I am trying to recover my Brother's Ipod Touch after he forgot his password. I have gotton to the point of resting it. Then after I felt accomplished it asked for the passcode that I don't know?? Can anyone help me.

I've been in the same situation once.
Here's what I did:
Went to Staples and bought an external hard drive enclosure.
Took the hard drive out of the dead computer then installed it in the enclosure.
From there I hooked it up to a working computer via usb port then copied the files that I needed from it.
Assuming that your hard drive is not dead/toasted, then you can recover the data you need through this procedure.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use this to put everything back.

I would like to have multiple pass codes on my iPad2s. I need a separate pass code for the 'Reset" functions. I want to use one pass code for when the iPad is "booted' or woken up then a different passcode for when the "Reset" funtions are accessed. Is there any way to do this? During my testing I have not seen away to have different pass codes for the different functions.
i am using the iPhine configeraor but have not havd any luck setting up diferent pass ciodes when restrictions is runed on.
What I would really like is to completely disbalte the "Reset" function from within iPhone onfigurator.

Sorry but no, that's not possible, at least not with the current version of iOS. You can have a different passcode for the screen lock and for the Restrictions, but that's all, and the Reset functions cannot be restricted.

IS there a way to recover your bookmarks from the program files after an OS crash?

My computer won't boot but all of my files are intact. I want to recover my book marks on my new computer, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get back into the old operating system to create the export file.

Luckly we found it in an old notebook, but, what would happen if we didn't find it? Do we have to creater a new database and migrate all data, users, etc... from the old one to the new one?

You don't have to create a new database.
Every user who is member of the BS-group sysdba can connect "/ as sysdba" and is the user sys.
In an unix environment this is the group of the owner of the oracle database files. You find the group also in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib/config.c

It has been a couple weeks since I have last made a purchase on iTunes, and for some reason it decided to stop using the remaining balance on my giftcard when I recently tried to make a purchase. It shows that I do indeed have a balance left but asks me to verify my payment options when I try to make a purchase. When I click Billing Verification it takes me to a page that only shows my credit card info, but does not have the option to charge the giftcard. When I look at my account info, it states that I have to redeem the giftcard that I have already used multiple times to make purchases.So, my question is, is there a way to recover the redemption code without having the card? Of course, I threw it away because, honestly, who keeps those??

You may be able to restore from backup if they were there when you last synced.

I am using an older MacBook Pro (15-inch Core 2 Duo), running Mac OS X Lion version 10.7.4, an iPhone 4, iPad 1, and iPod Touch, all using iOS 5.1.1 (9B206). I regularly use iCal on my iPhone and on my computer, but not on the iPad and iPod Touch.
I do not use iCloud because my personal calendar and contact information was appearing on other family member's iPhones. (We share an iTunes library in under my Apple ID, and I did not want to create a different Apple ID for iCloud yet.).
Is there a way to recover my iCal info on my computer? Or alternatively, could I recover it on my iPhone from my iTunes backups (my iTunes backups are encrypted)?
Of course, I learned my lesson, and if I recover my data, I will back up my calendar daily, but for now, valuable information is lost, and I would like to recover it if at all possible.

You'll have to confirm with the developer of Keeper whether the data is stored as part of the iPhone backup or not. If it is, then restoring the iPhone from your latest back should restore the data to Keeper. My guess, though, is that since the free version of Keeper won't allow you to create a backup, the data is not part of the iTunes backup and hence won't be restored.

No in order to backup to iTunes, you would need to unlock your phone.
In order to import pics to your computer you would need to unlock your phone.

Is there a way to recover the most recent version of your hard drive, after you installed an earlier version. I accidentally restored to an earlier version of my Mac Book lap top and installed it on my iMac desk top. I installed the earlier version using an Apple Time Machine and Apple Time Capsule.
I see some recovery software online, but I'm not sure if I should buy one or if there's another way to approach this problem.
The restored version has some of my files, but it's 2 full years old!
Am I dead in the water?
I appreciate any advice you can offer on alternative recovery techniques or recovery software recommendations.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately the whole time I thought the TM/TC was backing up correctly as the thing was starting and stopping as if everything was fine. I guess I was blinded by the little green light that was always on. So actually it does not have a recent version of my iMac, - it only lists old 2011 and 2012 versions of my Macbook. I suppose I screwed something up at setup, and as it was hard lined (via a T5 cable) into my iMac, and the Macbook was shut down in a drawer, I never realized the error.
The restored version is less than a Gig, so there's plenty of room left on the iMac (1TB HD). As such, I'm hoping that most of the files have not really been overwritten.
I'm willing to pay to have it professionally recovered, but is that even possible?
