I took a bunch of photos over the weekend before my phone got crushed. My iCloud hasn't backed up anything since before the weekend. My phone still turns on and charges, but the screen is completely smashed out so I can't enter my passcode to upload anything to itunes. My wifi connection is turned off as well. Is there any way that I can get the photos backed up to the iCloud before I restore everything onto my new phone?
There must be something amiss here. Your Camera Roll would only have everything up to the last backup, but Photo Stream should be current. From the iCloud Troubleshooting Support article:
Photos and videos in your Camera Roll are included in your iCloud backup and will download to your iOS device during the restore process.
Photos in your Photo Stream are already stored in iCloud, so they are not part of your backup. iCloud stores the photos uploaded to My Photo Stream for 30 days. To keep the photos in your photo streams on your device and make them part of your backups, save these photos to your Camera Roll or another album.
To view My Photo Stream or a shared photo stream, make sure the photo stream features are turned on in Settings > Photos & Camera.
To recover photos that originally synced to your device from your computer, sync your device using iTunes on a computer.
To restore Camera Roll photos to an iPhone or iPod touch, the iCloud backup must be from an iPhone or iPod touch. To restore Camera Roll photos to an iPad, the iCloud backup must be from an iPad.
Your device needs to be connected to Wifi to get the entire Photo Stream pushed back to it, and it can take some time. But there is no reason why those later photos should not be in your Photo Stream, if you were signed onto the same iCloud account when you were taking those photos, and if you had Photo Stream turned on....

If you choose to buy a phone second hand without knowing the person or doing your work to make sure it's not stolen or locked, then that's the price you pay for not doing your homework and it's no one's fault but your own. Apple even gives step by step instructions on how to check if it's locked. In the end, it's your issue between you and the person you purchased it from, not anyone else's problem. next time, but form a trusted source or check before buying.
THe same thing would happen if you bought a car used form a random guy and realized it was stolen. The police would take the car form you (maybe even take you to jail for receiving stolen property) and you would be out of your money. Are you going to call the car manufacturer and say it's their fault you didn't check before giving all your money away to a stranger. No one's fault but your own.
Good Luck and buy from trusted sources. If it's cheap, it too good to be true.

You don't just click the home and sleep button, you have to hold them down for at least 10 seconds while it is connected to the charger. If it comes awake (and it could take several tries) ignore the red Off slider, wait for the Apple logo and then let go of the buttons.
But that may not work. Polymer Ion batteries need exercise, a full power cycle is recommended once a month. Your battery may be dead. -
when I leave my imac unattended for about 15 minutes, instead of it going to sleep, it shuts off entirely. Is there any way I can have it go to sleep after about 15 minutes of inactivity, without it shutting off entirely?

I have an iPhone 3G and I had skype installed before it updated to v.4. Now, during a backup, iTunes tells me i can no longer run Skype on my iPhone because the latest version of Skype is not compatible. Is there any way I can install an older version?

The CC control panel use to show my 4 applications CC, CS6, LR5 and Bridge, now LR5 is no longer showing up. I pay for the photographer bundle, which includes LR5 and CC, why has it been dropped off? About every 1 1/2 hours, it automatically shuts down to cool off. Is there any way to manually turn it on? Or, do they have to be replaced?
I tried that with no improvement. I think I might have to have the fans replaced. do you know if this is a particularly difficult procedure? Something wierd that I've noticed is that if I have a video on for more than several minutes, the fans comes on, and also when I am on a Skype video conference for awhile. Otherwise, the fan jst doen't come on as the intels heaten up to the point the the auto shut down kicks in...any advise? This definitely interupts my work! Thanks for your help and input thus far!

I have updated my iphone 3gs to ios 5 from 4.1 and it has locked back to the orginal sim card in america but as i live in ireland an american simcard wont work here is there any way i can unlock ios 5 or delete it off my iphone and go back to 4.1 so i can use my iphone ?
It sounds like you have a hacked/unofficially unlocked iphone. When you update, it will indeed lock it back, as it should.
The ONLY place that can legitimately unlock an iphone is the carrier to which they are locked and no U.S. carrier does this. -
Is there any way I can switch Automatic Backup off?
Is there any way I can turn automatic backups off in Logic Pro 8? Apple has set it so you can't switch them off any more. (You could switch them off in Logic versions 6 and 7.)
I see other people have had this problem and it has been discussed on these forums but nobody seems to have offered a crystal clear solution.

But I can't see exactly how or where to do this.
Open the Terminal application. Type the command above and press return.
Note that setting it to 0 *does not* turn it off, it gives you one autobackup next to the song file, rather than creating an auto backup folder and putting the backups in there. -

There's only one thing you can do: make an appointment with Apple genius at the Apple retail store for a out of warranty replacement.

No. You must connect your iPad to a computer (it does not have to be yours) in order to restore it to factory settings.
Once you're home, you can restore it from a backup.
Any content that you did not backup has been lost.

There isn't an iOS 7.4 - there was a 7.0.4 (and 7.0.6), 7.1 is the current version.
