I was within the 1 year warranty. I figured I could live without locking my phone, it wasn't that big of a deal to me so I simply ignored it.
However, just a few days ago my home button started being less responsive and this was clearly something I could not manage without. It was acting odd, sometimes it would work on the first try and sometimes it wouldn't do anything even after 4-5 tries. The worst part was it would automatically go to voice control even when it was sitting in my pocket. This of course caused me quite a lot of embarrassment since voice control would activate in the middle of my lectures sounding a chime and would dial a random person's number and I would open my phone to hearing someone calling my name. No fun indeed. I called apple about it last week and the nice agent told me that he had waved some sort of a fee to talk to me, I did not know I was required to pay to recieve basic customer support. He also said since I was over the one-year warranty by 7 days and because I do not have an Apple Care plan there was nothing he could do for me besides offering me a refurbished iPhone 4 for $150 as a replacement. I said thanks for the offer but that isn't exactly solving my problem. Since Apple comes out with a new phone every year and being an Apple geek I stay current with the new technology - the Apple care plan just doesn't suit me. I protect my phone in the best of cases and I have never damaged a product due to negligence, I'm not a kid anymore so I don't need to insure my products for my own stupidity.
Well just in the past few hours the demon iPhone went from making random calls to showing me a "Connect to iTunes" logo. I figured it had to be reset due to some software probelm (which meant I might not have to fork out $$$ to get the home button fixed), I gladly connected it to my laptop and now it wont seem to leave recovery mode. I have tried numerous times and it seems to complete recovery and then tell me to connect to itunes again. At this point I feel like I have lost my phone (and everything precious I had stored in it).
Of course as a business professional this is quite a set back. All my contacts, all my pictures and scans of products and documents and even the little notes that I kept on there to help me function - all gone. I haven't called Apple yet but since they were unable to help me before I am assuming there isn't much they can do now. I do not want to pay $29.99 to be able to talk to someone who will tell me I am out of luck. I am about 130 miles from the nearest Apple store so the Genius bar is out of the window. So in a last attempt to salvage this expensive piece of technology I turn to you Apple Community for suggestions. I was not able to find an email address for customer service or any method of communication to someone who could just hear me out and give me a reasonable excuse for why Apple cannot do anything for me. I always heard about the great customer service of Apple but I am surprised to see a product fail before my eyes and the manufacturer simply refusing to accept responsibility; all because I am 7 days too late. If I had dropped it or damage it through some programming experiments then I understand Apple refusing to do anything but this case is very disappointing.
I would sincerely appreciate any advice and apologize for writing a novel here, I wanted to present my case in the fullest of details.
- RazaI had the same issue (stuck in "Connect to iTunes" logo mode) and looked around for a resolution. I didn't find an answer posted anywhere. I ended up holding down the power button and the home button for about 20 seconds before it finally came back and said I had to restore it. Once restored, everything is fine.
My problem was caused when I accidentally closed the iTunes window when I was updating the software (I meant to turn off the volume as a song was playing, but clicked on the window close button instead of the pause button). I tried holding both buttons for the recommended 10 seconds several times and it didn't clear the problem. Holding both buttons for a longer period of time did the trick for me.
I hope this post is useful to others. -

There's no software fix for a hardware issue. Make an appointment at any Apple store, an out of warranty replacement is US $199 for an iPhone 4S. It that's too much money, find a third-party repair service. But, be aware, if a third-party touches your phone, you void all support from Apple & forfeit the right to an out of warranty replacement. Also, since Apple does not sell parts, there is no way to determine if any parts used to fix your phone are genuine or knock offs.

I recently updated to the new iOS through my computer with my iPhone 4 pluged in via USB. It has shut down my phone and just shows the iTunes icon with the USB cord to plug in. Sending by Dropbox where, To who, to what computer? As your does not start up.
You need to take at least the OS disc to a work Mac computer and create DMG from the OS install disc then restore that DMG to USB thumb drive. Then you can boot the computer from that thumb drive and install the OS. That is if your hard drive is functioning correctly.
Then you can use the App disc in the external CD/DVD drive to load up all the included Applications that come with your version of OS X. -

If the reset doesn't work, you have to force iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -

The cable may be damaged. Try another cable.

My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -

First, be sure that the contacts on the devices are in the "icloud" section and not the "On my iPhone" (or iPad) section of the contact listings/groups.
Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If most of them are gone, then they are gone.
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers. So performing a restore will not help.

Then they have been deleted. There are many reasons for this. One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device. How to get them back? Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases. Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac). Just restore the data files back to the computer. Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone. -
I have a 5 year old MacBook running OS X v10.5.8 Of course Apple does not provide an OS update and then other software apps won't update because the OS is obsolete. Is there a way of upgrading the hardware so the software can be made current?
