HT201263 iPhone wont restart

I am unable to restart or connect my iphone 5s to itunes. The only device that has a usb input is my Microsoft Surface RT, which I don't believe has itunes capability. Does anyone have any ideas short of going to an apple store how to make it work?

You will have to put your phone into recovery mode and restore the phone as new. Since you don't have a back up, you will lose all the data on your phone but you will be able to use it again.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.

Might even be a good idea to turn off the phone, reseat the SIM card, and turn it back on.

The Intel iMac's require a SMC reset different than other Mac's, see the link below.

Then when you restart, with a wired keyboard and mouse hold down the mouse button during the startup to eject the disk.
Now if the iMac still will not startup normally, pop in the Leopard Disk, open Disk Utility and repair your Startup Volume from the Install Disk. Another option is to hold the Option Key and startup from your backup ??? External HD / Time Machine or Bootable Clone and repair the Internal HD from there.

it rings and the speaker works while calling but other than that all audio-related functions are off .

As the title says my iphone wont receive phone calls, when you phone it it just goes straight to answer phone and some times it takes for ever to receive texts as well. is there anything i can do to fix this??

Hi Ryan,
An easy troubleshooting step that may resolve the issue is restarting the iPhone. You can do this by holding the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears> then slide to turn off> and turn the iPhone back on by pressing the Sleep/Wake again, as described on page 46 of the iPhone User Guide.

IPhone 4 Restarting Randomly

I have had the iPhone for about 4 hours.
And now, since about 30 minutes it is restarting randomly.
I tried to launch IM+ and suddenly had a blue screen and then the phone restarted.
At other times I will see a pink screen, and then it will restart.
Sometimes it hangs on the Apple logo and wont restart.
I tried a hard reboot already.
Help!

I have had the restarting problem suddenly today and it has restarted about thrice now within 30 mins.
First time - I was hearing to songs and the next two times was talking over phone.
Any updates - I don't remember doing anything after 4.02 and only thing new is the iTunes 10 on my Mac this morning.
