HT201263 i just bought an iphonene 3g from a friend. So I decided to go with straight talk as my carrier, since they advertised it worked w/ that phone. But I cant get any kind of data. I have tried everything! Someone have any suggestions?
i just got iphone3g i decided to go with straight talk well I have no data watsoever. Not able to connect to anything including wi fi. I have called apple and straight talk but no progress. I have looked online and researched on you tube and anything i could find but still no progress. Has anyone had this happen? or could I get some suggestions...PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If they told you it would work, you'll have to talk to them. They are not a supported carrier.

If you mean that you are creating a new iTunes account then the gift card field is optional, it doesn't have to be filled in, you can enter your credit card details instead as your payment method - and no, there isn't a 'promo code'.

My carrier is Straight Talk (using ATT network) and they require the user to enter the APN settings in order to access their data network. My Iphone 4s is factory unlocked but I can not get to the Cellular Data Network tab to enter the settings?
Yes ATT hides the APN settings so when you try to use a st sim it automatically reads on AT&T network so the APN settings are hidden and cannot be accessed however you can go to apn.straighttalk.com on you'r phone and select APN/data settings then select AT&T then iPhone and a screen will pop up asking if you would like to install the profile for whatever reason it's not verified but works fine. You can also go to www.unlockit.co.nz and set up a straight talk APN profile that is verified not sure exactly what that means but both work to get the data working on the phone for straight talk but it does not make the MMS work. There are a couple other methods I have read about one is on howardforums using ibackupbot to manually change the files on the phone I haven't been able to get mine to stick using that method but other people have and there is a sim swap method to trick the phone to reveal APN settings using a tmobile sim I have not tried this but other people have with success. The last two methods mentioned will make both data and MMS work

I have windows vista. I have run the latest update from Microsoft. iTunes works except for connecting to the store. I have tried everything on line for suggestions, going back on the update, allowing through in firewall settings, adding to trusted sites, disabling bonjour...Nothing works.....please HELP!

Got the new Iphone 5c from Verizon today and was really happy with the phone until we realized it is unable to send or recieve text messages AT ALL. We've tried everything, searched the internet for hours, I've tried live chatting with Verizon and Apple ALL DAY and somehow keep getting "disconnected" even though my internet is working perfectly. The phone is pretty much useless if it's unable to perform one of it's main functions and it's really dissapointing to add a line, get the phone, only to discover a major problem with seemingly no solution whatsoever. Is there any fix for this? Because a phone that is incapable of sending or receiving a simple SMS message is pretty much useless. It's too bad too because I really love the phone if not for that. Does anyone have a legitimate way to solve this problem? We've done everything, network resets, turning imessaging on and off, factory reset, etc. etc. etc. and nothing works. Please help.

I just bought an iphone 4s and the phone will not sync to itune. I have the music that I bought from itunes but not my other music. And when I do plug the phone up to my computer it will say that the phone is hooked up but iTunes will not show my phone like my ipod shuffle shows up on iTunes.

I have never had any problem connecting my apple devices to my wifi until a couple days ago. My sony laptop still connects just fine. Every time I try to connect my iPhone it says unable to connect. I have restarted every possible thing, reset network settings, forget and re connect wifi nothing has worked for me. I don't get very good service in my apartment so I rely heavily on my wifi and I am at a loss at what to do.

Have you restarted your ROUTER? Remove all power from it for about 30 seconds. Even if it works with your laptop. -
IPod Touch will NOT sync! Have tried EVERYTHING! ... suggestions anyone?
I have no idea what is going on, my iPod touch is only 6 months old and in good condition. I've never dropped or anything like that, no computer crashes or surges that would cause any problems with it, and up until this morning, it has been working fine connecting to my netbook and such, downloading and all that.
I have tried re-installing iTunes TWICE, and it still will not recognize my iPod at all. It will charge it, but just not recognize it. I updated the usb driver and thought that was that problem because it actually seemed like it was out of date and re-started the computer, but it still didn't work.
I have no idea why it all of a sudden is not recognizing my iPod, and could use any suggestions. I really wanted to enjoy using my iPod this Memorial Day Weekend and hope someone can help me.

dm85344Jailbroken means to jailbreak it, but I will not go in to detail, as Apple does not allow it. Do not do it if you find out what it is, Apple voids your warenty, and it can go seriously wrong and brick your iPod. See Syncing and arranging apps from the App Store for how to sync apps on iTunes, and Syncing music to iPod or iPhone for syncing music.

When inserting a CD into the disk drive, it stuck before it was found or mounted and I am not been able to get it out. I have tried dick utility and restarting whilst pressing the mouse and tried using terminal, all to no avail.
Are there any other ways of getting the **** thing out???!!!!If the drive does not eject discs using the F12 or eject key on the keyboard.
If the disc will not eject try dragging the disc icon to the trash.
If the disc will still not eject, holding down the trackpad or mouse button after restarting the computer should also eject a disc.
If the disc continues not to eject, reset the System Management Controller (SMC) and try steps 1-4 again.

or another iOs device, which option do I choose? *Set up as a new iPod or *Restore from the backup of (myself or son's itouch) I have done this before but cannot remember what I did and I do not want to lose what I have.
Thanks, I want his to be his own so I can manually put what apps and songs on it without all the ones I have. So I chose the 2nd option you said. I Know that when I open itunes i hold down the shift key and choose which ipod I want to use. Thank-you for your help!

How do I get artwork into itunes, I have photes in iphoto but they will not transfer. The highlighting & get info stuff does not work or does changing the type of copy into itunes

1. I live in Atlanta, close enough to an Apple store. But I just know that going there will probably mean I'll have to get the logic board replaced.
2. The only thing I noticed before the first USB port started acting funny was that my battery status changed to "Service Battery". I plan on replacing it this week too.
3. Nope only difference is that my battery drains kind of fast. After about 3-4 hours of my normal usuage with it (Internet, music, videos, and sometimes using Logic) it will be time to hook up the charger.
Would replacing the battery do anything? I'm not thinking it would but figure it'd be worth a shot since I've got to replace it anyway.
And to goofyziggy,
I too noticed that most people who had this problem had some version of OSX 10.8.x
