Phone stuck in recovery. Cant get it out. Tried holding home and sleep button simutaneously. Restored phone. Still unable to get it out of recovery.
Place the phone in DFU mode (search Google for instructions) and restore as a new device.

Try tweezers or needle nose pliers. If these don't work, make an appointment at an Apple Store. I don't know if they will charge anything for thistle of service.

i tried to restore my iphone 4s because it kept saying "searching..." for service so i decided to restore it, after having already reset all network settings, and after trying to restore all settings. still, it only said "searching..." for service. finally, i tried to restore my iphone. when using my macbook, 3/4 through i recieved a message to update my itunes software. i had to close itunes for the update. when i closed itunes, the iphone restore was in pprogress and having to close the program put my phone into this "recovery mode" with the icon of the usb and the itunes disc logo. i also tried updating and restoring the software with my pc which also didnt work. help?
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!

SusanHad you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

Hi, just bought my daughter an Iphone 4s and I can't get it to let her on youtube, Facebook etc., keeps saying no internet connection. My husband and I have 3G smartphones and we can get on them on ours, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Also, my other daughter has the same phone and has no trouble getting on these sites either. Firefox connects to google-analytics for some sites,when i click on links in websites or emails and then gets stuck, and I can never get onto the site. Your notes should be stored in your backup, so if you have backed up the iPad and that backup does contain those notes that you deleted, you can try restoring from your backup. If you haven't backed up the iPad since you created those notes, they are gone.
If you backup with iCloud only, restoring from backup involves erasing the device and then going through the setup all over again and finally restoring from the iCloud backup. This article explains the process quite clearly.

If you backup with iTunes, connect the iPad to your computer, launch iTunes and right click on the device name on the left and select - Restore from Backup. But before you do that .... turn off auto sync in iTunes - without connecting the iPad - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box at the bottom of that window in order to turn off auto sync.
Email messages are not stored in your backups. -

I have imported contacts from Outlook to Mail and they have synced via iCloud to my iPhone 3GS. I can't get my iPhone to make a call using these contacts (it tries but then says call ended) but if I dial the number of any of the contacts on the keypad, the call DOES work! Help me please - is there something I need to do to the contacts because tehy came from Outlook? Thanks

My iPod Touch is stuck. I can't get it to power off. All that comes up on the screen is the Apple Logo. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
You may need to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the apple logo appears. Or anther thing you can try is draining the battery until the battery is dead. That's what i tried and worked. You may need to do those things more than 2 times. OH anther thing is you can try connecting you ipod to your computer and see if it appears on itunes. If those don't work you can send it to apple. So that's what helped me I hope I answered your question.

An iPad and iPhone cannot connect via Bluetooth unless you are trying to use a Personal Hotspot feature on your iPhone or have one of the few third-party apps that allow limited file transfer or device-to-device gaming. Unless you're attempting one of these, then any previous "pairing" was probably illusory. If you are trying to use such a thing, tell us which one and someone may be able to provide suggestions.
